HOR SPRING CONFESSION

it was a peaceful day in Uzushiogakure the adult citizens were conversing with one another or buying and selling goods while the children played with each other. Shinobi were coming and going from their missions or sharping their skills in the training grounds. on some grassy hill in the village was a young shinobi wearing a simple blue t-shirt with black trousers his name is Naruto Urahara and he was currently laying on the grass with his eyes closed peacefully taking in the quietness before him after a long day of training.

"HEY NARUTO!" a voice said next to him he opened his eyes to see his best friend and partner in crime Kushina Uzumaki she was an orange shirt and blue jeans she had mesmerizing grey eyes and the most beautiful thing about her his Narutos opinion was her long cascading dark red hair that went all the way down to her waist.

"Yo Kushina what's up" Naruto said casually.

"Nothing much just came to tell you that Kisuke-sensei has decided to give us a break for the next three days although i don't know why" Kushina said thinking why there odd-ball sensei would give them a break all of a sudden.

"Probably so he can get reacquainted with Yoruichi-sensei after her mission dam perv" Naruto said it was well known that Naruto couldn't stand perverts the way they gave men a bad name and don't consider how much it affects women but he made an exception with Kisuke due to him being in a relationship with Yoruichi and being his adoptive father.

"Yeah you're probably right so do want to you know eh-hang out" Kushina said with a bit of nervousness that was unlike her as she was always so confident.

"Yeah sure beside don't we always hang out" Naruto replied with a grin.

"y-y-yeah s-so were d-do y-you want t-to go" Kushina was now starting to get nervous and Naruto could see it now.

"Kushina is something wrong" Naruto asked face full with concern.

"NO eh well could we maybe talk about it later" Kushina said suddenly which cause Naruto to reel back in surprise.

"Well sure i guess but could i go to the hot springs first i need to get a wash after training today" Naruto said he smelled and he didn't want to go around the rest of the day stinking.

"No problem i think i get one as well" Kushina said she also was training before she came across Kisuke and completely forgot about getting a shower.

"Ok let's go" and with that they were off but somewhere in the back of Naruto's mind he couldn't shake the feeling that today would present something that would change his life.

At the hot springs

Naruto had just entered the hot springs and was now soaking in the water relaxing "I wonder what made Kushina so nervous today hmm well she said she would tell me later it's probably nothing" but that nagging feeling would not go away he decided to try and ignore it. Suddenly the door opened Naruto didn't focus on it and just relaxed however the person was now sitting next to him released a sigh.

"What am i going to tell Naruto" he knew that angelic voice it was Kushina and she was sitting right next to him.

"Oh shit i must have entered the girls side by mistake shit Kushina will think I'm a pervert" Naruto thought he slowly moved his way to the door when he heard Kushina talk more.

"how the hell am i going to tell Naruto i have feelings for him" Kushina said in frustration at that moment Naruto tripped in shock on a piece of stone on the way out he never in a million years expected those words to come out of Kushina mouth an strangely that nagging feeling in the back of his head disappeared.

"ITAI!" Naruto shouted in pain as he hit his head of the stone floor.

"Hello are you okay" Kushina said as she rushed to the hurt voice only to find Naruto to her surprise. Naruto look back in horror he was caught he was so dead.

"KUSHINA IM SO SORRY I DIDNT REALISE THAT THIS WAS THE GIRLS SECTION PLEASE DONT THINK IM A PERV" Naruto shouted trying to save him from his friend's wrath.

"Naruto i don't think you're a perv wait what day is this?" Kushina said trying to calm him down.

"Eh its Tuesday why" Naruto replied seeing hope once again.

"I completely forgot this is mixed bathing da-"Kushina said also realising that she just confessed to Naruto without even knowing it.

"Damn i forgot it was mixed bathing hmm Kushina are you alright" Naruto said breathing a sigh of relief but also noting Kushina seemed to be quiet.

"N-N-Naru-uto h-how m-much o-f w–w-what i said d-id you h-hear" Kushina said timidly. Narutos eyes widened in realisation as well.

"All of it" Naruto concluded as he approached Kushina.

"I'm sorry" Kushina said surprising Naruto.

"Ku-"

"I shouldn't have said those things i was being stupid"

"Kushi-"

"I know I'm not good enough for you i_"

"KUSHINA!" Naruto shouted he grabbed her shoulders and force her to look at him she had been completely caught off guard by his outburst. She could now see the anger in his eyes "he must hate me i shouldn't have opened my big mouth" but what came next she could never have foresaw.

"DONT YO DARE EVER SAY YOURE NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ANYONE ESPECIALLY ME NEVER REGRET WHAT YOU JUST SAID!" Naruto said he wasn't angry that she admitted her feelings for him he was angry that she was putting herself down.

"What?" was all she could muster.

"Kushina you think i don't have feelings for you as well" Naruto responded softly Kushina was speechless the boy she was attracted to for as long as she could remember felt the same way about her but why?

"Why...why would you be attracted to me I'm not pretty or smart like the other girls, I'm clumsy, dumb, loud and I'm not as strong as you, I'm fat, my face is chubby and my hair is disgusting I'm one big tomato." Naruto was in shock how she could say such things about herself. But you Naruto your so handsome, strong, funny, and your smarter than me" Kushina said gloomily listing all the reasons why she could never be good enough for him even saying the nickname the bullies gave her. Suddenly Naruto pulled her into an embrace holding her tightly.

"How can you say those things about yourself you're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, you are smart you know stuff i would never have known, you may be clumsy but i find it cute, I'm loud as well incase you've forgotten, you're the strongest kunoichi in our year, we both have chubby faces but yours is adorable and i love your dark red hair it's so mesmerizing and gorgeous and you're pretty funny aswell" Naruto concluded Kushina could not even respond here was the boy she had feelings for hugging her and telling her she was beautiful and complementing her.

Kushina feeling hopeful leaned in to Naruto closing her eyes little did she know Naruto was doing the same. Their lips collided in a passionate kiss as they poured all their emotions into it. After awhile they needed to part for air.

"Wow" was all Kushina could say the kiss was something she never expected but it felt like her heart was ready to burst in joy.

"Yeah wow" while Naruto felt the exact same way.

"Naruto thank you" Kushina said as she snuggled up to him Naruto looked down and embraced her aswell both enjoying the comfortable silence after a couple of minutes they separated and with it an awkward silence was created. Kushina looked down at her feet while Naruto rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"So eh what do you want to do now?" Naruto asked her unsure on what to do next Kushina mumbled something Naruto couldn't quite make out "Mm what was that i couldn't make it out" Naruto asked, Kushina blushed refusing to look into his eyes and said a little bit louder" We could always bathe together" Naruto on his part was turning a shade just like her hair he would love to bathe with her but Naruto didn't want do it if it made her uncomfortable "Are you sure we don't have to do it if you feel uncomfortable with it" Naruto said to her, Kushina responded by placing her small delicate hand in his and gently squeezing his reassuringly "Don't worry I'm ok with it" and with that she lead him into the water. Once they were in Kushina rested her head on Naruto's shoulder and both closed their eyes once again enjoying the comfortable silence between them.

"Naruto?"

"Hmm?"

"I think you're chubby face is adorable aswell."
