My Baby Girl
Chibi-Usagi crawled around her grandparents front yard, every now and then, standing then falling. The adults watched her with delight and laughed at the adorable girl.
“Ikuko, dear, why don’t you and Kenji move up here to Akita? Last time we saw her she could not even hold up her own head.” The older woman said to her daughter. She woman had cherry blonde hair, and indigo eyes.
“Mother, why don’t you move to Tokyo?” Kenji said, and adjusted his glasses.
“No we could not do that!” The older man, with dark blue hair, told his son-in-law. “We are too old.”
“Old? Who are you calling old?” Emiko Mutsu questioned her husband. “Abe?” She waited for his answer.
“Now mom...” Ikuko stood and hugged her mother. She cut herself short as her eyes wondered the yard. “Usagi?” Her eyes widened when she saw no sign of her only child.
“The pool!” The two males ran around the house towards the back yard.

Kenji kneeled at the pool searching the uncovered part of the pool. He moved slowly around the pool, when he made it to the covered part of the pool, he noticed a bump under the blue covering. “Air bubble.” He said to himself repeatedly as she pulled the heavy wet covering up. “Air bubb-Usagi!”

“Usagi!”
Emiko ran as fast as her legs could carry her to the back yard. She heard her daughter behind her screaming Usagi’s name hysterically.
When she got to the back, she saw her husband and her son-in-law inside of the pool. She watched in horror as they got out, and in Kanji’s arms was the limp body of her granddaughter Usagi.
