I apologize for taking so long to make this, I was busy with school. Although, I made time to make this, happy? Any who, I'm planning to make another story when I finish this one. I don't know when I'll finish this one though. I'm pretty sure I wanna do about 25 chapters, and then end it. I don't like doing like, 5,000 chapters. Any ways, enjoy the story!
Disclaimer: I do not own Easy A or Bad Teacher.
Chapter 7: Reconciliation
"I've missed you," Olive let out, as she played with the coffee mug set in front of her.
Brandon and Olive decided to talk things out; they didn't want to be like this forever. And, they still had valid feelings for each other, these valid strong feelings for each other, which would probably never go away. Olive knew it, and so did Brandon, they couldn't deny it.
But that still didn't change the fact that Olive cheated on him, or so he thinks. He doesn't know what actually happened; he doesn't know who to believe. But, he loves Olive just as much as she misses him. "I missed you…too." Brandon softly spoke out; he stared down at the coffee mug in front of him as well. He didn't know what he was looking at, it was just coffee, but he needed something to distract him from Olive. So, he stared at the brown liquid placed in a mug in front of him, and as the swirls of milk circled the coffee. He just looked.
"I really am sorry, you know I like you, and I would never sleep with someone like Todd," she gulped, "he forced me." Her eyes gazed at Brandon, and he wasn't looking at her. But, she continued to stare at him until he would feel comfortable to lift his head. She waited, and yet Brandon stared at the coffee with no facial expression exposed. He was just staring.
"It's hard to believe," Brandon lifted his head, "when I saw, what I saw." He lightly grabbed the coffee and sipped a bit of the warm drink. It sort of comforted him, it warmed his stomach, from the icy feeling it had. Olive's eyes held onto his, and it seemed like they could do this for hours. Even though, in reality they can't. Olive had to head home to finish some assignments and college applications. She wasn't really leaving her hometown. She decided she'd stay for Brandon, although, she doesn't know if he'll stay either.
"Brandon, I wouldn't-" Brandon cut her off.
"I know you wouldn't…" he said, then stared into his mug again, "but I saw it."
Olive's held her face, trying to force herself from crying. She needed to be mature; he had a reason to be mad. He saw what he saw, and no one could tell him wrong. "If you could just listen to me," she said, "then you'd understand." Olive grabbed his hand from across the table, and gripped it. His facial expression softened, and he lifted his head. After a few minutes of Brandon staring at her, his face hardened again and he brought his hand onto his side of the table.
"Olive, you were there against him. You-you, were gripping onto him like, like if you wanted it. It's hard to believe what I saw, wasn't real…" he said, putting himself in a vulnerable spot, "I-I want to believe you, I do. But, I saw it…"
"Please, let me explain Brandon." She said, reaching across to grip his hand again. "If you do, I promise I will leave you alone… if you want me to."
Brandon stared at the wooden table in front of him, the way the small dark circles made a strange pattern. The way the table had several circles, it sort of reminded him of him. He lightly lifted his head, and gripped Olive's hand. Brandon let out a soft smile, and then nodded, telling her to go with her side of what happened.
"Brandon, I swear… nothing happened," she gulped, "it was going so fast, I-I can't even remember it." Olive eyes were filling up with tears, and she didn't know why they did fill with tears. He was supposed to be crying for what she did, even though she didn't want that to happen. Brandon gave a warm smile, and then rubbed her hand. He was comforting her, and she felt comforted already. Him being there for her was enough comfort for her. He didn't have to be there, or even encourage her. "Todd came over, because he didn't like that I was with you. He-he, was mad, really mad." She sniffled, and a tear duct fell from her eye. Brandon lightly wiped, the tear sliding down her left cheek, away. He continued to nod, letting her know, it was okay. He was still mad, but he never liked to see Olive cry, it made his heart throb.
"Olive, it's okay, I'm not leaving you anytime soon, not even later. So, please, tell me." He begged, rubbing her hand lightly, again. She suddenly felt in such comfort, she could admit anything. She could even admit some of her secrets that he never knew. "Please."
"He attacked me, he was-I guess, aching for me…" she stared into Brandon's eyes, "and I wanted to stop him, but I was so… weak." Olive's voice began to crack, and the tears started to fall even faster. "And then, you walked in, and-a-"
"And, I got mad at you… for something you didn't do." He gulped, and suddenly his heart drowned with guilt. She didn't even cheat on him, or try. She loved him, a lot more then he even knew. Suddenly, his love for Olive grew, grew a lot more then last time. "Olive, you are so strong," he chuckled, "stronger then me."
"So, you were sexist before?" She lightly laughed at his remark, and a small tear came out. She wasn't crying anymore, she was just happy. Olive was about to wipe her last tear, until Brandon held her hand and wiped it for her. He lightly lifted himself from the chair, and leaned in. Olive pressed her lips against his, and for the first time, she felt – better. He lightly pressed his lips a little harder on hers, and grabbed her chin to keep himself steady. Olive laughed lightly in between the kiss, which caused Brandon to let go.
"What?" Brandon asked, slightly chuckling himself.
"I'm just… happy..." she said, before leaning in for another kiss. Brandon kept the motion of this kiss steady. Olive lifted herself from the chair as well, and began to grip his back. The two quickened the pace of the kiss, and before they knew it, it sort of became a make-out session.
After the kiss, and reconciliation between the two, Brandon suggested microwaving some popcorn for the two. Olive suggested watching a movie, Bad Teacher, to be exact. It was a sweet way to spend some time together, and to finally watch the movie, Olive never saw.
Olive sat down on the green couch, while Brandon slouched down next to her, so he could lean his head on her shoulder. The two locked hands and used the other hands to feed themselves the buttery popcorn. The movie began to play and began to introduce many movies, you know, the previews. Many of the movies were funny, while others weren't as funny as the others. They did cause Brandon and Olive to laugh lightly, and grip each other's hands tighter. Then, the movie began to play and Olive already dreaded it. She thought it was good, but she kind of wanted to be able to talk to Brandon. She wanted to get to know him better.
The movie, after one hour and a half, ended. It was pretty good, and all, but even though it was, Brandon and Olive found themselves asleep.
Olive's head rested on Brandon's lap, while he was resting his head on the couch pillows. The popcorn bowl laid on the table, empty, and even the seeds weren't there. But, what really mattered was the fact that, this was one of their first dates. And, the outcome wasn't as nice as normal first dates, but it was enough for them.
Brandon softly awoke from a soft movement Olive made, since she was on his lap.
He lightly rubbed her head so she could wake up. But, she made no sound and did nothing at all. She looked kind of… cute. So, he stayed there and pretended he was asleep, but he was actually studying her facial features. Until, Olive woke up, and lifted herself and made a soft yawn. He turned to her, never leaving her gaze. Brandon stroked her cheek, while she gripped the hand lying on the couch. They just gazed at each other, until Olive made the move to give him a soft kiss, which he found himself poured into. She lightly wrapped her arms around his neck, and he lightly grabbed the back of her head.
And the two stayed in that movement, until Olive let go and just gazed at him. "I have to go."
"Now?"
"Yeah," she laughed, "it's like 9 and I have homework, Frankenstein." Olive got up and exited the room to look for her jacket.
"It's actually," he fixed his eyes on his watch, "never mind. Just stay please?" He said gripping her into a hug from behind. Olive liked this hug, she really did, but she really had to go. So, she tried to escape his hug, but it wasn't working.
"Brandon, let. Go." She said, as he gripped her tighter and she was sure she probably now had bruises.
"Fine, but I'm mad at you." He said, forming a pout as she turned to face him. It was kind of cute, and it was manipulating her. So, she gave him a quick kiss then ran to the door to leave. If not, she would have stayed all day there, and she did not want to. She kind of, sort of, wanted to. But, she knew that if she did, she would never leave. So after a nice day at Brandon's house, she was starting over think their future together.
She sort of liked the thought of being with Brandon for the rest of her life.
Did you guys like it? I couldn't stand them not being together. Any ways, constructive criticism.
