Disclaimer I don't own A House in Darkness or any of its characters.
glittering
glitters, always
light, spilling into broad, bright rooms, through windows sills, through window panes
as water overflowing, the bathtub's edge, the dam's wall, gushing furiously along the spillway, as water rushing, to become a part of another drowning ship:
come to me, I will come to you - no, no, don't - but that is all I want, to be a part of you
the light
it glitters through daylight and darkness, cast with long shadows and dusty corners
as flames leap and golden glow is thrown
from wall to wall, without a sound
but for the sigh
of people in the night
ah, now we can see and not stumble
ah, that warm flame
i slip, into slumber, a world of dull reflections and half-blurred conversations, to the ears, tired
ever so tired
as I am, now
now, just me
are there others, too? like this?
I do not know, I cannot know
I am dragged, deeper into the unglamorous, the darkness
the lack of glitter
of any glimmering hope
the light of yours eyes
has even slipped away
from me
out of my sight
I am not looking for you
no longer
do I search for the sight of you
I am not looking
are you?
do you look for me? see me? try to reach me?
and yet, I am too far
too far to reach
though your fingers brush my skin
and bother my senses
that are sleeping, too
as I am.
