Thunder! Thunder! Beat the mighty feet
The massive limbs that pound the primeval earth
Pursuer and pursued in race so fleet
Primordial since the tyrant lizard's birth.
Mighty monsters spawned in days of yore
Whose giant frames an alien earth did tread
Fantastic neck frills flout the bloody maw
Defy the cunning gleaming eyes so red!
This day the prey escapes, hunter's defeat
Heavy Triceratops of massive girth!
Tomorrow yet he may be so much meat
Tyrannosaur will never brook a dearth.
And so the rivals fight forever day to day
The eternal meeting of predator and prey
