The deathly glimmer and the coldness in Bartleby's eyes seemed to speak to Loki.

"And a short life span."

Loki was already prepared for the incredible pain – peering down, he saw the knife sticking in his side, blood already dripping to the ground.

With his heart aching even more than the injury, he still managed to bring a mischievous smile to his face.

Loki grabbed Bartleby's chin and dragged him into a kiss full of despair.

"I've wanted to do this for eternity." he said before finally returning home.
