Liar Lair
Summary: Chill fic, since I've already done this from the angle of Sonny outing Will.
Pairing: WillxChad
Will sighed and sipped his coffee, feeling the black liquid clash with the alcohol in his system, making him feel worse. Was this how he was destined to live out his existence? He could just be honest and admit what he was, but no. He was a coward. His grandmother Marlena sat across from him, sipping her iced tea and eying him bemusedly.
"Tell me Will," she said with her knowing smile. "What do you think this will get you? I'm pretty sure I know what you're keeping from me."
"Say it then," Will said irratably.
"I no Will," Marlena whispered. "I'm not saying it. I want you to say it. I also want you to tell me why you're running around being EJ Dimera's lapdog."
Will huffed and folded his arms defensively.
"Grandma I love you, but God," Will sighed. "Just go away..."
He said this quite miserably and covered his eyes with his hand. Marlena smirked.
"Fine Will," she said softly. "Fine. I'll go away. You can make me go away. It's yourself you can never run away from."
Will sobbed and kept his hands over his eyes. God! Why couldn't he just admit it? Was lying to yourself considered a sin? Was lying to God about your sexuality a sin? Surely God didn't want him to live his life like this. If he couldn't be himself, then he could drown himself in alcohol. Chad approached his table and took a seat.
"Will," Chad spoke. "What's the matter?"
"Huh?" Will asked, wiping his eyes. "Nothing."
"Liar," Chad accused. "You have some major issues. You can't fool yourself, or me."
Will shook his head and bit his bottom lip.
"Don't try to analyze me Chad DiMera," Will said scowling.
"Why?" Chad asked with a smirk. "You obviously aren't man enough to admit the truth. I know what's going on between you and my brother. He's blackmailing you. I know he is."
"Chad please," Will pleaded.
Chad stood up and grabbed Will's cheek, pulling him to his feet rather forcefully.
"Don't what Will?" Chad asked, his eyes burning fiercely. "Don't make you admit this?"
Then he crushed his lips against Will's. Will grabbed Chad's shirt, intending to shove him back, but instead he pulled him closer. Chad ran his hands up and down Will's back, as their tongues met.
"Hm hm," someone coughed.
Will pulled away from Chad blushing. Marlena was standing and looking at them with a grin.
"About time," she smirked.
"Ugh," Will stammered. "This isn't..."
"Don't even try that worn out one-liner," Marlena said with a laugh. "I think it is what it looks like."
Chad smirked and grabbed his best friend's hand.
"Will stop," he whispered. "Stop doing this to yourself. Just say it."
Will drew in a breath and nodded.
"I'm gay," he said.
Even as he said it he felt better, like a weight being lifted off his chest. He smiled at Chad, and for the first time in months it was a real smile, a Will smile. Chad kissed Will's cheek cutely and smirked again.
"What about you?" Will wondered. "Are you..."
"Bi, I think," Chad replied. "Now come on. Let's go eat something."
Will smiled back at Marlena as Chad pulled him forward toward the exit of the Brady Pub. Marlena smiled knowingly and gave him a small wink.
