I watched the movie last night and thought it was the cutest movie ever! Simone and Lucas was the best couple in my opinion. The nerd gets the girl. And at the end I know they show pictures of them all coupley, but they never truly clarify the relationship, so I wrote this! :) There needs to be more fics on this movie!
He was there, again, hands tight around two tree branches. Lucas wanted to confront her; He wasn't comfortable not knowing that after such a great night that it could've mean absolutely nothing.
He lifted his hand ever so slightly to reach the pebble he had stowed away in jacket pocket before carefully climbing up the tree. His right hand gripped the branch tighter than ever before and he squeezed his legs together to keep a sense of balance.
Lucas threw the rock and immediately ducked, the rock ricocheting back to its original destination. Suddenly, the lights in her room flickered on. He felt his heart began to leap out of his throat as her window was being lifted up.
"What are you- Lucas?" Simone stared at the boy in wonderment. She blushed immediately when she noticed she was only wearing a tank top and shorts. "It's 9:00, what are you doing here so late?"
Lucas said nothing and began to edge his way closer to the window on the sturdy branch. "I want to know what's going on between us, Simone. After last night, are we...?" The boy trailed off quietly, afraid of sudden rejection. "I know it may seem stupid to you, but it's important to me," he muttered quickly.
Simone said nothing and continued staring at the boy.
"If I could kiss you right now," Lucas continued, deep breaths causing his chest to rise and falter, "I'd be the happiest guy alive."
"I love you, Simone."
Simone smiled; She moved a strand of hair away from her face and leaned partially outside of the window until she was face to face with Lucas. "I know,"
Lucas blinked several times, processing her sudden actions. Leaning closer, Simone closed her eyes and parted her lips slightly.
"Oh my gosh-"
"Lucas, just kiss me," Simone ushered with a smile. Her eyes were still closed.
"R-Right!" With that, Lucas tilted his head and smashed his lips against hers.
Simone pulled back after at least ten seconds. "I think that should be enough information," she said with a grin.
"We are dating, right?" Lucas asked. His heart was pounding through his ears as he was trying to figure out if this was a dream or it was the real thing.
"Yes!" Simone kissed Lucas this time, quickly, and she pulled herself all the way back until she was in her room again. "I'll see you tomorrow, Lucas."
Simone waved and shut the window, drawing her pink curtains to a close. The light was turned off and Lucas was by himself.
He sat back, leaning against the tree in astonishment.
He was dating Simone.
Simone was dating him.
They were dating each other.
And he couldn't be happier.
