This is going to be a weird, random GUNxSWORD fic, written for the simple fact that, well, there aren't enough fanfics for this particular fandom yet. This show should seriously have more fans. Anyway, onto the fic!
Terra, Ghost, Key, and Gail
Key POV
Hi, I'm Key, and I'm about to tell you about an amazing thing that happened to me and my friends, Ghost, Terra and Gail, about two years ago.
The only reason it took me this long to write it down is because there's been a crap-ton of stuff to sort out since I got back (apparently, though inconvenient, time still moves it your world when you're in another world, so yes, you WILL be missed), and then I just kept procrastinating, telling myself that I'll do it later, I'll do it tomorrow, I'll do it next week, but… well, obviously, I never did.
Now, I have to warn you, I don't exactly remember everything that was said or done, but I remember most of it. If I hit a blank spot, I'll ask one of the others. Speaking of them, I should probably tell you more about the four of us, huh?
First off, me. I have shoulder-length white hair, my left eye is grey, and the right one's black. I forget what that condition's called, and as for the white hair… I'm partially albino. It just applies to my hair, though, not the rest of me. I'm a straight C student, and I'm the captain of the Girl's Cross-Country Team (I love to run). But, because of my eyes and hair, I still get teased and called a witch a lot. And I mean a lot.
My parents are divorced, and I live with my dad in Richmond, Virginia. My mom… she's in rehab for several drug problems (mostly heroine and meth, though) and a drinking problem. Before that, she had jail time, because she beat me and dad a lot. Yes, an abusive wife. Rare, but they're out there. And my mom just happens to be one of them. Also, I get the partial albino-ness from her. She has white hair, white skin, red eyes, the whole bit. Dad's normal, though.
I'm 16 now, but back then I was 14; a freshman in high school (back then, I was on the Girl's Track Team). Now, I'm a junior. One year left.
Oh, and, also, back then, my hair was long, and I was really shy, and I usually stumbled over what I said. Now, I guess you could say I'm more outgoing, but back then… yeah. I guess you could call this adventure a turning point of sorts.
Anyway, on to Terra. She has long, long, straightblonde hair (past waist length) and electric blue eyes. Straight A student. The only class she's doing badly in is gym, which she used to skip almost every day; she's still not very athletic, but at least she doesn't cut class. She's pretty big on fashion too, but then again, that shouldn't be too surprising; she is one of the most popular girls in school. Which makes it weird that she likes to hang out with the rest of us 'freaks' but, eh, I'm not complaining.
She's an orphan; both of her parents were killed in a car accident when she was 2, while her neighbors were babysitting her. She was bounced around in the system for awhile, until some rich guys, the Turrmualts, that live nearby adopted her when she was 6. Before, she lived in New York City.
I didn't meet her until two years later, in 4th grade. We both had this evil teacher, Ms. Heinrich. She treated us more like we were animals than kids.
Anyway, I met Terra in the playground. She was getting picked on two some older boys (for being and orphan). I was sitting up in a tree, watching some wasps in a nest go about their daily business (wasps are my favorite animal; I don't care that they're actually bugs, they're still my favorites), when I overheard. So, I jumped out of the tree, right between Terra and the boys. I was facing the boys. Both of them were scared half to death from shock, and ran like hell in the other direction. Me and Terra have been best friends since.
Next up, Ghost. I doubt that that's her real name, but my guess was always that she doesn't like her real name and goes by Ghost instead.
Anyway, she has bright, red-orange hair that's more or less the same length as Terra's, only she keeps hers in a braid. She has dark brownish-hazel eyes, which are usually framed by her glasses. You see, Ghost… she's half blind in both eyes. Without the glasses… she can't see squat. I think it has to do with some kind of birth defect.
Anyway, she, like me, lived in Richmond her whole life. She's quiet, and doesn't talk much usually, but give her enough sugar, or bring up a few certain subjects, and it'll be forever and a day before you get her to shut up.
She actually had a brother, but… he was killed during a home-invasion robbery thing. That's why they moved to our area.
Oh, and one other thing; she's actually a year older than us, so now she's a senior, but she's only 4"5. Something about her growth being stunted by some drug the doctors had Ghost's mom on when she was pregnant with her.
It's actually Terra who met her; I don't know the details, but I do know that they met in the library. They both wanted to check the same book out, and, well, I'm not entirely clear on what happened next (or what the book was), but Terra introduced Ghost to me (and vice-versa), and we all became close.
Then, there's Gail. Ah, Gail. She's- hmmm, how to describe her… Well, for starters, she has black hair that goes about half-way down her back, and dark, forest green eyes. She's almost as pale as my mom (remember, the albino?), and she has a nasty attitude that earned her the nickname of Vampire Freak. Basically, she's a really hard-core kind of girl.
She's had a lot of problems her whole life; she grew up in South St. Louis; in other words, a pretty bad neighborhood. She moved to someplace called Dogtown when she was eight, and ended up going to Mason Elementary. Horrible school (at least, from what I've heard). She doesn't talk about it much.
A week before she was supposed to enter 8th grade, her parents moved her over here, to Richmond. That's when we met her… well, more like I met her. I was framed for pulling the fire alarm (it was actually a 7th grader, but the teachers kind of think I'm a witch, too, so they never believe me), and ended up in detention. She was there for beating up a senior and breaking his nose with a taco (don't ask). We weren't allowed to talk, but we passed notes the entire time.
So, that's us; a ragtag group of girls with bad/unsavory pasts. Though Gail and Terra don't really get along, we're still pretty close friends.
I'm not entirely sure what exactly I'm going to do with this when I'm done writing it. And yes, I'm telling you that, because I want to get everything recorded.
Honestly, some of you might have heard of what happened to me, but didn't believe it. I honestly hardly believe it myself, and I lived it.
Anyway, Ghost, Terra and Gail are counting on me to write this story down, because I remember the most overall. What we'll do with this afterward… we're not entirely sure. Well, I guess you know; you're reading this, and therefore know what we did with it.
Also, before reading this, you might wanna get something to eat, drink, or both. Hunker down, get cozy, cause' this story is per-retty damn long.
Next, if you haven't already, go watch the anime Gun X Sword from beginning to end before continuing. If you don't, you won't have clue what's going on. Trust me; it has a lot to do with what happened to us. In fact, it has everything to do with what happened to us.
But, I'm getting ahead of myself here. Now, let's go back, way back, to about a week before it even started…
Intro, finished! I hope you liked it! Review!
