Epilogue

Tails and Blaze left the dungeon, the former fully dressed in his armor. They were greeted by Cosmo and Sally, whom the dove had already told of Blaze's conversion. All four group-hugged, and then walked back to the enclave to recover from the events of the past few weeks. Later that evening, as Tails began falling asleep, he heard the dove again. "Well done, Tails." With that, everything went black. Had someone been present, he would have seen a white light envelop Tails before fading again, leaving the bed empty.

Tails awoke to the sound of a doorbell ringing. Doorbell? Yes, he was back in his own universe now. Tails groggily answered the door. "Who is it?"

On his front doorstep stood a tall mobian fox, with sapphire eyes and gray-streaked golden fur; he wore small spectacles and carried a Bible under his arm. Something seemed…familiar, but Tails could not quite place his paw on it. "Good morning, sir!" the elder said cheerily, "I am Jacob C. Prower, and I would-"

"Dad?" Tails realized aloud.

Jacob paused for a moment and actually studied Tails for a moment. A short silence followed before the older fox sniffled and said, "Miles?" recognizing his son's scent after all those years. The father and son reunited in a hug; later on Tails told Jacob of his acceptance of Christ. He also told every single one of his friends about it. Sonic was the most excited about this news, as Blaze (this dimension's Blaze) and Silver had accepted Christ the day before.

"You know what this means, little bro?" Sonic asked. "We get to spend eternity together!" Sonic laughed as he gave his new brother in Jesus a noogie.
