I love this couple to death Brandon&Olive. You could tell I hate Todd, and yes I do, he was so into her in the movie. I'm sorry, if you guys hate this.
A/N: I don't own the Easy A.
Chapter 1: Light
Olive wasn't sure about what was going on. But suddenly, she wanted to be around him all the time, everyday, and every minute. He made her feel- different, since no one was talking to her anymore. Todd was ignoring her, after she told him she didn't want to kiss him and the surprising thing was, she didn't care. She only cared about Brandon, but she shouldn't and she knows she shouldn't. He already clarified he was gay; there wasn't a need to ask him again. But she wanted to be with him, she wanted him. She wish she could yell it to the world, I want him simple as that. But, he doesn't want me difficult as pie. So she sat there on her bed, starring at the wall. Hoping for a text message from him, she wanted to feel like he wanted her. Even though, he was obviously gay.
Her phone sounded.
It wasn't Brandon, it wasn't Todd. It was Marianne. And it didn't matter if she read it or not, because it was obviously a hate text. Since, well, all of them were. But she read it anyway; she didn't know why she just did. She smudged her thumb across the screen, and pressed the enter button. She wasn't expecting anything unusual, she knew it was going to offend her; Marianne always achieved that especially on other terms.
-God bless you, I hope he still has mercy on you. Twitch-
What made her life was Marianne's lack of trash talk. She was always blessing her as if that was going to help that nose job, she needed. Olive fell back on the bed, and laid her phone on her stomach. She didn't know and or care; why people hated the fact she was losing her virginity with anyone- as if it was real. It just made her mad people couldn't leave her alone about it; she just wanted to sleep without being bothered at 2 AM for a hate text. I mean, if someone had time to send her that- they had nothing to do. She just wanted to talk to Brandon, let alone- hug him. She wanted him to joke around with her until she forgot those stupid text messages. She wanted to laugh until her stomach stopped functioning. She just wanted him, is that so hard to ask for?
She turned her head and fixed her hair, then laid her head on the bed again. She stared at the door; waiting for her mom to tell her Brandon was here. She didn't want to even talk to her parents either, which is a huge surprise. She just wanted Brandon. And so with that said, Olive knew she would probably be locked up in here all weekend. Well, until school on Monday.
Then the door creaked open and her dog's head peeked in. She sighed, and patted her bed letting the dog know, "you are allowed to come in." And so, the dog jumped on the bed and sat down exactly where she patted. "Yeah- you love it, don't you?" She joked. She giggled lightly then laid out her hand for the dog to lick it. To which he did, right before falling into deep sleep. Then Olive's eyes started to close, and before she noticed it- she too was tired! So she fell right to sleep. She didn't know how long it was, all she knows was it was so relieving. Sleep was what she really needs to get away from all these rumors and lies. And besides, Brandon was way too busy with his life to notice anything really.
Or was he?
Because the minute Olive softly opened her eyes, Brandon was smiling at her in amusement. She jumped and fell off the bed, "What the hell? Brandon, you can't just walk into my room!" She removed strands off her face since the fall. He smiled chuckling, "I'm sorry, you just look so adorable while sleeping." With that said, he already had Olive blushing and forgetting about the whole situation. "Why are you here, anyways?" She lifted her pants from the fall and sat next to him on the bed. "See..." he folded his hands and his legs, "my parents don't want me because I'm gay." Olive's face fell, were people seriously that homophobic? He's their freaking child for god sakes, and they just forget that when he tells them he's gay. She rubbed his back, "Well, you were honest." She smiled, with a crack. This was one problem, Olive couldn't fix.
He sighed and turned to her, "I just wish they could love me for who I am. Not for what they see." He shrugged and stood up. "And that's why I'm moving." Olive froze, so that was it? He was going to move and she wasn't going to see him ever again. The one guy Olive wants is moving, seriously! "Wait! What?" She stopped him from going any further, and took a breath herself. She started pacing, "you're the only friend I have, Brandon." Brandon grabbed her arm and pulled her into a hug. Which Olive wanted so bad but, couldn't stop thinking about the fact he was leaving. He let go, "I'm sorry, but did you really expect me to stay?" He said before walking to the door. "That's not fair! I pretended to have sex with you, at least give me something in return!" Olive yelled; Brandon turned around to Olive. "This isn't my fault! You chose to have 'sex' with me! Besides, I won't leave a lie!" Olive's heart broke, now Brandon was beginning to be like everyone else.
"Go, Brandon. You're just like everyone else; you're not half the friend I thought you were." Olive said, before returning to her place on the bed. She sat down, and flipped her phone open. "Don't pull that sensitive crap with me, Olive!" He yelled, tired of Olive thinking about herself. It wasn't fair he couldn't live with his parents- let alone be accepted by them. "What crap? You're the one blaming for something you asked!" Olive yelled before her frustration took control of her emotions, "Brandon, you're not my friend anymore, okay? It's settled!" She yelled before she fell on the bed tired of yelling.
"Fine then," he scoffed, "sorry Olive." He said before walking out of the room and closing the door.
She threw a pillow at the door because of all these mixed up emotions he made her feel. Olive really wanted to hit him yet kiss him at the same time. She liked him, but he was gone and she didn't know where but he was. So, it's done, whatever she thought was going to happen between them- finished. He was gay anyways, there was nothing she could do. All Olive could do now is dream, which is what she has been doing for a whole entire freaking week! She was tired of all this different pressures on her, all she wanted was him. Why couldn't she have that? Then she would be fulfilled.
Which is when her phone rang, Todd wanted to talk to her- now. She answered the phone, jaded with all this drama. None of them spoke or said anything until, Todd said something.
-Are you gonna keep ignoring me, Penderghast? - He said, his tone seemed so irritated, like he was done with me. –Now, I have to bring you to my attention 'cause you keep calling, Woodchuck. - She responded, she didn't care that he had so called feelings for her. She had feelings for Brandon, but she wasn't shoving it down his throat. - Olive, what's wrong? You said you liked me. – He said, clearly not knowing what was going on with her. She didn't care about him, didn't he get that? – A month ago; when I was lost in some fairyland, where the blondes always get the guys. And I'm not a blonde, so I don't know why I said that but, yeah. - She didn't know what to say, she just wanted to stop talking to him, was that hard? He chuckled on the other side of the phone, and it sounded like he smiled. – See, I'm the only one who understands you, Olive. Be with me. – Olive for the first time was disgusted with him, - No, dickhead. – So, she hung up.
For the rest of the day, she sat on her bed, tired of everyone bugging her. She wanted to be alone for the first time. She didn't even want Brandon, even though she had feelings for him, for the first time- she wanted to be left alone. Everyone was letting her down, especially the one guy she was waiting for this whole entire time- Brandon.
"Olive! Dinner!" Her mother yelled, from the kitchen. Olive rose from the bed and walked down the steps. Her mother could see the distress in her eyes when she walked down. And, usually her mother was funny but she knew something was up. Olive sat down and hesitated. She didn't even feel hungry; everything was starting to bother her. So, she pushed the plate aside, "I'm not hungry." She started to get off the chair but her mother stopped her. "Wanna eat upstairs, Olive, with me?" She raised an eyebrow; Olive knew her mother wanted to know what was up. Olive nodded softly, and took the plate. Her father and brother confused about it, they watched them go up the stairs.
"Dad, what is up?" He raised an eyebrow at his dad, and the dad simply responded, "I don't know, girls are different."
The door closed and Rosemary turned to Olive with a concern. "Alright, what's up? This is seriously getting out of hand, Olive. You don't eat, sleep or spend time with us anymore- so open up to Momma Rose." She jumped on the bed and put her head on her hands. Olive chuckled lightly, but didn't laugh so much since the situation was bothering her. "Well, Momma Rose, a guy I like is moving because he's gay and his family hates him." She said, hastily, eating a bit of rice. "You like the homosexual, who asked to come in like an hour ago!" She jumped up, Olive quickly got up. "It's Brandon, not the 'homosexual'." She saddened, her life was getting worse. "Olive, if you really like that guy. Let him go, isn't him being happy making you happy?" Rosemary said, before returning to normal herself, "Besides I have been with tons of homosexuals, so I should know." Olive fell back on the bed with vexation. "Yeah, but I fought with him before he walked out of here." Rosemary lastly said, "Then apologize, Olive and eat your food!" She then took her plate and walked out.
Olive felt relieved at least, she told someone. But, the problem was still there. She couldn't just walk up to Brandon.
All of these pressures and problems were making life horrible. Olive just wanted to live a normal life, but she obviously couldn't. Why? Because she loved a homosexual who wasn't ever going to love her back. Because Marianne is going to make her life a living hell. Because Rhiannon isn't going to be here for most of this to help her through it and because Todd will never leave her alone. No matter how many times, she asks Todd to leave her alone or apologizes to Rhiannon- she will never have peace from neither. Marianne has always been a bother in her life, but she knew she really did hurt her this time. Which is what bothered Olive, Marianne was finally her friend but now, she's someone she needs to fix things with. Not to make things have worse, but she had to fix things with Brandon.
Olive was going to fix all of these, because she cared, she cared for everyone. And she didn't want texts from all of these people telling her to go die. More like 3 people out of these, one of these will end up stalking her- Todd. But for now, Olive stuck to do homework and her responsibilities because she just wanted to be alone for once.
She just wished he liked her back.
