I just saw “Swing Kids” for the first time to day, off of recommendation from my friend and also because of the fact I am obsessed with Christian Bale. Yippee! Anyway, I hope this is good. Takes turns switching from Peter’s and Thomas’s PoV. Swing Heil!

Warnings: Violence and Swearing! (GASP! There is no slash! That’s a first…)

Disclaimer: I just saw the movie for the first time. If I did own it I “probably” would have seen it before. Don’t sue!

Quote of the Day: “I’ve given up my ghosts. Barely breathe your name, offer up myself. Pray you’ll do the same. For the love that might escape, well that’s my biggest fear. It grinds me to a pulp. Grind me in the gears.” –Edwin McCain, “Grind me in the Gears”

A/N: This takes place about the end of the movie.

A-kay! Roll da ficcie!

Chapter one: Getting used to insanity

Thomas PoV

I breathed heavily as I rushed inside the club, in my nazi uniform. Swing music beat wildly in my ears. And there were all the swing kids, dancing like nuts. But that would be calling the kettle black, wouldn’t it? I would have to say I’m quite insane myself thank you very much. So insane, that I murdered my friend. Well, at least that’s what I’ve been told. The other nazis around me began to beat the swinger’s and chase them out of the building, only to be sent away in a truck. I guess betrayal was a good choice.

I punched my way through the crowd, looking for any swing kids trying to escape. And I found one. My best friend, or at least formally, stood in front of me. His mouth already had some blood trickling from it. His eyes held hurt and betrayal in them. I wanted to help him, but I had no control of my body, which was so full of rage. I attacked.

Peter PoV

The club came down on my face. Usually I wouldn’t have minded and been able to run from a “fucking nazi,” but no. This was Thomas. My best friend and one of the best Swing Dancers and supporters I know. The one who joined Nazis only so I wouldn’t be in it alone. The one who ended up betraying the other swing kids and me, and he was the one who was responsible for Arvid’s death. Thomas was their, club in hand and trying to shatter my face. I punched back and ran.

Peter punched me and DAMN it hurt! I wiped the blood from my cheek and noticed he was headed for the door. I chased after him, catching up outside. Before he could re-act I slammed him to a car and slammed my fist into his jaw. The stupid bastard, went against Germany with all that Swing Music. At least I realized what bad I was doing before I ended up like he did. I slammed my fist down again. But he ended up flipping me over the car. Where the hell does he get these moves? He also was next to me, panting deeply just like I was.

“Get out of here before I change my mind” I gasped out. I looked over to him to see his face beaten in. And then I realized it. He just sat there because of me. Because of my insane ways, and because I went and betrayed him. Can you imagine your best friend not only leaving your side, but also trying to beat you into a bloody pulp? He had once told me how evil nazis were and right now I decided that it was true. But my decision was too late and the men began to drag him away. And he didn’t struggle that much at all. And that was my doing. And then some man decided to question him. And all poor Peter could do was glare at him. And then a sound of rythym escaped his lips.

“It don’t mean a thing if you ain’t got that swing!” I began to sing in the old man’s face. And I grinned. I was being sent away, just like my father was. And I wouldn’t have to see any of this again. Being forced into a truck, I decided to risk standing up.

“Hey Thomas!” I shouted. He was already paying attention to me anyway. And a lost look was placed into his two eyes.

“Swing Heil!” I shouted as the truck began to pull away.

“Swing Heil!” He shouted back at the last minute. We got farther apart, but I saw something I would never expect. Two other men had heard Thomas say that. And they ammediatly jumped him.

Can you say crap? Yes you can! I should stop doing spur of the moment stuff. :P REVIEW
