After talking with Quinn (via tumblr), Sam grabbed his car keys and headed to the motel parking lot. Sam knew she was in a relationship but this is merely for friendship's sake. Can't he just hangout with his fellow Glee Club member?
Sam drove off and turned on the radio. How ironic it was that the song that was playing was "Lucky". Sam smiled and turned the volume down or else he would be tempted to steal Quinn back. Too many memories hurt him but not painfully, it was like a good kind of hurting.
"I'm just there to hangout. Just to hangout." Sam repeatedly said to himself, remembering that Quinn had a boyfriend.
He honked his horn, peering out. He saw a simple but beautiful home. Sam longed for a home like this. Most importantly, he longed for a HOME.
Sam shifted out of the front seat and to the front door. He knocked on the mahogany carved door and a familiar blonde opened it.
"Sam.." Quinn smiled, upon seeing her friend's face. She hugged him sweetly, right after. "How've you been?" She asked. Ever since school ended, Quinn has never heard of Sam's where-abouts. Maybe he was too busy with his summer job/s, she thought. Not hearing about him, made her miss him so much. But, this kind of miss was something she had for the rest of the New Directions, as well. She had a boyfriend now. She knew her boundaries with other guys.
Sam felt Quinn's warmth as she hugged her. He had never felt this appreciated as before. Sam was in love with her…again. Sam wasn't taking chances anymore and he shook the feeling off. "I'm fine. We're still trying to earn some money." Sam replied with a small smile, scratching the back of his head. Sam saw the sympathy on Quinn's face. He didn't want her to lake that way. He didn't want her to be sad. The main reason why he had to break up with her was to make her happy. He felt awkward whenever she felt sad. He had this longing feeling to be her shoulder to cry on.
Quinn patted Sam's shoulder as soon as she heard him mention about "still trying to earn some money". She felt bad that Sam had to work full time just to earn some cash to pay for the bills. He was only 16 years old, for crying out loud. He's supposed to being enjoying his life as a teenager by partying, making out with girls and all those other stuff. He doesn't deserve all this brouhahaha. "Wanna watch Avatar?" Quinn smiled, attempting to cheer up her dear friend.
"Sure", Sam said, lightening up. "By the way, lor menari."
Sam saw Quinn blush. She took her hand in his and took him to the living room. Sam felt his cheeks grow hot. Quinn popped the DVD in and slumped on what Sam identified as a bean bag. Quinn patted the bean bag next to her, motioning Sam to sit next to her. Sam sank into the bean bag and looked into the television screen. He wasn't paying attention to the movie which he watched like a thousand times but to the fragile little blondie next to him. Her scent was familiar, drawing him closer to her.
Quinn's eyes were glued on the television set as the movie started, obviously oblivious that Sam wasn't focusing on the movie, but focusing on her. "I used to think this movie was so boring, but because of your never-ending rants about it, I learned to appreciate it's content." Quinn smiled, glancing at Sam. She remembered the many times Sam would talk to her about his favorite parts of the movie during library period and all she'd do was roll her eyes. Sam was dorky that way and Quinn didn't want him to change that.
Sam laughed. "I have my ways." He said flashing a cute smile. Quinn smiled and laughed. Sam always loved the way Quinn laughed. It used to be the only thing that could brighten his day. Now, he lost her to that hot, muscular Puckerman. Sam felt the urge to win her back but fought back. He didn't want to ruin a perfectly good heart. "Quinn, you always make me smile. I know you're the one person that can really brighten up my day." He sputtered without thinking. Quinn felt flattered and moved a little bit closer to him. Sam lingered close to her, so close that he could feel he slow, steady breath upon his cheek. Sam leaned in and his lips touched Quinn's. Quinn kissed him back. Sam closed his eyes and his hands made its way to her neck feeling every movement. Something shook him. Sam broke away and stood up.
"Oh, God." Sam panted. "I am so sorry."
Sam opened the door hastily and rushed in his car. He drove home without saying goodbye. Sam hit himself in the head with the steering wheel, small tears forming in his eyes. Sam pushed them back pulling himself back together. His heart feeling lonely and empty inside.
