Zetsu was glad to be back home - lunch had really taken a toll on him. He had left Pein and Konan after they returned back to the base to head to his room, but maybe that was a good thing - Madara had taken total control of Tobi once more and was currently waiting for Pein and Konan in their office.
Madara wasn't happy.
"Madara-sama." Pein addressed politely, hoping that Madara wasn't about to hit him again.
"Don't give me that!" Madara shouted. "Why did you tell Tobi about me! Why!"
Pein narrowed his eyes. "Tobi has a right to know that someone is using his own body as a vessel."
Madara growled again and grabbed Pein by the throat, slamming him against the wall.
"If that little shit messes up my plans, I will kill you." Madara snarled.
"Go ahead and try." Pein said calmly. "Now release me."
"You little -!" Before Madara could say another word, he had collapsed to the ground, small whimpers alerting Pein and Konan to Tobi's re-emergence.
Konan knelt down, helping Tobi to his feet.
"Are you okay, sweetie?" Konan asked, leading the male over to the small couch. "Sit down and you'll feel better."
Tobi nodded and sat down, holding his aching head. He whimpered. "T-tobi's head hurts… Madara-san makes Tobi's head hurt…"
"Shh…" Konan soothed, hugging Tobi. "It's okay. You just need to have a nap."
Tobi nodded and closed his eyes. "Goodnight, Konan-chan…"
Konan smiled, amused by Tobi's words – it was hardly past twelve in the afternoon. "Have a good sleep, Tobi-kun."
When Tobi awoke, he was laying on the couch in Pein's office, covered with a blanket. He sat up and yawned.
"Where is Tobi…?" Tobi asked himself, looking around – he was too tired to recognise Pein's office.
A voice in the back of Tobi's head was what had answered him. Tobi almost screamed in terror.
"What's happening?" Tobi begun sobbing. "W-who is talking to Tobi? W-where are you? Is that Madara-san?"
"Yes, Tobi. So, we finally meet…"
Tobi flinched, not liking the ice-cold tone of Madara's voice. "Tobi doesn't like Madara-san…"
"You disrespectful little shit…! I should kill you here and now!"
Tobi squealed. "No, please! Don't! Don't hurt Tobi!"
The mere shock of Madara alone had caused Tobi to faint.
When Tobi came to once again, he was back in his own bedroom. Someone must have moved him.
"Madara…?" Tobi whimpered, hoping that it had all been a dream.
"M-mm!" Tobi whimpered, cowering from the unseen threat. "Don't hurt Tobi!"
"Just shut up…"
Before Tobi could reply, the bedroom door was pushed open and Pein stood in the doorway, his eyes narrowed.
"Tobi, I need to talk to you for a minute." The ginger said.
"What about…?" Tobi whispered, tearing up. "Madara-san is already yelling at Tobi…"
Pein sighed. "So you're talking to him, are you…?"
Tobi nodded timidly.
"Tobi, that's what I wanted to talk to you about… But clearly, Madara has gotten to you, first."
Pein watched as the boy jumped before flinching and whimpering.
"…H-he said that Pein-sama should not have interfered…" Tobi whispered, his one eye wide with fear. "…H-he said that… everything is now ruined…"
"Tobi, as long as you keep Madara a secret, things should work out fine." Pein said, trying to calm the distressed boy.
"Why does Tobi need a voice in his head…?" Tears flowed down pale cheeks at this question.
"Tobi's a schitzo?"
Tobi and Pein turned to the doorway. They found Deidara standing there with a horrified look on his face.
"There is no way I'm staying partnered with him!" Deidara shouted. "I won't work with a freak!"
Tobi hiccupped at the accusation before getting to his feet. He ran to the door, shoving Pein roughly out of the way and pushing past Deidara before disappearing off down the corridor.
Pein sighed and turned to Deidara. "Nice one, Deidara…"
"Yeah, well – it's true, yeah!" Deidara spat. "He should be killed before he gets us all killed because of voices in his head!"
Pein narrowed his eyes. He didn't approve of this at all. Without a word, he walked calmly past Deidara and down the corridor. He walked back to his office, deciding to talk with Konan about their next move. This was not going as planned…
A/N I'm aware that this one is so short but I honestly cannot remember for the life of me where this one was going. If there is anything anyone wants to see, then be sure to tell me, cause I cannot remember anything about this one… *nervous laugh*
