Chapter 1: Deal with the Devil

In the demon world, demon king Lucifer sat on his throne, looking bored.

"Ah, Gilbert, there is nothing to do anymore…it's so boring!" he complained, casually glancing at what it seems to be an unlit candle. "Sir, have you finished all your work?" his attendant, Gilbert, asked. "I finished those hours ago! I've got nothing to do, Vivi's become less adorable ever since she's gone." Lucifer watched Vivi slightly frowned as the thunder roared. "Nothing I do seems to irk him!"

'He must be recalling memories…' the demon king thought, placing the 'candle' down. "Lately, it's been boring these days…". "Well, what are you going to do about it, Lucifer-sama?" Moritz, the second demon king and his successor asked, waltzing in the room. "Bring her back to life?"

"Hmm…that sounds alright…" Lucifer let out a small, scheming smile.

Moritz and Gilbert looked at him, surprised. "It also sounds impossible" the former of the two owlishly stared at his predecessor, "Forgive me, but are you sure you aren't dying…or at the very least going senile? …"

The older demon king blasted him hard with a smile on his ticked face.

Lucifer merely waved at him. "I'm going out, alone." He stood up. "Where to, Lucifer-sama?" Gilbert asked.

"I'm going to visit an… old acquaintance of mine…".

(Later, in a dark castle somewhere in the Demon World…)

In one of the castle's well-kept gardens, demon king Lucifer was face to face with the mistress of the castle.

She was a tall, slender, fair-skinned woman whose long, sleek black hair seemed to reach the ground. She wore a black, lacy, body-hugging regal dress decorated with scarlet roses and sharp black thorns. Her blood-red eyes danced with mirth at the sight of her visitor, complimented by the smirk on her ruby red lips.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the great demon king Lucifer-sama. To what do I owe the pleasure?" she spoke in a playful tone, eyes on the bouquet of fresh roses she was holding.

"It's nice to see you too duchess Rhione, or should I say, Goddess of Death Dementia-sama." Lucifer replied, grinning playfully. As soon as he said those words, the roses the woman held in her hands quickly withered, the black petals swept away by the wind. "As for the reason why I'm here… let's just say that life in the demon world got boring again." Lucifer looked her in the eye.

"You were always different, you could look me in the eye and not cower in fear. It's so… irritating." Dementia commented, eyes closed and a smile gracing her lips.

She opened her eyes and put on a serious face. "You want me to revive her, correct?".

"Vivi's not adorable anymore!" The great demon king childishly pouted, "Nothing I do affects him!". The death goddess sweat-dropped. "Let me get this straight, you want me to revive her just so you can make Vivi 'adorable' again?" Dementia sounded irritated. "Do you want to die?".

Lucifer grinned.

"Do you want me to declare war on the 'angels' in heaven?".

"What the, my sister will kill me!" The death goddess narrowed her eyes at her companion, "You wouldn't dare…". The demon king merely smirked at her, "You know me.".

A minute of silence passed before Dementia sighed, slumping her shoulders "…Fine. You win, I'll revive the human.". "I knew you would!" Lucifer chirped in victory.

Dementia crossed her arms and frowned.

"Just as well, I know you are also bored, don't try to deny it…" her companion teased. "Oh, just reviving her won't be enough though…". "What are you thinking?" the goddess sure didn't want to know. "It'll be more fun if you take away her memories!" the demon king grinned.

Dementia looked at him exasperatingly. She opened her mouth but paused and smirked instead. Lucifer didn't miss this as he playfully asked, "Something to say?".

"Mmm, yes, I'll sweeten the deal for you…" She smiled like a vixen.

(Time Skip, Days Later…)

It was a commotion as the grand ballroom in the Palace was filled with party guests as the great demon king was hosting a welcoming party.

Among the invited guests were Velten, Ellinor, Toni, Anzu, Yamabuki, and of course Vivi.

In a secluded spot, the great demon king himself was busy frowning at his acquaintance, wearing a regal and royal looking outfit complete with a cloak. "I must admit, making her half-demon indeed sweetens the deal, but the demon blood extraction hurt. A lot.". He groaned, still feeling a bit sore.

"Well, I never said it's all serendipity and ecstasy you know…" Dementia smirked, trying hard not to laugh. She was also wearing a dark regal looking gown, complemented by her black accessories. Blood-red eyes filled with mirth, "I can't help it, your pain is just so enjoyable!". Gilbert inwardly sweat-dropped, 'They're both the same…'.

"Anyway, I think it's time you make your 'little' announcement now." Dementia's smirk widened. Lucifer merely grinned as he waltzed onto the center stage.

Meanwhile, with the gang, Velten was typically flirting with a random girl, causing Ellinor to get mad and hit him on the head causing him to fall unconscious and thereby proceeding to drag him off the shocked random lady. Vivi was irritated, silently swishing his glass of blood-wine. 'This is so annoying, why did that geezer have to make us come to this boring party? I want to go home.' He thought.

The whole crowd immediately quieted when the demon king took center stage. "I thank you all for coming to this little welcoming party!". 'Little my foot!' Vivi was tempted to strangle Lucifer as the latter was making a very long, and very boring speech. The demon king noticed his irritated aura and grinned. "Now, without further ado, please all welcome my sort-of blood relative, Hana!" he stepped aside to reveal a smiling brunette.

Vivi stopped swishing his glass, looked at the introduced girl and promptly widened his eyes.

"Hana!"

Me: Well, this and most of my stories might be updated a lot slower (Blame school.) but I promise that I'll try to update faster! Thanks to mayandrew for suggesting and requesting this! (She's also kinda the co-writer, or at least story consultant 'cause I'm still not very familiar with the character's… characters. (even if I DID finish the whole manga…)
