Jake had perched himself on top of a flat rock at the coast, assuming it would give him more ideas for his book of tales. The refreshing sea air opened the pores of his brain allowing ideas to pour in. The waves seemed like a soft lullaby as they hit the shore. Jake sat there in the almost silence scribbling away at the old and worn journal when he spotted in the corner of his eye a head bobbing out of the vast ocean. But as soon as he'd looked up to confirm his sighting it had disappeared.
Brushing off - what he thought to be – a hallucination he threw himself back into his stories. Not long after he heard a disturbance in the silence; as if someone was wading through the water. He quickly glanced up. A confused looking girl stood before him, her hazel doe eyes questioning his fumbling. She slicked her wet brown hair back out off her golden-brown face to see him better. The unexplained appearance of the young woman was shocking enough. What was more suprising, and discomforting for Jake, was the woman's nakedness. She bent down folding her legs underneath herself and placing her hands on her knees.
"Err...Madam," Jake began, eyes darting to avoid glancing at anything below the girl's shoulders, "you appear to have lost your clothes." The girl cocked her head to the side, smiling innocently like an angelic child.
"Not in the least." Her voice was crystal cut and sparkling. "I was swimming. Maybe," one of her hands moved from her knee to his, "you should join me."
Jake's words hitched in the back of his throat, as he caught the girl's intense and questioning stare. "I...Err...No..."
"Just for a little while," the hand had shifted from Jake's knee to his cheek. "The water is perfect and refreshing." The words were rolling off her tongue and drawing Jake in, until his face was inches from hers.
The naked girl suddenly leapt back into the water, with a spray of salty splatters before resurfacing. Her tanned skin glistened under the sun. She reached out a wet hand. "Come on."
Having lost all self control Jake leant down, close enough to touch the sea. The girl laced a hand into his hair, drawing him closer to her until their lips almost brushed together.
"You won't regret it," she whispered.
"Jake!" Someone yelled from the pebbled beach. Jake snapped out of the trance, only to find the girl had vanished. "Jake!" It was Will. Jake clambered back up the rock he had been sat on, grabbed his book and hurried over to his brother. He failed to notice the burning, honey eyes that watched him from the water's surface.
