Hi, guys. :) Sorry 'bout this. I had to get back on track with a lot of stuff. I hope that this will be good to read.

Arthur was panting by the time he reached the palace garden. Eyes searching the landscape, he struggled with the emotions coursing through him.

She had to be here!

Suddenly, he spotted a flash of crimson through the green.

"Wait!" he called.

He hopped over a couple of bushes to grab her shoulder, spin her around and…find some other girl.

"I'm so very sorry! Wrong person." He saw another flicker of auburn not too far away.

Please be the right one, He trampled over some flowerbeds in his haste, Please be the right one, He flew past a napping gardener, Please be the right one!

He reached the girl just in time to grab her wrist.

….

She was just about to walk away when something clamped onto her looked around to find her beloved, looking quite disheveled, she might add. His outer robe was sliding off his shoulder completely, his lovely blond hair had a leaf or two in it and was very windswept, and his eyes were piercing her with their icy blue colour. She held back a giggle – and a sob as she curtsied respectively.

"Your Majesty. How may I assist you?"

Arthur felt ridiculous now. Sure, it felt life-changing that he had stopped her but now that he had stopped her then what…? He didn't know what he even wanted to say but he knew he wanted her to stay no matter what it took. She looked extremely lovely. Her eye color had been sharpened to a bright emerald by the watery look in them, which with a pang, he realized were leftover tears. He kneeled. Gwen didn't know what to think when he kneeled before her. After the treatment in the castle, she hadn't expected much, maybe a offhanded remark about being sorry because it was not like a King to be rude.

Instead he said,"Lady Gwen, I would find it the utmost honor if you accompany me for dinner tonight."

This was the complete opposite of what she had mentally prepared herself for. She had never learned of the complex emotions of humans! She felt so happy, yet so…so…relieved that she started crying.

….

Arthur didn't hear an answer so he sneaked a look at her. He had managed to do it again. She was crying because of him. If he had ever been so ashamed in all his life, it was now. Making a beautiful lady cry was not very gentlemanly at all, or so Merlin warned him. He immediately stood and softly placed his hand on her shoulder for comfort.

"I offer my deepest apologies if I have offended thee in any way."

He decided to use more frothy speech to soothe her. She lifted her head to give him a dazzling smile.

"Nothing would give me greater pleasure than having dinner with you, milord."

He felt his heart lift out his chest as she slowly caressed his cheek and smiled again.

Oh, wow…

She felt practically giddy; she was walking on air and the only thing that kept her on the ground was her darling's hand in hers.

I hope you've enjoyed. You can make up your own ending for it. I enjoyed being unbelievably sappy with this. I will probably never look at it because of that…except when I'm feeling incredibly sugary. Well, it's been fun. I love you all. :)
