A woman laid on the bed, her curly hair had fallen over her face. Blood splattered over the white bed sheets. Clearly dead. And stood over her a beautiful brunette, holding a gun. Her pale face turned to the door. "Bella?" "Oh, hey Edward"

Chapter 2 – Decaf
Edward
I couldn't shake the image of Bella out of my mind. The way she smiled at me after all these years. Even thought her being Alice's friend who is engaged to Jasper, my friend it was inevitable that we would see each other again. But under the circumstances it wasn't exactly how I imagined it. I walked in a daze into the break room and sunk into the nearest chair, and was unaware of other human presence until the steaming cup of coffee was placed under my nose. Of course, happy go lucky Edward? Bring the press! Emmett's snigger broke my stupor.
"So …Bella, huh?"
"Yes Emmett that's Bella"'
"You realise Alice is going to flip when she finds out you've seen each other" Of course I was well aware of my pixie sisters' enthusiasm.
"I'm meeting up with her tomorrow for coffee" I smiled
"Well Eddie let's hope you're not bringing her here… The coffee tastes like shit" Typical Emmett at least he thought he was funny.
"That's great guys really making me feel better"
••••••••••••••••••••••
"… And then you and Alice were stood in the middle of your mum's completely ruined prized garden and then Alice said… 'At least you still have the roses'" Tears streamed down her cheeks to the corner of her full, red lips. Her face went from porcelain to red, thinking about that one summer when the innocent game of hide and seek trashed my mother's beloved garden. I laughed along with her, and waited for my chuckles to subside before taking a sip of my coffee. Spitting coffee all over Bella wasn't exactly how I pictured this lunch break to go.
"I really have missed you Edward" Bella sighed reaching for my hand across the table.
"So have I" I smiled. I pressed her for more information "What have you been doing since High School?"
"This and that, nothing terribly interesting." I had forgotten how much of a crap liar she is. "I'm more interested to hear how you became a detective! I was under the impression you were training to be a doctor."
I looked away from her questioning gaze. True I had gone to Dartmouth and then was going to train to be a doctor, but then Tanya happened. Alice had said it was never going to end well. You don't get mixed up with Tanya Denali, but at the time I hadn't known that l, and then it was too late. I was in love.
"Shit happens Bella, people change." I remarked a little too angrily, never quite meeting her eyes.
She frowned and I thought I'd seen a small bit of guilt in her eyes.
Bella looked into her coffee cup then and looked back at me" Well Edward this has been nice and it's been really good seeing you again but I really have to leave." She stood up and grabbed her coat from the back if the chair.
"Wait Bella! You should come round this weekend, were all having dinner at Mum and Dad's. Emmett and Jasper and his sister Rosalie are going to be there too, they all really want to meet you."
"I already met Emmett and Jasper, remember. You were handcuffing me! Not easily forgotten." She laughed and took the address I'd written in a napkin.
Bella smiled and bent down to kiss my cheek, "Bye Edward" She whispered in my ear and hurried out the door and into the rain. I was half surprised she didn't stumble on her way out, but all I could think about was the kiss she had placed on my now burning cheek.
So it's not great I know and I haven't been updated in ages. My excuse is I've been working on other stories. One is about Bella and Edward get stuck in the desert called, at the moment, Cabin Killers. The other is about a Zombie apocalypse called Gefangener Null (in theory that should mean prisoner zero) I was going to add a little sneak peek of each story but because I write them on my phone then email them to myself then copy and paste into word, I'm having difficulties sending them to the computer. Bloody typical. But hey, live and learn.
Nope the email finally sent ... okay sneak peak for Gefangener Null (these are little sections of text)
The cloudless blue sky's blurred into the horizon where the hot air twists masking the beige building nestled in the pale yellow sand. The electric fencing push into the cracked dehydrated earth surrounded the long, squat building...
The automatic doors of the bunker opened and a tall blond man in his mid-twenties stepped into the brilliant sunlight. His face was decorated with battle scars. He smiled warmly at the beautiful blonde woman...
"Of course you know that you can't tell anyone about what I'm going to show you" Jasper reminded her. "Half the men here don't know what is behind that door." He motioned to the thick steel door at the end if the long room. It had a key pad to the right, very much like ones Rosalie had seen in films.
"Yes, yes I know the drill. You said this was a probable threat to mankind!"
Still no Cabin Killers. Hope you liked the chapter and please REVEIW! xx
