A/N: This is slight AU. It's a mix of the animated version with Tim Burton's so if it doesn't make a lot of sense that's why. :D Enjoy.

Sticking her little nose out, she sniffed the air and slowly walked towards the wonderful smell her nose had caught on to. Crawling forward on her belly, she glanced over her shoulder and saw that her mistress was still fast asleep, leaning against the oddly shaped tree with Mally snoozing on top of her head. Snickering softly, she made her way to the small bag her mistress always brought with her and was delighted to see it open.

A loud 'crack' filled the air when she stepped on a branch with one of her paws but thankfully all the two did was shift slightly. Sticking her head in the half open bag, she gasped when she finally came across what she was looking for. Biting down on the wrapper, she dragged it out of the bag and sniffed it again. This was it!

"Stop it, Dinah!" shouted the voice of Mally who had woken at the sound of the wrapper crinkling. Jumping of Alice's head, she stuck out her sword and got the cat to back away from the half opened wrapper. "Do not touch this! Alice has said cats are not to consume chocolate!"

Wrinkling her nose, the small kitten hissed at the mouse and then seemed to pout. The small candy bar she had been attempting to eat was only half opened and with Mally standing in front of it, there was simply no way to get to it. "Meow!"

The mouse shook her head. "I don't care if you want it. Do you really want our poor Alice to find her kitten dead as a doornail on Christmas Eve?

"Meow…"

Mally nodded. "As I thought. Now let me put that away and get you some of those treats Alice made you. It is your Christmas present after all."

"Meow?"

"No, I will not be your Christmas present you stupid cat! I am not to be eaten and if you even attempt to take a bite out of me, I will get you!" Mally warned, swiping her sword at the kitten who was whimpering as she crawled away from the angry mouse.

If she could prevent Cheshire from eating her after all these years then she could certainly stop that runt of a kitten!
