I watch them. My eyes on the target...targets...or just one. My vision's range is based on the nature of the target...targets...
My eyes fix in with that of Serenthia's, even if she doesn't know it. Even if she never locks those eyes in with mine. I see much within them...hope...disappointment...hope again, as if her emotions are caught up in an endless cycle. Kind of like my own, though at the least, I have suppressed disappointment, yet cannot suppress hope. It is far better to be without both right now.
Almost as if it were better for Serenthia to be without her eyes...or for Uldyssian to actually use his...
I mean no will to the elder son of Diomedes. He treats Serry well, though as a sister, nothing more. If he wants more, he does not show it. If he showed it, I doubt he would take it. Wants, needs...unlike Serenthia, he is hard to read sometimes, almost as much as Mendeln. Does he not see the way Serenthia acts around him? Or does he ignore it? She's in love with him, and has no idea...
Ignorance is bliss. But not for the one who knows who is ignorant.

I just hope she allows Serenthia to be something more.
