Chapter 9: Cheating at Carnival Games
Maxwell and Philippe were wandering through a forest when they saw a lumberjack trying to cut down a tree with his bare hands.
Philippe: You need any help with that Mr.?
Lumberjack: Yes, I could use some help.
Philippe: By the way, why are you trying to cut down that tree using your bare-hands?
Maxwell: Philippe, this is a video game. You're not supposed to question these things.
Philippe: Oh.
Maxwell: I shall fell this tree with its natural enemy! The beaver!
Maxwell Then wrote the word "Beaver" in his note book. He then picked up the beaver and pulled its tail. The beaver started chomping.
Maxwell: You might want to stand back!
Maxwell loosed the beaver on the tree. Soon the tree was cut down and a starite was in Maxwell's hands.
Lumberjack: Thanks!
Maxwell: You're welcome.
Soon, Maxwell and Philippe were in a park in a city, and the carnival was in town. Maxwell noticed that the park was a wreck.
Maxwell: This Park is a wreck!
Philippe: Yeah, I know. The Narrator already said that.
Me: Stop breaking the 4th wall!
Maxwell picked up a candy wrapper and a bottle on the ground and put them in a trash can. Then, he put on a jetpack and took a magazine that was in a tree in the trashcan.
Philippe: now to take care of that fly.
Fly: Buzz! (WHAT?)
Philippe wrote "Bazooka" in his notebook and launched it at the fly. A starite appeared in Maxwell's hands.
Maxwell: Cool.
Maxwell and Philippe decided to play at one of those carnival games where you throw a ball and try to knock down some bottles.
Game Attendant: 25 cents a try.
Maxwell: Okay.
Maxwell gave the attendant a quarter. Then, instead of throwing the ball that was provided, he wrote "Throwing Axe" and threw the axe at the legs of the table that the bottles were on, causing the bottles to fall.
Game Attendant (Shocked): That doesn't count!
Maxwell: technically, I did knock down all of the bottles, so you have to give me a prize.
Attendant: fine.
Maxwell chose the starite on the top shelve as his prize. Maxwell and Philippe were back in the park, when they came across a hippie eating a sandwich. He was surrounded by ants.
Maxwell: you need any help stopping those ants?
Hippie: I could use some help.
Philippe: Okay then!
Philippe was about to write "Machine Gun" but the hippie stopped him.
Hippie: Not so fast, Sir Trigger-happy McBlastBlast! Don't hurt the ants.
Philippe: What! Fine.
Maxwell and Philippe both wrote the word "Wall" and used the walls to surround the hippie and keep away the ants. This caused a starite to appear in Maxwell's hands.
