A/N Damn do I feel like a Major Bitch. I haven't updated in FOREVER! I am so so so so so so sorry! I've been meaning to update for weeks now but I never got around to it and it makes me feel even worse. To ladyMiraculousNight and EmilyTheStrange, I unfortunately did not add your characters in this chapter because I couldn't fit them in and I really want to stick with what you guys wanted to happen on how they were introduced. They will appear soon though. I am going to spend every moment I can trying to get this story back on track and that is going to be way easier now that I am fully situated in my new house. Again super sorry on the super late update.
Previously on Broken:
"Hey when do I get to re-meet the rest of you guys that I used to hang with?" I walked into the kitchen to look for something to eat and settled on eating an apple.
"Well, you can either meet them now or tomorrow. I'm pretty sure the rest of the guys are over at Sam's place, they're usually over there to eat and I mean it is almost dinner time, so are you going over there or no?" Seth looked over at the clock the same time I did. He was right it is almost time to eat dinner. But the question was; did I want to re-meet the rest of the guys? Especially Jared and Paul…
After I nodded my head to Seth, me, him, and Leah piled into the truck and went to go meet, or re-meet, the rest of the guys.
Leah pulled up in front of a house that definitely had a woman living inside of it. There were flower beds in full bloom and the porch was a wrap around with a porch swing and decorations like wind chimes everywhere.
"Who the hell lives here? Some crazy old cat lady," I joked. Again, it was way too feminine. Seth and Leah got out of the car as I got out after them. They laughed and looked back at me.
"You'll find out in a few seconds," Seth said as he exchanged a knowing look with Leah. Leah face was grim. As if she didn't want me to know who lived here. Without knocking Leah and Seth walked into the house. It was peaceful on the outside, but it was like a madhouse on the inside. People were yelling at the T.V. or at each other.
"Guys, we can't just barge in can we?" I asked from the doorway.
"Don't worry. Come on in," Leah pulled me in the house while Seth jumped on another guy and they started wrestling.
"Leah, Seth, I see you're back. Are you hungry? Of course. Why do I even ask anymore," A female voice said as she walked out of the kitchen to set the table. And then she turned around… How dare they. They brought me to her house. Emily's house.
"Emily? What the hell, Leah? Leah, Seth, is this some kind of sick joke? You brought me to this bitch's house. You know what her mother did to my dad. SHE LEFT HIM! SHE LEFT HIM FOR ANOTHER MAN AND HE LOVED HER!" I was pissed. Leah knew it. Seth knew it. Everyone in the room knew it. One of the huge men came over and stood in front of Emily. It looked as if he was protecting her. This guy was huge. I don't mean fat. I mean he was built. He looked as if he could make grown men cry.
"Hey guys, why does it sound as if someone let loose a banshee? I mean I can hear her from the forest," Said another guy, shirtless, just like the other guys except for Seth, as he walked in the front door.
"I think we should start with the introductions or re-introductions." Leah finally snapped out of her shock and then started introducing people.
"Okay, I'll start with the people you used to know. Um, obviously there is Emily, the guy standing in front of her is her fiancé Sam, and over on the couch we have Embry and Colin. In the kitchen are Brady and Jacob. The one who just walked in is Jared and where is Paul?" Leah had finished her introductions as she realized, someone was missing.
"There was a party last night. Last I saw he went home with some blonde from Forks. So he's probably still in bed from a long night of partying." Said Jared. Jared. She knew who he was the minute he stepped through the door and spoke. She could never forget him. He, and everyone else, turned to me.
"So you know me. Who are you gorgeous?" He doesn't remember me. But then again, I've changed so much. So has he.
"No one special," I said the same time Leah said "Reyna of course, she is my cousin after all." All of a sudden I was engulfed in a huge hug from Jared.
"Reyna! I have missed you so much. I was so depressed when I found out that you weren't coming back. Then I got the letter and I understood. How have you been?" He said this all in one breath and looked like he was about to cry.
"Can't. Breathe." I gasped. He let me out of the tight hug but continued to hold me.
"Oops. Sorry." He smiled shyly while rubbing the back of his neck.
"Sooooo… ummm… this is awkward at all… I mean I'm only in the house if my half-sister, whom I hate. I think I'm going to go out on the porch and escape the tension…" I said and walked out of the house without another word. This was too awkward for words. I heard Jared speak up as I was leaving.
"Em, why does she hate you if you're her half-sister?" His question almost stopped me from leaving. But I forced myself to keep walking. Emily can answer that question.
Emily POV
I sighed. I knew she was coming. I knew she still hated me. When Jared asked his question I knew that I had to answer.
"It's a kinda long story." I moved to go sit on the couch. "You see, my mom and her dad used to be married. They were young, just out of high school and madly in love. But after a few years and two kids, me and my twin, Adrian, my mother, I guess you could say she fell out of love. She ended up divorcing him and took me and left Adrian to our dad. I've barely seen Adrian since. During the summers when Reyna used to visit is the only time I really ever saw any of them. Apparently, even after Dad got remarried, he never fully got over my mom. Then his second wife, Reyna's mom, was killed. I was never told how. I knew my dad fell into a depression after that. Reyna may have hated me before that but after her mom died she seemed to hate me a lot more. Sometimes, I wish that she and I could get along. We're the only family we have left."
Just then the door opened and Reyna walked in. You could tell that she had been listening in. She glared at me and looked at Leah.
"I'm going back to the house. Either hand me the keys or you can drive me back. I'm not staying her to wait for Paul. And I really don't want to spend any longer than necessary in this house." I held my hand out for the keys and Leah handed them over reluctantly and gave me a sheepish smile.
"I'll see you later then Reyna. I guess tomorrow I can bring Paul over." I just shrugged and walked out the front door and got in the truck and left. I needed to call Christian. Badly.
