This movie needs more recognition! I loved it as a kid even though I had only seen it once and I couldn't for the life of me remember what the name was until I found it on YouTube and watched it again…and again…and again. So now here is my tribute to that wonderful movie.

"Papa!" called a dear little girl, her deep brown hair brushed back with a tiny tiara on her head and a veil around her face.

"My little Qamra," the Arabic prince, Tack of Bagdad, reached down and grabbed the dashing little girl.

"Daddy! Guess what Mommy and I did today!" the beautiful little Arabic princess said.

"What?" Tack asked swirling his baby girl around as his beautiful wife joined them in the palace rooms.

"We rode horsies! And we saw a whole herd of wild horses running over the dunes!" Qamara cried laughing and hugging him. Tack smiled hugging his daughter back, his long thin arms wrapping all the way around her. Yum Yum smiled and joined them in their hug.

"My beautiful family," Yum Yum smiled.

"My beautiful wife, and daughter," Tack said hugging them closer.

"We have to go see Grandfather today," Yum Yum reminded her husband gently and he released them smiling softly.

"Yay! Grandfather!" Qamra shouted running about the vast room filled with the sweet scent of flowers that Yum Yum so loved. Nanny hobbled in, and scooped up the girl. This woman was younger than Yum Yum's nanny and a bit spryer than the Yum Yum's (though that had seemed impossible at the time). Yum Yum's beloved Nanny had passed on years ago, before Qamra had been born.

"Come along, princess," the nanny muttered at the fussy child. The feisty little princess grumbled all the way to her bedroom to get changed for her audience with the king. "Just like her mother," Nanny muttered.

"Didn't your nanny say the same thing about you?" Tack asked. Yum Yum nodded laughter on her lips.

"She always did. But then she didn't approve of you at first either. Look how wrong she was there," the princess said.

"I think she was spot on about you though," Tack said smiling. Yum Yum laughed lightly and nuzzled into him.

"Come on. We have to get ready to see Father," she said smiling.

"King Nod, your daily audience with Prince Tack, Princess Yum Yum, and Princess Qamara," a servant said bowing as the royalty entered the king's throne room.

"Grandfather!" Qamara cried rushing into the palace chambers. The old king smiled at his granddaughter and hugged her with his frail arms.

"My darling Qamara," he said, his old voice cracking. Yum Yum and Tack smiled and stood behind while the old king laughed and played with his beloved granddaughter. Their time together like this as a family was short as King Nod had so many things he had to keep in order especially now that Zig Zag was gone.

"What sort of things did you and your mother do today, Qamara?" King Nod asked.

"We rode across the sands of the South Desert on the horsies! We stopped at an oasis for lunch and watched a family of wild horsies racing past us," Qamara exclaimed throwing her little hands about as she told her tale. King Nod nodded his head in approval smiling at the child, in her joy and youthful innocence.

"And what did you and your father do today?" he asked watching the little girl's face light up.

"Papa told me of how him and Mommy met," she said smiling. "It's my favorite story! They was so brave. I bet Mommy was really pretty. And Daddy was very handsome!" Yum Yum and Tack glanced at each other smiling at the girl's innocence.

"They were very brave," King Nod said, smiling at the blushing parents.

"But what would happen if the golden balls go away again?" Qamara asked showing intelligence beyond her years.

King Nod just lowered his head. "I am unsure my dear but I certainly hope you don't have to find out," he said, pushing a stray lock of hair behind her tan ear.

"I hope you never find out…"

But as I am writing this story of course we will find out. This is merely the prologue so it isn't supposed to be long the next chapter will be a bit longer and will start to get into the actual plot of the story.
