Finn looked out his window to see Bonnibelle up in her tower. He looked down into his court yard and saw it was vacant. He smiled and ran to the roof. He grabbed one of the pigeons they keep in the cages and took it down to his room. He scribbles a note for her to meet him at their special apple tree and grabs his bow and arrows. He heads downstairs and runs past Jake. As he nears the gates his father catches up with him.
"Where are you going?" He asked Finn curiously. Finn looked over at him and looked down at his bow.
"I was just going to get some turkey, for out tables," Finn said looking up at his dad. It wasn't entirely a lie. He was really going to get some turkey. He'd just "accidentally" run into Bonnibelle.
"Okay, be back by sun down though, I have someone I want you to meet," He said walking away. Finn just raised his eyebrows in question and headed towards the woods. Unlike his father, Jake knew something was up, so he started to follow Finn. He followed him deep into the woods. Watched him shoot three big turkeys.
"I guess he's not up to anything," Jake thought to himself. He was about to head out when he saw who was meeting Finn in the clearing. It was none other than the Montague princess. Bonnibelle. Jake gasped when he saw Finn walked over to her and wrap her in his arms. They smiled at each other and kissed. Jake gasped and couldn't contain his thought anymore.
"Finn!" Bonnibelle looked over at Jake, back at Finn, hit Finn's arms and ran off away from him.
"Bonnibelle, wait!" Finn called after he. He looked over at Jake with daggers in his eyes and headed towards him. Jake was frozen in shock and was knocked out of it as Finn fist came into contact with his arm. "Dude! Why are you following me out here!" Finn asked him.
"I'm trying to save you from that witch! She had you bewitched man!" Jake said wiggling his fingers over Finn's face. Finn smacked them away and got all up in Jake's face.
"If you tell anyone, I will come after you. It doesn't matter where you run, or where you hide, I will find you!" Finn said running after Bonnibelle. As he entered the woods where Bonnibelle had exited, he ran straight. After about five minutes of running he could see her in the distance. His heart began to race and he ran harder. As he caught up to her, he could see the tears in her eyes. He grabbed her shoulders and spun her around to look at him.
"You set it all up!" Bonnibelle said crying harder. Finn kissed her, her lips tasted like her tears. When he pulled apart, she wouldn't meet his eyes.
"I didn't even know he was following me, I hate that he ruined what I wanted to say," Finn grabbed her hands and got down on one knee. She gasped, and blushed. "Would you marry me," Finn asked pulling out the ring. She squealed and hugged him.
"I will, but what will out parents say?" Bonnibelle asked him, sitting on the ground next to him.
"We'll run away together! Come tomorrow, and we will be together forever!" Finn said grabbing her hand. He stood and helped her up. To say goodbye he kissed her hand and started to walk away. "Goodbye, princess," Finn said releasing her hand.
"I'll see you tomorrow, my prince," Bonnibelle turned and walked back to her castle. Finn did the same. As he walked through his gates, he saw Jake and gave him a glare. Jake looked down quickly and walked away. Finn dropped the turkeys down at the kitchen so the cooks could make them before the big feast. He was walking back to his room when he ran into his dad.
"Son! There you are, come with me. There's someone here I would like you to meet," he led Finn through the labyrinth of halls until they came to his fathers study. When his father opened the door, he beckoned Finn inside. Finn walked in to find a girl around his age sitting on one of the sofas, reading.
"Who is this, lovely lady?" Finn asked nervously. His father smiled and sat down next to the girl.
"Here name is Clair. I thought you two would make a lovely couple for tonight's feast," His father said looking over at the girl. She blushed and stood.
"It is an honor to finally meet you," she curtsied to him.
"No, please, the pleasure is all mine," Finn said almost wanting to cry. Finn's father stood and grabbed Claire's hand.
"Why don't you go get ready for tonight my dear," he said leading her into the hall way. She curtsied to him and walked away. He closed the door after her. "I have made arrangements of marriage with her father. If you make a good impression on him tonight, that will be your future queen," Finn father grabbed his shoulders. "Son, I want you to know, that at the end of harvest festival, my crown will be yours. Once you have the crown, all women will want you. You will never really know when one really loves you. You need to get married before you are crowned, or you will never find happiness," Finn father backed out of the room and was gone. Finn stood there, wanting to cry but yet, he was a prince, he needed some dignity left. He looked out the window to the Capulet's castle. He could see his heart, walking in the garden. In a moment of total courage, he ran out of the castle and headed towards the wall. When he got there, he started to climb. He could hear the guards and his dad yelling for him to stop. Finn got to the top and saw Bonnibelle watching him. He jumped over the side and ran to her.
"Finn!" she exclaimed before he pressed his lips to her. She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer.
"I would rather die, then have to spend my life away from you," Finn said, putting his forehead against hers. She looked up to him and her eyes got huge.
"Look out!" she said pushing him out of the way of her uncle, the Earl of Lemongrab's, sword. +
"You stay away from her!" He yelled at him. Finn could see one of his father's guards mounting an arrow. Finn didn't have time to warn the Earl before an arrow was sticking through his chest. The Earl looked down at it and fell to the ground, dead.
"No!" Bubblegum yelled, kneeling down next to him. Finn fell to his knees and pulled her into a hug, trying to comfort her. In a split second they were surrounded by his and her guards. Finn stood and pulled her to him.
"Let her go!" One of Bonnibelle's guards yelled at him. Her father ran over and so did his.
"Tell your son to leave my daughter alone!" Bonnibelle's dad yelled.
"No, you tell your daughter to leave my son alone!" Finn's dad retaliated. Finn looked down at Bonnibelle's scared face.
"Quiet!" he yelled stopping the fight. He turned to his dad, Bonnibelle still pressed to him. "Don't you see? That's where I've been going this whole time! To see her!" Finn said looking down at her. His father gasped and his face turned red. Bonnibelle looked over at her father.
"I've been lying to you too," She told him. "I knew he was a Montague the whole time I was seeing him." Her dad turned purple. He looked like he was about to explode. Their parents looked to each other and both of their expressions softened.
"Maybe we should end this old feud," Finn's dad said, holding out his hand. Bonnibelle's father looked at it and back at his daughter.
"I would love to, but I've already promised her hand in marriage to the prince," Bonnibelle's dad said looking over at her. Finn and her looked at each other and back at their parents. Finn's guards grabbed him and slung him over their shoulders. He started to fight and when Bonnibelle reached for him, her dad grabbed her arm.
"Finn!" she yelled, reaching for his hand.
"Bonnibelle!" He yelled grabbing for her hand. They were only a few inches from each others hands when Finn's guards started to walk away. "No!" He yelled, but one of his guards hit him with a tranquilizer dart. He passed out, and the last thing he saw was her crying face, being walked to her room by her father.
Finn woke up in the middle of nowhere. He sat up and looked around his surroundings. He realized where he was. He was in the forbidden land. He must have been banished by the prince, for trying to take Bonnibelle. Finn jumped up and started to run back towards home. He hoped he could get there in time.
"Please, help me," Bonnibelle said looking up at the sorceress. She looked down at Bonnibelle in pity.
"There is only one thing to do, you must marry the prince," She said, Bonnibelle looked up at her in horror and fell to her knees, crying. The sorceress looked down at her in pity, when her crystal ball started to flash different colors. She walked over to it and began to make a potion. Bonnibelle watched at different colors danced around the room. When the sorceress finished, the colors dissipated. "Drink this, and you will fall into a deep slumber. Everyone will think you are dead, but I will fetch Finn and he will prove his love with a kiss," The sorceress started to walk towards her when a silhouette of blue and a silhouette of pink shaped like her and Finn floated through the air. They were dancing and laughing. She wanted that. She reached for the cup and drank it. She felt dizzy and fainted to the floor.
The prince sat at the front of the wedding, waiting for his bride. Her father walked down the aisle, smiling. When he got to the prince, the prince sneered.
"She's late," He said looking over at him.
"I'm sure she'll be here any minute, Prince Petrikov," Her father said nervously. The doors slammed open and from a secret hiding place, Jake stood watching as a women carried in Bonnibelle.
"The princess is dead," she said looking down at Bonnibelle. Tears filled her eyes and King Capulet ran over to his daughter.
"What happened?" He asked, looking at his poor daughters face. Jake stood by the exit and gasped at her pale face. She looked like she was about to cry, but she would never be sad again.
"She died of a broken heart," The women said, setting her down in the Capulet's arms. Jake gasped and raced out the door.
