Oh grate, just what I needed I sighed as I tried to get my black ford focus to work. The engine sputtered but there was no power in it; I had just broken down on a hard shoulder in the middle of the night with no one around to help me out. It's just as bad I didn't have any phone reception, so looks like no ones coming to help me out now err I hate my life.
"Oh come on work please" I begged my car turning the car key, again still no power to move I growled in frustration. I jumped into the back seat of the car and got changed into my PJ's that were dumped on the floor, I locked up the car before I settled down for some rest before I would get up and wait around for traffic to help me out tomorrow. Laying in darkness I lifted the blanket that was on the floor onto me.
"Well better get some sleep then" I said to myself listening to what was around me slowly drifting off into a soundless sleep. First light hit my face, it made me wake up properly I felt like rubbish re-changing into the pair of jeans and black top I was wearing yesterday. I was traveling to Washington D.C to see if I had any family members that were living over there, my mom and dad argued with most of the other family members because most of them were mutants and guess what I'm one too. Yeah kicked out of the house I called a safe haven for so long just because I was different than everyone else. Though the family history I had found out it said that I did have family members living over in Washington but I didn't know if they were mutants like me I hope they am climbing over into the divers seat I looked at the dash bored and saw that it was 9:35 in the morning.
"Wow still no people here yet" I sighed unlocking the car and stepping out into the glorious sunshine letting it warm me up. Waiting around was boring but it was helping me to realize if my other family members were humans maybe that would help them to get to know me better and not be scared of me because of my mutation. We mutants are the most dominant species on the planet that's why were so special. All of us have been given special abilities to help or destroy people. My mind was all over the place, then I heard it the sound of a car engine coming down the road, I could see the car coming down the road at high speeds but it slowed down and stopped in front of me and the car it was a police cruiser. A tall man got out he had dark brown hair and brown eyes that were looking at me worriedly.
"Are you ok" he asked.
"Yeah I'm fine but my car isn't" I replied. "Would you be able to get a mechanic down here to get this fixed?"
"Yeah let me call it in for ya" the police officer walked over to the police cruiser and called into the radio to call for a mechanic to come pick up my car for it to be fixed. "It will be here soon, I'd say about an hour or so" the officer stayed with me while we waited for the pick up to come to make sure that everything would be ok. The law in this town was tight so that no one would get hurt. All ready an hour and half had passed then the sound of another car coming made me happy, the car that was coming round the corner was the pick up truck it stopped in front of me and the police cruiser.
"Lets get you both into town shall we" said the truck driver pushing a button on the side to lift my car onto the back. We both jumped into the truck driving very fast down the motorway also being followed by the police cruiser close behind us. The black cruiser turned and went to the station that was on the end of the street. The truck pulled into the garage; I had spent the entire day waiting for my car to work again, the engine had to be replaced and re-fitted into place and make sure that it worked properly. After all the commitment placed into my car it was finally fixed it worked like it was brand new. I thanked the mechanic for all his hard work that he had put into it to get it working again I paid him for all the trouble it had caused I asked if I could spend the night here he said it was all right because by the time he had finished it was 1:30 in the morning I completely crashed on the sofa with my blanket and pillow fell soundly asleep the mechanic locked up for the night and let me sleep when he turned out the light. A bad dream took over my thoughts it was the day that I had the adamantium on my bones caused the death of two people when I awoke my claws on my left hand were out they were digging into my left leg I gasped out in pain as I pulled them out put the place were the three holes were healed over pretty quickly. They went back in between my knuckles. My backpack was on the floor next to me I quickly got changed into a new pair of clothes right before the mechanic would come in and see the blood on my jeans.
"Good morning sleep well" he asked.
"Yeah gust fine thanks" I got up and walked over to the bathroom.
"Here got you some breakfast before you head out so where are you going if you don't mind me asking" he asked again.
I walked out of the bathroom after using his toilet.
"I'm going to Washington D.C" I replied "do you know the best route to get there quickly" I asked pulling out my map
"Yeah I know the quickest route" he replied getting a big red maker pen and marking down the best route to go.
"Thank you this is really appreciated, your helping me out a lot" I smiled at him. He handed me a brown paper bag with a bacon and egg sandwich in it. He started to eat his I sat down on a crate next to him we both happily ate in silence when we both finished; he gave me my car keys and a bottle of water. I asked him were the nearest shop was so that I could get some more supplies for my journey he pointed to the shop across the road I thanked him as I quickly dashed across the road then entered the shop I picked up some chocolates and some sandwiches with two big bottles of flavored water. I paid for the things and came back over to the garage I saw that my black ford focus was outside on the front looking as beautiful as ever gleaming in the sunshine.
"Thanks for getting it out for me" I said to the mechanic with a big smile on my face I loved my car it was my baby when I first had it I would make sure that it was well looked after.
"Not a problem" he chuckled.
I waved good bye to the mechanic and started to drive the way he marked the best route to get to Washington D.C. I came to the turn route and then heard it the sound that filled my ears.
