The year is 2031. Though possibly not for much longer.

Twenty two years have passed since a group of students at the DWMA defeated the first kishin, Asura, and life had returned to normal. That was, until two descendants of the witch, Arachne, collected what remained of the Kishin's soul, and had used it to create a machine.

Using the idea Arachnophobia had many years ago, using a magic tool to create a machine that messed with people's morals, these two witches had a similar idea. However, theirs was to create a machine, using the remnants of Asura's soul, that would infect the souls of weapons, interrupting their soul wavelengths, and, eventually, infect their minds with what was left of Asura's madness, allowing the witches to take control of all the weapons in the world to destroy the DWMA. The machine was known as SoulJAM.

However, there were three flaws in their plan, which could be their undoing. Firstly, they were unable to develop the machine to infect meisters, though the reason to this is unknown, including the witches. This means that they could still wield weapons without being infected. Secondly, Lord Death was able to create a small shield, within the Death Room, that would protect weapons within this shield from the machine.

And thirdly, not all weapons could be affected by the machine. Well, okay, one weapon. But that's better than nothing, right? This weapon is very powerful, with the ability to take on the forms of several different weapons, the ability to match soul wavelengths with any meister they choose, and with a strong enough soul to keep the madness from SoulJAM infecting their soul. This weapon is also just a fifteen year old girl. That weapon is me. Hang on to your souls; this is going to be a bumpy ride!
