Author's Note: This is for the ULTIMATE Collab Challenge - May - on the Young Justice FanFiction Challenges Forum. My lovely partner was 06Vinny90! 8D Prompt: "He had it coming." but we changed it to "SHE had it coming." :)

"She's not going to make it," Robin mumbled to Wally as they stood at the edge of the training area.

Everyone was currently standing at attention waiting for training to begin. All were present - even Batman - except for Megan, again.

"The Bat is going to kick her butt all the way back to Mars if she doesn't get here soon," Wally mumbled back.

"Be quiet both of you!" Artemis said, "It is over in about two minutes and Black Canary is still talking to him, she is going to make it."

Wally laughed, "She is not, she's been late every day this week!"

"She is going to make it," Artemis snapped, "Look, they have four more files to go and those aren't exactly paper thin."

"Yeah, but she always waits for the preview for the next episode."

"It's the season finale, stupid."

"So she will be squealing at the television for an hour."

"She knows that she needs to be here!"

"She'll be lost in the moment!"

"Will you two just get a room already?" Robin groaned.

The two turned on the youngest fiercely, their faces as red as the Flash's costume. They opened their mouths-

"Enough!" Kaldur hissed forcefully. He pointed to where Black Canary and Batman were standing- Black Canary looking at them disapprovingly through the corner of her eye.

The young heroes went silent, squirming under her gaze. They stood at attention as they waited for the two senior-vigilantes to finish their updates. Their eyes continuously flickered to the door on their left. At every little sound, their heads snapped in the doors direction - even when it clearly came from the other side of room.

The minutes ticked by, slowly and painstakingly decreasing, but there was no sign of her. Megan was running out of time.

...thirty...twenty-nine...twenty-eight...twenty seven...

Batman closed the last file.

….twenty-four...twenty-three...twenty-two... twenty-one...

The file was set on the table, and the team - minus one - did a collective flinch.

….seventeen...sixteen….fifteen...fourteen...

Black Canary nodded, and the two turned to face the team.

….thirteen...twelve...eleven...ten...

Their heavy footsteps echoed throughout the hall as they marched towards them.

….nine...eight...seven...six...

There was still no sight nor sound of Megan.

…..five...four...

Batman and Black Canary came to a stop in front of the awaiting teens.

….three...two...

Batman looked down the line, his masked eyes narrowed.

…..one...

"Where is-"

...zero...

"Present!" Megan said breathlessly as she quickly flew in and landed next to Superboy.

The entire room went silent. Batman turned to her, his heavy boots echoing as he stomped toward the place where she was still hovering slightly above the ground. Batman towered over her, his ruthless glare causing her to look down and fiddle with her thumbs in a fit of nervousness.

"Miss Martian," The Dark Knight said, as cold as ever, "explain to us why you are late."

Megan continued twiddling her thumbs, not wanted to meet the man's petrifying gaze.

"Explain," He growled, making everyone in the room - besides Black Canary - flinch.

Megan mumbled something so softy that only Superboy could hardly hear it.

"Louder," Batman growled, his nonexistent patience running thin.

"I was watching television," Megan blurted out, then covered her mouth as if she just told some dark secret.

They all held their breaths as they waited for Batman to speak. It felt like days had passed before he did.

"I expect two-hundred percent from all of you today," Batman said firmly, his voice carrying a faint note of thinly veiled exasperation. "Now, go."

The entire team's eyes widened in shock - no punishment? No... that was too good to be true.

"Go!" Batman said again when the team didn't move.

Hurriedly, they scampered off onto the training pad. Wally looked to Robin for answers, but for once, the Boy Wonder had nothing to say about his mentor's odd actions.

Megan walked in a daze, still trying to absorb everything - her amazing season finale, Batman's strange reaction, and exactly how much two-hundred percent meant when it came to training. She ended up deciding to spar with Superboy, who had thus far not commented on the previous conversation. He really didn't see what the big deal was in the first place.

"Was it worth it?" He asked her bluntly, shifting into a fighting stance.

Megan, snapping out of her funk, smiled and replied "Yeah, it was worth it."

It was worth it, until she found that the television had been removed.

Once again, my partner 06Vinny90! So go check out her awesome stories :D

"(S)he had it coming"

This month was fun, but crazy. We lost a week and we had time zone issues but we made it through and whipped that out. 8D Hope you enjoyed it.

Reviews = The television being returned to Mount Justice? xD
