Dearest Char, darling Char, beloved Char,
Any frustration or doubt that my letters may have afforded you, I hope will be relieved by the end of this one. I will not play with your emotions and get to the point. I love you. You were right, what a relief it is! Today, I write to you as one who is exactly the right age to marry. I am not too short either for I have come to find that love is not something to be measured in height but in depth and with every letter I am more and more amazed at the depths of you, even the worst parts that you are determined to reveal to me. I am also not too hungry to marry. I have just eaten and on that quarter I am satisfied. The only thing I am hungry for is a response and so I will end this with one more declaration of love and admiration. My grace, expression, voice and any other virtues you seem to think I am in possession of have always and forever will be yours.
With all my love,
Ella
