A+ A- |
A/N: Hello there! This is one of the co-authors, Teddy R. Lupin. I just wanted to say something in response to what reviewer roflshvuakomail had to say about the fic. I hope I don't come off as rude, but…OI!
One thing…no, you don't have to worry, it's not an AU story, James will end up with Lily in the end. But at this point, it's completely logical that Remus and Lily may have been together, just think about it. I haven't been able to convince everyone on that, but…a fair group of people, which…heh. Which is partially why this fic is taking place.
Two, I play Remus in this RP/story (I suppose that much was obvious) and I completely ship Remus/Lily. So your review caught me off guard. I edit the pieces together as well. But that didn't need to be mentioned.
-coughs because of the tension-
Nymphadora Andromeda Lupin and Lily M. Evans say hello, while I'm stealing the spotlight here.
Enjoy ~Teddy R. Lupin
Another A/N: Oh, gosh, Rem. Don't worry, roflshvuakomail, he's like that to everyone. He just really, really, REALLY likes Rem/Lily.
Anyway, Hello all :D I really hope you're liking this fic and please review! Xoxox ~Lily M. Evans

"Padfoot." James glared sideways at his best mate, and really that was all the explanation one needed.
Sirius looked offended briefly, but then shrugged, as if he were used to it. "Yeah...I was bored."
Grinning, James shoved him and then turned back to Remus. "So my dear Moony... from whom was that letter you so hastily shoved out of sight upon our arrival? Do you have a secret girlfriend?" The tone of his voice when he said it was clear that that was the least likely scenario to actually happen.
Sirius sniggered and tried to snatch the letter from his friend.
"Oi!" exclaimed Remus, swatting Sirius's hand away and grasping the letter, folding it carefully before stuffing it in his pocket. "Let it alone!" His face flushed, his ears turning a magenta pink-ish colour.
Maybe it was the truth in James's words, or maybe it was the fact that they'd noticed he'd hidden something, but Remus was momentarily scared of his best friends.
"No," he mumbled, "'Course it wasn't…you know better 'n that, Prongs…"
Just as James was about to pounce on his friend and wrestle him for the letter, a small, overweight boy with pale blue, watery eyes and blonde hair ran up to the three of them, panting, seemingly materialising before their eyes.
Getting his breath back after minutes of gasping for air, the fourth Marauder, Peter Pettigrew, also known as Wormtail, smiled at his friends. "Hi guys," he squeaked, still a little breathless.
"Wormy!" James turns to their other friend, grinning. "What're you doing here?"
Peter mumbled out some story about being bored at home and his Mum being out and his sister whining at him and Sirius this time nodded in sympathy.
"That sucks mate," the shaggy haired Marauder stated quietly.
"And," Peter paused to suck in another couple of lungfuls of air. "I thought I'd come see Moony...I didn't expect to see you guys here too!" He was grinning in delight as if this was the best thing he could have asked for.
Remus had looked slightly nervous as James advanced on him, but with the interruption of the fourth and final Marauder, his face instantly covered itself with a wide smile.
"Pete!" he exclaimed, happy to see the other boy. "I thought your mum would never let you out of her sight, I'm so glad you're here!" He laughed in a nervous fashion. "All of you guys decided to camp out at my place, aye?"
"Where better?" Sirius grinned, James beamed and Peter laughed quietly. "We're in the middle of bloody no-where... we can get up to all sorts of mischief!" he continued.
James sobered, as though he remembered something. "Speaking of...guys... I've got some news..." He looked uncharacteristically nervous and raked a hand through his messy hair.
Remus rolled his eyes at the thought. "As long as my mum doesn't see what you're up to, I don't see why it matters," he said with a sigh, instantly frowning as he caught the look on James's face. "Mate?" he asked. "What is it?"
"I..." He pulled something small that glinted out of the pocket of his robes. "I think...I think Dumbledore sent me your Head Boy badge by mistake..." He held out his hand to Remus, and sure enough, glimmering in his palm was a small shiny gold badge with the letters "HB" emblazoned on it.
Remus looked at it incredulously, his eyes flicking to his pocket that held the letter for a moment. Then he started to laugh. Oh…Lily would be less than pleased to hear that, all right…
"No, mate…" he said quietly, "I think that's yours. Dumbledore wouldn't make a mistake that important." He sighed and looked up at James, shrugging. "If you don't want it, by all means, y'know…"
He grimaced to himself…he certainly didn't want to be the one to tell his girlfriend that her enemy was Head Boy.
A slow smirk had started to spread across the messy-haired Marauder's face. "Evans is most likely Head Girl, right?" His question was innocent, tone deceptively casual.
Sirius snorted, seeing where his friend was going with his supposedly innocent question. "Oh Merlin...here we go again."
Remus sighed quietly and looked at them as he nodded, trying to remain as casual as he'd seemed before. "Yes, Prongs," he said evenly, "She is."
"So that means..." He couldn't stop the smirk blooming into an outright grin and he let out a whoop. "She has to work with me this year! YES!" he hollered, dancing on the spot.
Sirius sighed and looked like he wanted to kick him. "Merlin mate...she's only a bloody bird..."
James turned on his friend. "She is not!" he cried in outrage.
Peter looked confused, as usual. "What's going on guys?"
As James's smirk grew, Remus's smile dimmed ever so slightly. He had to appear happy for his friend; and of course he was, but even so, it was cause for him to worry...
"I'm sure Lily will be thrilled to know she will be working with such a diligent partner," drawled the teenage werewolf, hoping that his sarcasm was duly noted, and that his friend wouldn't take offense.

Sick of her sister's constant arguing and screaming, Lily Evans announced to her parents that she was leaving and she'd be back by that night, before grabbing a bag along with her wand
After experiencing the not-so-comfortable sensation that was known as Apparition, she knocked on the door of the Lupin's house.
To be continued…

Again, Teddy here. Thanks to those of you that read this chapter and are looking forward to the next one, it means a lot to us. :) Remember to leave a review to tell us how we did.
Also, I guess I should be the one apologising for the shortness of the chapters, since I'm the one that puts them together, but I thought this was a great place to end it, since the next chapter will be quite a bit longer.
