Here's the next episode of 'New Adventures of Garfield the Cat'! Anyway, enjoy!
Episode 13
Nothing But The Tooth
It all started out about eight in the morning as we see Fluttershy walking over to Garfield's house.
A little bit away, inside Garfield's house, Garfield's cuckoo clock started going off as in Garfield's bed, Garfield yawned as he started to get up and yawned. Garfield then pulled a little pocketwatch out of his pajama pocket as he looked at it... and gasped. "Oh my! It's sixteen o'clock!"
Now, in Garfield terms, even he didn't know. But as everybody knows, sixteen o'clock means four PM, when it was clearly eight o'clock in the morning on the Garfield cuckoo clock.
But nevertheless, Garfield started to get out of bed... unaware of the bag of marbles next to his bed side and a few of the marbles spilling on the floor. Nevertheless, Garfield stepped on the marbles and slipped on them, causing the marbles to slide around as Garfield uttered, "Oh boy."
Fluttershy then opened the door and walked in. "Good morning, Garf-IEEELLD!"
Fluttershy screamed as she slipped on the marbles and started sliding around. Garfield smiled as he waved to Fluttershy, who grabbed the leg of Garfield's bed and slid the other way.
"Hi, Fluttershy, you're just in time!" Garfield said, looking at his pocketwatch.
And then, Fluttershy ran over Garfield as they both slid into the wall and crashed into a pile of lasagna pans, Garfield rubbing his nose.
Fluttershy groaned as she lifted a lasagna pan cover off of her. "Are you all right, Garfield?"
"Yes, I am." Garfield said, rubbing his nose. "It's time, see?"
Garfield pulled out his pocketwatch and showed it to Fluttershy. Fluttershy blinked as she noticed there were no hands on the watch. "Uh, Garfield, your watch has no hands."
"That's what makes it so easy to tell time." Garfield said, putting his watch away. Garfield then sat upright... then uttered in pain as he jumped. "Ouch!"
"What is it, Garfield?" Fluttershy asked as Garfield looked down and picked up a white tooth.
Garfield looked at it. "It looks like a... marble that looks very much like a tooth."
Fluttershy examined it as she laughed. "Actually, it's a tooth that looks very much like a tooth. But... where did it come from?"
"I don't know, Fluttershy. I just bumped into the wall and... here it was." Garfield said, pointing to the wall, and then motioning to the tooth in his hand. Garfield paused. "Uh no... uh..." Garfield pointed to his seat. "HERE it was."
Garfield paused to think as he said, "Actually, it's very good at being found, Fluttershy. And I'll prove it."
Garfield then closed both palms of his hands as he closed his eyes and shook his palms around. Garfield then looked at both of his fists as he looked at his left fist. "I choose... this one!"
Garfield opened his left hand and noticed there was nothing on there. Garfield paused as he looked at his empty hand. "Oh man... uh, you choose, Fluttershy."
Fluttershy looked over at both fists before tapping Garfield's right fist. "This one?"
Garfield paused as he opened his right hand to reveal the tooth. "How did you know?"
"Simple, Garfield. You always look in the last place first." Fluttershy explained as she got up and helped Garfield up. "Anyway, I think maybe we better ask Mister Herriman about it. You might have knocked out your eye tooth."
"I think it's my nose tooth, because that's what hit the wall." Garfield paused.
A little later, at Mister Herriman's house, Herriman was looking at the tooth with a magnifying glass as he said, "Well, it's not an eye tooth OR a nose tooth."
"Well that's a relief." Garfield sighed in relief as Fluttershy nodded.
Herriman paused to think as he looked over at Garfield... and snapped his fingers. "AH HA! Master Garfield, have you eaten any lasagna or sweets since you've found this?"
Garfield paused to think as he said, "Well, no."
"No doubt about it!" Herriman nodded as he held up the tooth. "Master Garfield, THIS is your sweet tooth!"
Garfield and Fluttershy gasped as Herriman explained. "And you won't be able to eat any lasagna or sweets until it's back!"
"No lasagna?" Garfield gasped in horror as he and Fluttershy looked at each other. "Whatever shall we do?"
"Well..." Herriman smiled. "There is only one thing TO do!"
A moment later, we see Herriman and Fluttershy working on Garfield. "String."
"String." Fluttershy handed Herriman the string as Herriman set to work.
"Tooth." Herriman asked.
"Tooth." Fluttershy handed the tooth over to Herriman as Herriman added the tooth.
"Done." Herriman smiled as he looked at Garfield. "Well, what do you think?"
Fluttershy looked over at Garfield... who actually had his mouth tied up with string, with the tooth on the loose end. Garfield couldn't even speak through it.
"Uh, Mister Herriman... how will he chew?" Fluttershy asked. "Scratch that, how will he even talk through it?"
Herriman paused as he examined Garfield's face. Herriman shook his head as he said, "Uh, never mind. I have a better idea."
A little later, Herriman was smirking as he was showing Garfield and Fluttershy his garden. "Sweet potatoes... sweet peas... and no better place to plant a sweet tooth and watch it grow."
Herriman patted the ground where he buried the sweet tooth and put his foot down... when the ground collapsed on the three and they fell down a hole, causing the three to be dazed as they looked around.
"Unless, of course, I dug too deep and that tooth FELL into one of the Penguins' tunnels..." Herriman was now growing angry. "Which I told them about a MILLION TIMES NOT TO DIG UNDER MY..."
Herriman then stopped shortly as he saw three angry penguins in Herriman's face, Rico holding a cleaver, Kowalski just mad and Skipper frowning as he said, "You were saying?"
"Oh, we're sorry, Skipper." Garfield said, getting up as Private walked up, looking concerned for the others. "But we're looking for my sweet tooth."
"Oh, you're looking for a tooth? Was that yours?" Kowalski said. "That thing came dropping down on Private's head out of nowhere."
"Good thing I was wearing my lucky helmet today." Private said, tapping on his helmet.
Skipper nodded as he got up. "Come on then, men. It's down in Kowalski's workshop."
The penguins then started to slide as Garfield, Fluttershy and Herriman followed the penguins.
Inside Kowalski's workshop, the tooth was seen inside a jar that Kowalski put in. All of a sudden, we hear voices.
"The coast is clear, come on." A nasally voice whispered.
Then, three shadows, one shaped like a raccoon, one shaped like a turtle and one shaped like a hippo appeared as one of them threw a sack.
"All right, grab what you can, and leave behind the calling cards and bag of peanuts." Another voice whispered.
"Right." the last voice, being more of a tough guy voice, said.
The three started going to work as they grabbed an assorted number of things, including a pickaxe, some rope and some work items.
The raccoon shadow walked over as he picked up a few wrenches, screwdrivers and screws. "A few of these, a couple of those..."
As the raccoon shadow pulled a hammer top out and replaced it with a calling card and peanuts... his eyes spotted the tooth in the jar as he gasped.
"Guys, come over and look!" The raccoon shadow whispered as the turtle shadow and hippo shadow came up to see the tooth in the jar.
"This is perfect!" The turtle shadow said.
"Yeah, and what better way than to swipe this." the raccoon shadow said, swiping the jar. "All right, how do you open this?"
"I got it!" The turtle shadow said.
"No, I do!" the hippo shadow said as the three started to pull on the jar.
All of a sudden, the three heard a voice coming in.
"Bunch of bothersome busybodies, if you ask me." Skipper's voice was heard.
"Come on, let's get out of here!" The raccoon shadow said, opening the jar, grabbing the tooth, and leaving the calling card and bag of peanuts behind as the hippo grabbed the sack and started to run off with it, all three unaware that the sack was springing a leak.
"What next?" Rico uttered in his own language.
"It's just a tooth, people!" Kowalski muttered as the penguins, Garfield, Fluttershy and Herriman entered.
"Anyway, we keep our teeth by our bedside!" Skipper smiled. "Easier to keep track of."
"But we don't have teeth." Private pointed out as Kowalski walked over to his worktable and looked down to see calling cards and bags of peanuts.
Kowalski screamed. "OH NO! I'VE BEEN ROBBED!"
"So has our base!" Skipper frowned as he looked around. "It's that meddlesome Cooper Gang again, isn't it?"
"Cooper Gang?" Fluttershy asked.
"The Cooper Gang, a band of thieves, consisting of three people... a turtle named Bentley, the brains of the outfit..." Kowalski explained as he showed pictures. "Murray, the hippo. He's the brawns. And the leader of this is a raccoon named Sly Cooper. Together, these three make the perfect band of thieves. They rob you blind, and leave behind calling cards... and bags of peanuts in exchange."
"Oh my, and I believe they have YOUR tooth too!" Private said, pointing to the jar where the tooth once was.
"N-no tooth?" Garfield gasped. "NO FOOD! NO LASAGNA!"
"Well... I don't think they're very neat thieves." Fluttershy turned to see the trail of things left behind by the Cooper Gang. "Maybe we should follow them."
Skipper gasped as he smiled. "You're right, little pony! After them!"
Outside the upper world, we see Sly Cooper and Bentley talking over the tooth.
"I don't know, Sly, are you certain that this tooth may work?" Bentley asked.
"It has too! I mean, it should be the right size!" Sly said. "How you holding up, Murray?"
"Fine!" Murray said, unaware that his bag was leaking things and peanuts. "Though I swear, this bag keeps getting lighter."
Sly and Bentley kept talking as they noticed they were in the shade. Sly looked up and gasped. "Hold up, fellas. See what I see?"
Bentley and Murray looked up as they smiled. Bentley smiled as he said, "Ah, the perfect sun dial... usually good for telling the time."
"And the perfect thing to steal!" Sly said as he put the tooth down on a little stump. "Come on! Murray, put the bag down for a moment, we'll need your strength!"
"Got it!" Murray nodded as he, Bentley and Sly started to push the sundial down.
"I say... what's all this, then?" Alfred's voice sounded.
The three looked up to see Alfred, who had landed on the sundial as Sly quickly said, "Ah, well, we're just taking this..."
"Oh, are you into demolition work?" Alfred asked.
"Uh, yeah!" Sly said. "This sun dial... doesn't work right on one side. So we're taking this to our workshop!"
"Yeah! We'll fix it up there, and we'll bring it back here!" Bentley said. "Keep pushing, Murray..."
"That's fascinating..." Alfred smiled. "I had an aunt once who built a nest in the top of an elevator, but her life was full of ups and downs."
Alfred then quickly flew off as the Cooper Gang pushed the sun dial down and Murray quickly caught it... barely.
Alfred landed on the side of the sun dial as he noticed the tooth on the stump. "Well now, this looks like a pretty marble... JUST what I've been looking for! Ever since the incident with Tom Servo's head, I've been looking for a new doorbell ringer."
Alfred then turned to the three, who were still trying to lift the sundial as best as they could. "Well, sorry I have to bodge off, but do join me for tea whenever you're in the neighborhood. Thank you."
Sly smiled as he looked up at the departing Alfred. "Okay, then, bye..."
Sly's eyes widened as he saw what was under Alfred's foot... he saw the tooth flying away.
"Forget the sundial guys! He's got our tooth! Come on!" Sly said, running off.
"Oy!" Bentley sighed as he started to follow Sly. "Why don't you keep these things in your pocket!"
Bentley then grabbed the sack and started to run off as Murray dropped the sundial and started to follow.
A little later, the penguins, Garfield, Fluttershy and Herriman were still following the trail as Rico pointed.
Skipper paused as he turned to Kowalski. "Analysis, Kowalski!"
"We're gaining on them!" Kowalski said as he started to yell, "Hey, you COOPERS! BRING BACK MY STUFF!"
"And my tooth!" Garfield called as they followed the trail.
Pretty soon, Garfield, Fluttershy, Herriman and the penguins followed the trail, which ended up to the sack, near Alfred's house.
Skipper frowned as he looked around. "Hmmm... they must be around here somewhere."
Herriman opened the bag to look around as he looked up to Garfield. "Master Garfield, get up there and warn Master Alfred that there are thieves around! Miss Fluttershy, you look for the tooth!"
Herriman then stuffed Fluttershy in the sack as Garfield started to climb up the tree to Alfred's house.
As Garfield climbed the tree, he said, "I do hope friend Alfred is home."
From up in the tree where Alfred's house was placed, Sly was trying his best to pull the tooth off the string, with Bentley and Murray hanging on to him. Sly frowned as he said, "Guys, stop that! You're going to make the bell..."
The bell then rang as Alfred answered the door and smiled. "Ah, hello, come for tea already?"
"Uh, yes, though we can't stay for too long..." Sly said. "Nice... uh... doorbell."
Sly kept tugging on the string as Bentley and Murray smiled in worry.
Alfred smiled as he said, "AH yes, the new doorbell sure is niced installed with the whatever it is."
As Alfred led Sly, Murray and Bentley in the house, Garfield came up and started to ring the bell... Garfield blinked as he looked at the doorbell/tooth. "This looks... familiar. On one hand, didn't Alfred do this with Tom Servo's head?"
Alfred answered the door as he smiled. "Why, Master Garfield, and just in time for tea. Did you come alone?"
"Uh, no." Garfield said.
"Of course you didn't!" Alfred smiled as he looked down. "Hello, Mister Herriman. Oh, and is that Master Skipper and his troupe there too?"
Herriman and the penguins looked up as they waved.
"Uh, excuse me, Alfred, but..." Garfield started as Alfred turned to Garfield. "Where did you get this?"
"Oh I just found it lying about someplace..." Alfred said.
Unaware of the two, Sly carefully snuck around, grabbed the tooth, and replaced it with a calling card and bag of peanuts.
"Yeah... that sounds like my tooth all right..." Garfield said as he grabbed the tooth... only to have his eyes widened to see the tooth wasn't there, but the calling card and peanuts were. "Oh boy..."
Garfield quickly ran inside to see the Cooper Gang jump out the window.
"Oh no you don't!" Garfield said climbing over the window and jumping down.
From down below, Sly hit the penguins, with Bentley and Murray hitting Herriman as he was trying to pull Fluttershy out. If that wasn't enough, Garfield landed on Herriman.
Fluttershy peeked out from the sack as she said, "Oh dear..."
Fluttershy then ducked inside as the Cooper Gang quickly grabbed hold of the sack.
"Come on, come on! Let's get out of here before something else happens!" Sly said as the three started to run off with the sack.
Garfield then pulled Herriman up to his feet as Garfield said, "Come on, Mister Herriman! They've got my tooth... oh and Fluttershy too."
"We're right behind you..." Skipper said, dazed as the four penguins walked around dizzily, Private with his helmet being stuck on him.
"Right..." Private said as Garfield and Herriman pushed the penguins.
The Cooper Gang then arrived at a hole in the ground as they threw the sack down, ignoring the voice in the sack, saying "HELP! HELP!"
The Cooper Gang then jumped down the hole. A few feet away, Garfield and Herriman were holding the penguins by the flippers as Private was looking around. "Could somebody please turn on the lights?"
All of a sudden, the penguins fell down a hole as they screamed. Garfield and Herriman stopped short as they ran over and looked down to see the penguins recovering from their fall.
The penguins looked over to see the Cooper Gang were running off, sack in hand.
Skipper frowned as he got up. "Come on men!"
The penguins started to slide off as Garfield turned to Herriman. "Be brave, Mister Herriman. It's for Fluttershy."
Herriman gulped as he said, "After you."
With that, Garfield grabbed Herriman's hand and they both jumped.
Inside a cave full of stolen treasure, Sly, Murray and Bentley smiled at another mission success... until they heard the voice in the sack, "Have I ever mentioned how much I love peanuts?"
"What the?" All three said as they untied the sack to see Fluttershy in there.
"Oy... not what we wanted! Nobody wanted a hostage!" Bentley frowned.
"Never mind that, we got more important matters!" Sly said. "Murray, hide her somewhere!"
Murray nodded as he opened some knight's armor and grabbed Fluttershy.
"Put me down!" Fluttershy screamed as Murray stuffed her inside the knight's armor.
"Sorry! It's nothing personal!" Murray yelled.
"Come on, come on!" Sly said as he and the three stopped by a little working table.
Bentley nodded as he got to work. "All right... tooth!"
"Tooth." Sly said, handing the tooth over to Bentley.
"Hammer!" Bentley called.
"Hammer." Murray said, handing the hammer over to Bentley to take a whack at it.
"Screwdriver." Bentley ordered.
"Screwdriver." Sly said, handing the screwdriver over to Bentley, who screwed the tooth into something.
"And... perfect!" Bentley nodded.
The three smiled as they looked over to see... fake teeth chattering. Seems that's what they wanted with the tooth... because one of the fake teeth were missing. However, as soon as the teeth stopped chattering, the tooth that was put in, fell out.
"Aw man... I thought for sure we had it!" Sly groaned.
"I guess it just wasn't the right size." Murray sighed.
Back in the tunnels, Garfield, Herriman and the penguins stopped at a fork in the road as they listened around. They then heard Fluttershy's voice, "Garfield, help!"
Rico pointed over to the left tunnel as Skipper said, "This way!"
The gang then started to run to the left (though, I guess it didn't matter which one they took, they both led the same direction).
Inside the treasure room, Sly tried to stuff paper in the knight as Fluttershy screamed, "Help!"
"I'm coming, Fluttershy!" Garfield called as the Cooper Gang quickly hid.
"Come on, come on!" Sly whispered as the three hid.
Pretty soon, the penguins, Garfield and Herriman entered in the treasure room as the penguins gasped.
"Hmmm... they've been VERY busy!" Kowalski said, looking at all the treasure in the room.
"Fluttershy! Where are you?" Garfield called out.
"I'm in here!" Fluttershy called from the knight's armor.
Herriman paused as he said, "How do we get her out?"
"Oh... just a little know how..." Skipper smirked as Rico spat out a crowbar, swung and hit at the knight's legs, causing the armor to open up, and Fluttershy to slip out.
Garfield went over to Fluttershy and picked her up. "Are you all right, Fluttershy?"
"I'm fine, Garfield... but I don't think we'll find your tooth in all this!" Fluttershy said, pointing to the room of treasure.
Garfield sighed as he pulled out his pocketwatch (the same one from earlier this episode) and sighed. "Looks like it's time to give up."
All of a sudden, Sly peeked his head out and gasped as he looked. "Guys, look!"
Bentley peeked out and gasped. "The... that watch! The ones with no hands Th-there's only two of them left in existance!"
Murray gasped as all three of the Cooper Gang ran out to the others.
"Wait a minute, wait a minute!" All three of them said at the same time. "That watch, we need that watch! We'll give you anything, anything at all!"
"Uh... sorry?" Garfield blinked.
The Cooper Gang then pulled out a bunch of peanuts and even threw in some treasure.
"Ah, I think I know what's going on." Kowalski smirked. "They want your watch, the one with no hands, and they'll pay handsomely, anything at all."
"What he said." Sly nodded.
Garfield paused as he looked at the stuff... then smiled as he said, "I'll trade the watch for my tooth."
Sly, Murray and Bentley paused as the three of them gathered around.
Sly, Murray and Bentley came back, all three of them having hands behind their backs as Sly said, "All right... but if you can guess where it is, you can keep it, but if not, we get your watch AND your tooth! You have three guesses."
"I think what Sly is saying is, if you guess where the tooth is, you keep it. If not, they get the watch." Kowalski explained.
Garfield paused as he smiled. "It's a deal. I can do this!"
Garfield sighed. "I hope..."
"Just remember what I said earlier... always look in the last place first." Fluttershy said.
"Hmmm..." Garfield paused to think. "Well, the last place I would look would be... behind somebody's back, because that would be cheating."
Sly, Murray and Bentley looked at each other in worry as Garfield said, "So... I choose behind the raccoon's back."
The three gasped as Sly groaned. "You got it right..."
With that, Sly handed over the tooth, safe and sound. Garfield smiled as he handed Sly the watch, Sly smiling a bit.
"Thanks... we may not have both, but at least we have something valuable." Sly smiled.
"That's all right. I had another watch with no hands anyway." Garfield said, pulling out another watch with no hands. "What are the odds that I had two?"
Bentley paused as he frowned in suspicion. "What WERE the odds...?"
A little later, towards sunset, we see Garfield and Ash talking with each other as Garfield explained his day to Ash. "And that was the story of how I got my sweet tooth back. Granted, we still haven't figured out how to put it back in yet, and I haven't eaten all day."
Ash looked down to the tooth and laughed. "Why you silly old cat, that's not your sweet tooth!"
"It's not?" Garfield said in confusion.
"No!" Ash laughed as he scratched Garfield behind the ears. "And even if you do have teeth... which you don't... you wouldn't need sweet teeth."
"No?" Garfield blinked.
"Nope!" Ash laughed. "You're just naturally sweet, with some bitterness, all over!"
"Well..." Garfield chuckled a bit. "That's true. Though... what was this tooth?"
"This is one of my baby teeth that I hid with my marbles." Ash said. "I meant to pick it up today, but you were gone by then."
Ash paused as he started to think. "Say, Garfield, why don't you put that tooth under your pillow tonight? Maybe the tooth fairy will trade you for it?"
Garfield paused as he smiled at the idea.
The next morning, Garfield was waking up from a deep sleep as he felt something under his pillow not a tooth. "Oh my!"
Garfield uncovered the pillow and gasped as he saw a pan of lasagna in its place. "That's much better than peanuts!"
Garfield then opened up the lasagna pan and started to eat as he paused to think. "I wonder if the tooth fairy is related to the Cooper Gang?"
And thus, after his pan of lasagna, Garfield got up to start the day.
And that's the next episode of 'New Adventures of Garfield the Cat'! How was it? In the next episode, entitled "Gone With The Wind", after an incident with the wind outside, Fluttershy vows never to step foot outside again. When all failed attempts to get Fluttershy out of the house fail, will Fluttershy end up staying indoors forever, or will an important situation call Fluttershy out?
