Sephiroth watched as Mrs Lockhart walked down the pavement, planning to meet with some of her friends. He smirked as he turned his attention to the window next to him, the one that led to Anne's bedroom. The Lockhart family had all conveniently left for the day so the house was empty until at least midday. Sephiroth had approximately two and a half hours to collect what he needed. He carefully slid Anne's window open, Anne had naïvely left it open, and slid into her bedroom. He carried different plastic bags to contain her belongings.
Sephiroth glided over to the lightly coloured desk which had Anne's laptop, a couple of spare fountain pens, books and other miscellaneous items. He took the books and pens, placing them in one plastic bag before finding Anne's laptop case and putting away her laptop in that. He rummaged through her drawers, deciding what items would be necessary and which won't. A silver eyebrow raised in amusement as he discovered several coins in one drawer, then several sweet wrappers in another. He next discovered a drawer with small trinkets such as necklace chains and bangles. He tipped it into one plastic bag and opened the next drawer, finding cheap practical jokes that looked unused. When he opened the last one, he chuckled as different coloured bouncy balls rolled around from the movement. After tipping the drawer into the same plastic bag, he wrapped the top up and placed it to the side.
Sephiroth then went to her chest of drawers, opening the first two drawers. He averted his gaze when he saw that they contained her bras and knickers. Opening the plastic bag wide, he closed his eyes and tipped both of them into the container before placing them back and wrapping the plastic bag up, setting it down with the first. Sephiroth figured it would be too creepy for Anne to actually buy underwear and clothes her size so it was best to take what she already had. He opened the third drawer and rummaged through the socks, tights and vests inside. After selecting a few of each and putting them into another plastic bag, he began to rummage through the fourth drawer, selecting t-shirts and jeans. The fifth drawer contained more t-shirts and skirts. The sixth drawer contained three pairs of pyjamas along with a nightie. Sephiroth took all of the contents from the sixth drawer before investigating the last drawer. The last drawer contained miscellaneous items such as stickers, old notebooks, pencils and broken headphones. Sephiroth only salvaged the old notebooks with the intention of reading through them. On top of the chest of drawers, he immediately took her navy blue notebook along with the black tooth-marked fountain pen. Anne was definitely going to want that, along with her light blue diary.
Sephiroth went to the wardrobe next, opening it to reveal dresses, coats, scarves, bandanas and shoes. He selected the articles of clothing that he thought suited Anne best before going out of her bedroom to the bathroom. He plucked her toothbrush out of the cup that contained four toothbrushes and placed that in the plastic bag he was holding.
Going back to her room, Sephiroth plucked the snow white teddy bear off her bed and carefully set it next to the plastic bags. Finally opening the last plastic bag, Sephiroth walked over to her bookcase. He selected several books until the bag was full. Anne liked a range of different books, from dark romances like Fallen by Lauren Kate to children's books like Lizzie Zipmouth by Jacqueline Wilson. Sephiroth had heard a lot about Jacqueline Wilson but hadn't really read any of her books. He stared at Lizzie Zipmouth for a while before placing it into the plastic bag. He'll read it on the trip to Nibelheim.
Confirming that he had all the things Anne would need to settle into their home, he placed all of the plastic bags into a black rubbish bag, slung it over his shoulder and jumped out of the window, into the tree that grew outside near Anne's window. Silently closing the window, he leapt down and sprinted off towards the mansion, his super speed making him visible to the human eye.
Four hours later…
Sephiroth lifted his head when he heard a motorbike nearing. His eyes gleamed when he spotted Anne and the brunet arrive in front of the Lockharts' house. He frowned to himself when he spotted her carrying five shopping bags. That would add a bit of weight to their journey, but that did not matter. After three hours of careful packing, Sephiroth would manage making more room for Anne's shopping.
His eyes gleamed again when the brunet left and Anne turned her back on him. Now was his chance! Sephiroth darted out of the shadows, encircling an arm around her waist and pressing the chloroform stained handkerchief to her nose and mouth. All Anne did was turn her head and he bent down to her ear.
"Ssh…" he whispered "Everything will be alright…"
He felt her relax and fall limp in his arms. Careful to contain her shopping bags, he picked her up and held her in a bridal style position. As he placed the shopping bags on Anne's lap, Anne's head fell back in her sleep. Sephiroth's eyes softened at how peaceful she looked when she was unconscious. He gently nudged her head onto his shoulder and rested his head on hers.
"You'll be OK," he whispered to her and rocked her gently.
He smiled before gripped her tighter and sped off towards the mansion. Anne hardly moved at all when his super speed kicked in and turned them into a blur. Sephiroth leapt over the back gate before shifting his hands to get the keys to unlock the back door. It was proved to be a tricky task, but he managed nonetheless. Once they were inside, Sephiroth leaned against the back door, relishing in holding this young girl. He leaned his head on hers again, sighing softly.
Sliding down softly into a seating position, he buried his nose into her hair, breathing in her scent. Lemon and limes this time…with the hint of peppermint. She was so warm as well…and it wasn't because it was the middle of summer. Sephiroth smirked before standing up and walking upstairs to his bedroom. As he lay her carefully down on his bed then checked the shopping bags she had.
He set four of them on his desk and opened the purple suitcase that was on the chair. He looked in the first shopping bag. A smile spread his lips when he saw a pair of cat ears and a cat tail nestled inside. He knew Anne loved cats. He took them out and placed them on top of Anne's pile of folded clothing.
Sephiroth discarded the plastic bag then turned to the second one, looking inside. He averted his eyes and closed the bag immediately. Inside was a set of purple laced lingerie. That was…unexpected and quite new. Sephiroth knew that Anne's underwear were just bras, vests, plain knickers and sports bras. She never had any mature lingerie sets like the one in this bag. Sephiroth made sure to keep the lingerie in the bag and placed that in the suitcase.
The third bag was heavy with books. Sephiroth picked one out and came to the conclusion that there was a sale at one of the bookshops by the large yellow sticker on the cover. Looking through the bag, he saw that it mainly consisted Manga novels. He decided to put these in another suitcase and placed the third bag back on the desk.
The fourth bag had three bandanas, two bracelets, five hairbands and a party dress. Sephiroth pulled a bandana and a hairband, placed them next to Anne and placed the shopping bag in the purple suitcase.
The fifth shopping bag had several CDs inside. Sephiroth smiled as he placed the bag carefully in her suitcase and closed it. He picked up the shirt and jeans then turned to Anne. He sighed as he bowed his head. She was not going to be happy when she woke up, but it was necessary…
Sephiroth breathed in before setting the clothes down, grabbing Anne's dress and pulling it off her. He averted his gaze when the green material slid off her and breathed out. He quickly picked her legs up to slide them into the jeans. After securing them on her body, he pulled the crimson short sleeved shirt over her head. Finally finishing dressing her when he pulled it over her belly, Sephiroth turned away, pinching the bridge of his nose and sighed. He carefully folded the summer dress in his hands as he tried his best to erase the memories of Anne's half-naked form.
Two hours later…
Sephiroth supported Anne's head as he tipped the contents of the glass into her mouth. Anne, who was slowly waking up, drank automatically like a baby drinking milk. Sephiroth couldn't help but smile softly as he lifted the glass and she moaned.
"Ti…fa?"
And she fell back into the world of slumber due to the drugs that Sephiroth had just given her. Sephiroth placed the glass down and picked up the blonde wig. After carefully pulling it over her head, Sephiroth tied the bandana over her head to secure it. He then looped his arm around her legs and around her shoulders, picking her up gently. Her head fell on his shoulder and Sephiroth leaned his head against hers with a smile.
He then walked downstairs, out of the front door, down the path and out of the front gate where the taxi was waiting. The taxi driver extinguished his cigarette and looked over to them.
"So that's ya sister, right?" he said.
Sephiroth nodded.
"She's jetlagged," he said in a Russian accent "She has just come over from Russia so she's sleeping."
"Ah, jetlag…"
The taxi driver shook his head.
"I hate it when that happens…"
Sephiroth nodded knowingly before setting Anne in the backseat, strapping her in safely. He then sat in the front as the taxi started.
"Will she be waking up anytime soon?"
Sephiroth smiled to himself and shook his head.
"She's…a heavy sleeper."
"Ah…"
Sephiroth glanced back to Anne and smiled wider.
One hour later…
"Thank you for choosing to travel with us!" the ticket collector nodded to Sephiroth with a smile.
Sephiroth nodded his head as he closed the door to the room that he had booked on the train for the journey. As he locked it, he sighed in relief. He managed to get her away from the town. Turning to the sleeping girl on one of the beds, he smiled. He picked up one of the old notebooks from his suitcase and sat on the other bed to read it.
Six hours later…
The minute hand landed on the twelve, signalling that it was eleven o'clock. Anne began to move and Sephiroth moved his hand to the back of her head to support it. The full moon peeked through the windows as the forest scenery rushed past them. Sephiroth picked up a glass of water and positioned it in front of Anne's lips. Anne parted them unconsciously and began to drink. Sephiroth smiled as she drank all the water and moaned when he pulled the glass away.
"Cl…ugh…"
She dropped back off to sleep and Sephiroth smiled wider, brushing the stray strand of ebony hair back into the wig.
"Sleep well, my princess," he whispered before rising.
He smiled wider as Anne snuggled herself deeper into the blankets. Sephiroth walked over to his bed, stripping himself from his shirt. His hand moved to take his trousers off, but he thought better of it and slid into the bed, turning so he could see Anne. His heart began to beat loudly as he saw Anne's perfectly sculpted face. Anne was with him now and she'll be with him forever. It felt so unreal but Sephiroth knew it was real just by seeing Anne's sleeping face. Yawning, Sephiroth's eyelids began to droop and he dropped off to sleep.
