People keep questioning me about many things. But the one thing that people question me about most is 'Why do you keep sending flowers to Canada?' They're not any ordinary flowers, they're Tulips. My home is known for mass producing the best Tulips in the world. Well, now I guess I have to explain it to you.
It all started when Germany invaded Poland in 1939. Germany asked me to join him in his conquest for ruling the world. But at the same time England and France, along with the other allies, wanted me to help them stop Germany from doing so. Germany was like a brother, and England was a good friend that helped me in many wars, so I didn't know what to do. After a couple of months of the two nations fight over me, I stood up and declared that I would be neutral. But I knew that being neutral wouldn't stop Germany from forcing me to join him.
I was scared, what could I do? I had to protect my people from the corruption of war, but Germany would probably invade me in a matter of days…Maybe even minutes. I had to find help, so I went out. I first went to America, but he had to let me down. He said something about helping England back to good health. Stupid, hamburger eating freak. I couldn't ask France, because what could he do? He can't even protect himself. And there was no way I was asking Russia or China. And that's when I met him. The most beautiful country I've ever seen, Canada. He was so quiet and shy, I guess that's why no one ever notices him. He came to me and offered to help with my problem, and all I could do is smile. I embraced the other nation and didn't let go for a long time. I couldn't help it, I was so happy.
After signing some papers and forming some unions, it was official. We were allies. He sent many of his troops, along with some of my own, to the outskirts of the country. He promised to protect me with his life, but that didn't make sense to me. We didn't even really know each other. Why would he give away his life and people for me? I guess I'll have to think about that later, because I had other things on my mind. Like how to thank him once this is all over. What could I do? He's doing so much, and I'm doing to little. Oh well, I guess it will hit me later.
Soon after the war was over, I thanked Canada and showered him in many gifts. He said I didn't have to give him any presents, but I insisted. And now every single year since World War II ended, I have been sending 100,000 tulips to the amazing country of Canada. To express my thanks, gratitude, andlove.
