Robespierre, why were you such a hypocrite?
Shakespeare, how could you write of love when you left your own pregnant wife?
Mozart, what kind of a name is Amadeus?
The young teenager called Robert hung his head. His grandfather urged him to rise a great man someday, such as those listed above.
But how could he? Robert had no talent. He was not an articulate public speaker, like Robespierre. He was not a great romantic, like Shakespeare. Neither did he posses a sliver of musical equality to the great Mozart.
Robert was just Robert, and nothing was going to change that.
I honestly don't know what the point of that was. Sorry. :) But as a child, Robert was constantly pressured in persuing law, music, or literature of the Renaissance culture. But all he wanted was to be a military leader. I just wondered how it must have been like having people try to change you. *Shrugs* This chapter was a bit of a fail, but AP Histories has been draining my creativity, have a huge exam tommorow. :(
CarminaXBuranaX: I haven't spoken with you since forever. I have a lot of fanfiction catching up to, hopefully soon I'll get on top of that. Can't wait for your next update~
Lovemusic2: Thanks so much! Definitely read Blue Eyed Child of Fortune it is as close to Robert's true self, besides his letters, that one could ever get a glimpse of. Let me know if you like it! :)
