MinJee's P.O.V
I was in one out of many rooms in my aunt's house. Or should I call it, her "mansion." She worked as a surgeon at the local hospital along with her husband, my uncle. The house was located in a quiet area with other houses, playgrounds, schools and little shops here and there.
I sat in front of the open window with view of the whole neighbourhood. The sun had just about finished disappearing over the horizon. I leaned against the foot of the bed nearby and closed my eyes. I thought about what happened today … A flashback ran through my mind; to the sticky-ness of the milkshake, the butterflies in my stomach, my sob story and the fireworks that went off in my head as we were in each other's arms.
"Let me show you everything you deserve …" His words gave me happiness.
I smiled to myself as I thought of Sungyeol. Not every guy would take the time out of his day to comfort a stranger like he did.
I was about to drift off to sleep when I was surprised by sudden vibrates and ringing from my phone.
The words "6 SMS messages" blared across the screen.
I unlocked my phone and checked my inbox. All 6 messages were from "Yeolllieeee33333". I laughed to myself. He must've saved that as his number earlier. I read the messages in order, from earliest to latest.
"Yeolllieeee33333: Hey beautiful! I'm still sorry for ruining your shirt … Hopefully you make sure no one spills his milkshake all over the one I gave you! I just wanted to let you know that I had an amazing day today. Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't regret a single thing that had happened."
"Yeolllieeee33333: Oh and sorry if I come off as a bit creepy to you …"
"Yeolllieeee33333: And sorry I don't abbreviate my texts …"
"Yeolllieeee33333: Sorry, I'm probably sending an overload of texts right now."
"Yeolllieeee33333: Sorry for saying sorry too much."
"Yeolllieeee33333:Omg … Okay sorry, this is my last message! For now at least. I never got to say what I wanted to say earlier. And i'm sorry for just running off all of the sudden like that. Look, as creepy as this sounds, I want to get to know you. This sounds cheesy but, I'm not letting this go. I barely know you, but I don't want give up until you're smiling again. I don't want leave you alone. I don't want you to have to go through one of those awful nights again."
By the time I was finished reading all the messages I was speechless. I was smiling and giggling to myself. I was pretty sure that my cheeks were bright red too. I felt those fireworks go off in my head again. This Lee Sungyeol was really someone special.
I leaned against the foot of the bed again as I thought about what to say and how to reply. I was surprised once more by a vibrate and ringing from my phone. Another text from Sungyeol…
"Yeolllieeee33333: I feel like I might be irritating you a bit, so I'm asking you one thing. And i'm sorry if this is too much to ask, but tell me right now. Tell me if you want me leave you alone."
Sungyeol's P.O.V.
I sighed as I put my phone down on my desk. I probably looked desperate by sending her all those text messages, but what could I've done? I couldn't resist.
I sat on the edge of my bed and laid my head on one of my pillows. I closed my eyes and I saw her.
I wanted to see her again. I wanted to hold her in my arms again. I wanted to make her laugh and see her smile again.
I heard a sudden ring and the screen of my phone lit up. I jumped up and ran back over to my desk."MinJee3 SMS Message"
"MinJee3: You're crazy to ever think that I would want you to leave me alone."
I stood in the middle of my room and stared at the message she'd sent me, smiling like an idiot. My phone rang again.
"MinJee3: You forgot your bag btw! And you still have my bracelets …"
I laughed to myself and texted her back … It took me a while. I re-read what I'd typed, just to make sure I hadn't made any spelling errors.
"That just gives us a reason to see each other again :)"
MinJee's P.O.V.
"Dad said to get ready for bed!" Minhyuk said as she walked into the room towards the closet.
I smiled at my phone. Sungyeol sure had a sense of humour. We'd been texting each other non-stop for over half an hour.
"… MinJee. MinJee?"
I started texting him a reply.
"Hey! MINJEE?"
I pressed the send button and looked up at Minhyuk. He was standing in the middle of the room, already in his pyjamas.
"Hmm?"
"Didn't you hear me? Dad said to get ready for bed."
My phone vibrated and I instantly turned my attention towards Sungyeol.
"HELLO?" Daesung yelled.
I was in the middle of texting when Daesung had grabbed my phone from my hands.
"What?… HEY!" I looked at Daesung who sat on the bed, probably scrolling through my inbox.
"Oohhhh, who's Y-e-o-l-l-l-i-e-e-e-e less than 3… 3, 3, 3… 3?" He said smiling at the screen.
I laughed and told her about my day at the mall.
"AAAWWWWWWWWWW! Is he good to you? Does he have a sister?"
"Minhyuk oppa…" I said, getting a bit annoyed.
"AAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW! He is! I bet he is! Tell me if he is!"
"Okay fine! He is. He's amazingly, adorably, astonishingly cute. He has the most perfect smile and remarkable eyes. Talking to him is the easiest thi-"
"OH. MY. GOSH. MINNJEEEE! ARE YOU IN LOVE?" Minhyuk said. He was obviously getting way more excited than I was. That fag, but oh what the heck. No matter what he does, he's still so awesome.
"ChunAe! You need to chill out. And no, of course not… Maybe. WAIT NO! I just met him today!"
Minhyuk giggled and started dancing and singing around the room. "YOUUU AND SUNGYEOOOLLL COULD BE LIKE SONNY AND CHER, HONEY AND BEARS!"
He was only fooling around, but Minhyuk is a very, very talented drummer. He started taking up drumming classes at the age of 6 and stopped around the age of 12. He specialized in contemporary and hip hop. He taught me a few steps and moves during our times of pure boredom.
I laughed at him and heading towards the bathroom, shaking my head.
By the time I was finished getting ready, Minhyuk was sprawled across his bed at her side of the room. I gently took my phone from his hands. I unlocked it to find that Sungyeol had sent 13 more messages.
