Return to the hidden Leaf Village

In the Land of Fire; in the very center lay the Hidden Leaf Village, the strongest of all the five ninja villages. Under the current leadership of Tsunade Senju; the Fifth Hokage, everything was proceeded along normally in the village with normal Genin, Chunin, Jonin and Anbu Black Ops on their missions, patrol and gate guards.

Two Gate Guards were watching over the Southern Gate. Their names were Kotetsu Hagane and Izumo Kamizuki; two average Chunin level Shinobi that seemed to always be on Gate Duty, but they didn't mind it that much as very few people came in through the South Gate. However today would be their lucky day.

Footsteps approached the gate getting both Chunin's attention and they looked up just in time to see two people pass through the gates and into the village. "Hey is that who I think it is" Kotetsu asked with a grin coming to his face.

Izumo nodded "Yep, no doubt about it" he also had a wide grin on his face.

Once of the men that passed through was a tall man with long spiky white hair wearing a green battle robe with a red vest over it, had a headband with the kanji for 'oil' in the center along with Geta sandals. The second one was a tall man with shoulder length spiky blond hair that stuck out everywhere with a leaf headband on it with the Leaf symbol being obscured slightly by his hair. He was wearing black pants with black boots along with a very dark red, long sleeved turtleneck with a black center going down the front with it being zipped up to his neck and to end it he had a black trench coat strapped to his shoulders with a hoodie on the back to cover his head if necessary.

Jiraiya and Naruto had finally returned to the Leaf Village.

"It's been three years since I've seen this place" Naruto said softly as he and Jiraiya continued along.

"Feeling nostalgic Naruto" Jiraiya asked.

"A bit" Naruto admitted. Stopping by a light pole Naruto dropped his bag and jumped to the top of it with one leap.

Jiraiya smirked "Always so energetic."

Naruto stretched his arms out wide as the wind blew his hair about "Ah it's nice to finally be home again" Naruto said softly.

"C'mon Naruto" Jiraiya called. "We still need to report to Tsunade you know."

"Naw I'm grabbing a bite to eat first" Naruto said. "Later Pervy Sage" Naruto disappeared in a small flash of yellow.

Jiraiya sighed "I told him not to perform that jutsu in the village." Sighing to himself Jiraiya just decided to go and report to Tsunade alone. Meanwhile Naruto had just reappeared in an alleyway and walked out and was now heading towards his favorite restaurant.

On the way there he noticed that he was the center attraction of every single female that he passed as they either gave him seductive looks of lust, blushed shyly and looked away or blushed slyly and giggled at him or do all three.

Naruto, however, was still dense as ever and just continued on until he reached Ichiraku's Ramen Stand. "Ah it's been so long" Naruto said entering the restaurant. "Hey I'll take a Miso Ramen" Naruto said.

"Sure coming right up" Teuchi said without turning around still cooking the ramen.

"Jii-san" Naruto said "Don't you recognize me" he said with a smile. Teuchi turned around and gasped at who it was.

"My God Minato is that you" Teuchi gasped.

Naruto merely chuckled "I know I look a lot like my father, but no I'm just Naruto."

"Naruto" Teuchi said and gained a grin. "Naruto my boy welcome home. Ayame come and look who's finally returned."

"Huh" Ayame said coming out from the back before spotting Naruto. "Naruto is that you? Oh wow look at how much you've grown." They hugged each other from across the counter.

"Nice to see you too Ayame" Naruto grinned.

"C'mon let's serve our number one customer" Teuchi said and both of them got to work.

SCENE CHANGE

"Lady Tsunade" Shizune said coming into the office of the Hokage smiling.

"What is it Shizune" Tsunade asked.

"Lord Jiraiya has returned" Shizune said.

"Well what are you waiting for" Tsunade said forgetting her paperwork "Send him in."

"No need I'm already in" Jiraiya said leaning on the window sill. "Long time no see Tsunade."

"Jiraiya" Tsunade greeted. "So where is Naruto?"

"If I know him he's out getting ramen right now" Jiraiya said and they all shared a small laugh at that.

"So how did his training go" Tsunade asked. Jiraiya turned serious immediately and such a scary look in its eyes that it made Tsunade shudder a bit since she hadn't see Jiraiya have that look in his eye since the war. "What's with the look Jiraiya" Tsunade asked.

"It would save us both time if I just tell you his stats" Jiraiya said.

Tsunade's eyes were wide as were Shizune's "38, not even Sarutobi-Sensei had stats that high in his prime."

"No Shinobi has" Jiraiya replied.

"What does that mean" Shizune asked.

"That means that dealing with the Akatsuki is going to be much easier" Jiraiya said with a grin.

"Shizune, go and fetch Kakashi and Sakura and tell them to meet at Training ground seven at once" Tsunade said. "Also tell Kakashi that if he shows up even a second late I'll burn all of his Make Out Paradise books in front of him." Shizune nodded and left the office in search of the two mentioned Shinobi. "What about the Kyuubi" Tsunade asked.

"He can control up to five tails of power before losing control of himself" Jiraiya said. "Currently he's still training himself on how to control it better and if I take a wild guess then he'll master up to six tails by the end of the month."

Tsunade was silent and wide eyed "What did you do to him Jiraiya?"

"At first I was taking everything lax" Jiraiya said "But we ran into Akatsuki over the trip. This time they wounded Naruto really badly; he had both his lungs slashed open, and most of his organs had ruptured. It took all the knowledge I had in medical jutsu as well as the Kyuubi just to stabilize him. After that I decided to stop pussy footing around and I trained him so hard he wouldn't be able to move by the end of the day. Yet each day he would get back up begging for more. One time we trained for five days straight without any breaks. I was out for two days while Naruto woke up the next day refreshed and trained by himself."

"My god Jiraiya" Tsunade said quietly.

"That's not even the half of it" Jiraiya said. "Tell me Tsunade, have you heard of the Sacred Swords of the Five Elements?"

TIMESKIP

Naruto had just swallowed his tenth bowl of ramen and released a sigh "Ah that was good" he grinned. "Thanks for the meal" he said putting some money down and prepared to leave.

"Come back soon" Teuchi called.

Naruto left the Ramen stand and turned around to see Jiraiya and Tsunade there "Grandma Tsunade what's up" he waved. He got a punch to the skull for that "Yeow" he yelped holding his sore head.

"Even after three years you still call me that" she growled, but then she smiled and pulled him into a hug. "Welcome home Naruto" Tsunade said to him.

"Nice to see you too" Naruto said before they separated.

"Well Naruto I've told Tsunade of your training and she wants to see your progress" Jiraiya said. "We're to head to training Ground Seven."

"Well let's go" Naruto said grabbing them both by the hands and disappearing in a flash and reappeared outside of Training Ground Seven "We're here" he said. Jiraiya looked fine while Tsunade looked a little disoriented.

"What the hell was that" Tsunade gasped.

Naruto chuckled "Sorry I know it can be a little gut wrenching, but you get used to it after a while." The three of them proceeded into the training grounds. Once inside they saw two Shinobi standing there; ones that Naruto recognized immediately. "Kakashi-Sensei, Sakura" Naruto called to them.

Kakashi looked over and his once visible eye went wide "Minato-Sensei" he said in shock.

"Oh c'mon Kakashi-Sensei you know I'm not my father" Naruto said sheepishly.

Tsunade rounded on Jiraiya "He knows about his father."

"I'll tell you later" Jiraiya whispered.

"Naruto" Sakura said seeing her old teammate. "Naruto" she said happily running up to him. Naruto smiled and both of them embraced each other tightly before pulling away. "Wow, Naruto you're so much taller than me now" she gasped.

"Really now" Naruto said comparing their heights. Sakura was a short 5'5 while Naruto was a tall 6'2.

"Well Naruto" Sakura said blushing slightly "How do I look? Do I look more womanly?"

"Of course" Naruto said smoothly. "I thought you were cute in the past, but today your new womanly beauty completely stuns and bewitches me." Sakura blushed brighter and smiled at Naruto.

"A smooth talker as well" Tsunade said dangerously to Jiraiya.

"That wasn't any of my doing" Jiraiya gulped.

"Hey Naruto" Kakashi greeted "My you sure have changed a lot lately."

"You still look the same Kakashi-Sensei" Naruto said. "Oh by the way I've got something for you." Kakashi looked curiously at Naruto as Naruto pulled out a green book and held it in front of Kakashi.

"No way" Kakashi shouted with an awe struck look on his face.

"That's right" Naruto grinned "The newest version of Make Out Paradise in three years signed by the author himself." Kakashi took it with shaking hands and opened the first page and the book seemed to glow.

"That's enough Kakashi" Tsunade said interrupting Kakashi from his daydreams. "We came here for an assessment of skills." Kakashi closed the book and stored it in his pouch for later. "Alright this will be a match of Naruto and Sakura vs. Kakashi."

"Ah Tsunade if I may interject" Jiraiya said. "I think it would be wise to pit Kakashi and Sakura against Naruto."

"What" Tsunade said surprised.

'Has Naruto improved that much' Kakashi thought.

"Me and Kakashi-Sensei vs. Naruto" Sakura said shocked looking at a still smiling Naruto.

"I like the idea, let's do it" Naruto said.

Tsunade thought for a moment before sighing "Very well; Kakashi and Sakura vs. Naruto. You may begin when ready." Tsunade, Jiraiya, and Shizune jumped up into the trees out of the damage path. Sakura pulled out some black gloves and slipped them on while Kakashi reached up and touched his headband,

"I think I'm gonna have to take this seriously" Kakashi said.

"You have no idea" Naruto said. "I'm looking forward to seeing how strong both of you have gotten."

"Bring it on Naruto" Sakura said.

"Oh I will" Naruto said before reaching into his trench coat and then he began pulling out a long and beautifully crafted sword with intricate designs on the blade. (A/N: King's Sword from Prince of Persia: Two Thrones.) Naruto held it up and it glowed in the sunlight.

"Ah" Jiraiya said "He's using the Wind Sword." Tsunade thought back to what Jiraiya told her back in the office.

FLASHBACK

"What about these swords" Tsunade asked.

"Most people believe them to only be legend" Jiraiya said. "But they are not legend. As their name implies there are five of them with each one of them having the power to control one of the Five Elements completely."

"Completely" Tsunade asked raising a brow.

Jiraiya nodded "Yes complete and absolute control of the Element in question. It depends on which sword you possess. For example if one possessed the fire sword then they could create fire from the oxygen around them or shoot fire from their hands on a whim. If you had the Lightning sword you could create lightning from nothingness or conjure up a storm to control natural lightning. And all that person would need to do to activate it is simply possess the sword."

"Why are you telling me this" Tsunade asked.

"Because Naruto is in possession of Two of the Five Swords" Jiraiya said making Tsunade go wide eyed.

END FLASHBACK

"That's a very interesting sword Naruto" Kakashi said.

"It's a beauty isn't it" Naruto grinned "You can't borrow it though. Now then, let's get this show on the road." Sakura took the initiative and charged at Naruto with her fist drawn back while Naruto merely stood still. When Sakura got within punching distance she was about to hit him when all of a sudden she flew back and slammed into a tree "Come on Sakura you can do better than that I hope" Naruto taunted.

'What was that' Kakashi thought gazing at Naruto with his Sharingan eye only to widen it as he saw a invisible wind swirling around Naruto. 'I get it' Kakashi thought 'With the wind surrounding his whole body he can repel any physical attacks with that kind of wind density. In that case' he thought going through hand seals "Fire Style: Fireball jutsu" Kakashi shouted launching a fireball at Naruto.

The fireball hit dead on and Naruto didn't even try to move as the fire increased in size and heat due to all the wind. They all heard chuckling before there was a blast of wind and the fireball was destroyed "Please Kakashi-Sensei, don't go with something so obvious" Naruto chuckled.

'Well that could have gone better' Kakashi thought.

"Now allow me to show you a real Fire Style jutsu" Naruto said flashing through hand seals so quickly Kakashi could barely keep up. "Fire Style: Phoenix Flame Jutsu" he shouted sucking in a deep breath. He shot out, not red fire, but blue fire in the shape of a phoenix that flew at Kakashi.

'Shit' Kakashi cursed jumping to the side, but he was still too close and his arm got cooked a little bit. The phoenix exploded on contact and sent fire everywhere that caught the whole field on fire.

"Kakashi-Sensei" Sakura cried.

"Now Sakura you really should be focusing on me" Naruto said from behind her. Sakura went wide eyed and barely dodged a fatal blow from Naruto's sword, but she was still sent flying with a gash to her stomach. "Oh quick reflexes Sakura" Naruto complimented "Had you been a second later that would have been a fatal blow." Naruto ducked his head as two shuriken flew over "How dull; Wind Style: Force Blast Jutsu."

A blast of wind shot from Naruto into the spot where the shuriken came from and Kakashi was shot from the trees, but recovered and flipped in mid air. Naruto turned back to Sakura as she began punching at him as fast as she could. Naruto easily avoided all of her hits, but ducking and dodging, but not guarding since he knew he would suffer damage if he did that.

Naruto ducked three more attacks before grabbing her wrist and kicking her back. Naruto turned and slashed his sword down as Kakashi appeared with a kunai to defend himself. "I'll give you credit for being able to parry with a kunai, but all the same" Naruto said ominously. "The wind is far too powerful to let a pathetic weapon like that stop it." The sword passed through the kunai easily cutting it in half and slashing into Kakashi's shoulder.

'Damn it' Kakashi hissed in thought. He jumped back far and grabbed Sakura before taking off into the forest 'He just got through the kunai like it was melted butter.'

"They always run" Naruto sighed before he smirked.

Meanwhile Kakashi and Sakura stopped in a clearing with Kakashi panting slightly "Kakashi-Sensei" Sakura gasped seeing his wound. Her hands glowed green and she placed them over his wound and began healing it.

Kakashi began feeling relief "Thank you Sakura" Kakashi said.

"Naruto really has gotten a lot stronger hasn't he" Sakura asked.

Kakashi was silent "Yeah he has. He's already given us some wounds while we haven't even been able to touch him. We need to figure out a plan to defeat him."

"Really let me hear it" Naruto said standing upside down above them shocking them "Hi nice day isn't it" Naruto said with a confident smirk. He made a hand seal "Fire Style: Flash Flare Blast Jutsu." A blood red fireball shot from Naruto's mouth right towards them. Both of them jumped back in time with them both pulling out kunai. Suddenly two Naruto's burst from the smoke and began swinging the Wind Sword at them. They did their best at blocking, but the wind was still cutting them up immensely.

Kakashi actually managed to dodge the attack, but Naruto kicked him in the stomach sending him flying, but Kakashi pulled a substitution and tried attacking Naruto from behind, but Naruto ducked and kicked Kakashi in the chin making him back flip and landed on the tree.

Sakura dodged and blocked more attacks, but was still getting cut up. She dodged a stab, but Naruto grabbed her and flinged her over his shoulder and threw her into another tree. Sakura grunted before getting up and charging at Naruto with her fist glowing a dark blue. She slammed her fist onto the ground and it ruptured and began splitting apart rapidly.

Naruto looked at her comically wide eyed "Oh shit, run away" he shouted before taking off.

"Get back here Naruto" Sakura shouted taking off after him. Up in the trees Jiraiya was laughing while Tsunade and Shizune had beads of sweat running down their foreheads with their faces blank.

The clone of Naruto that was facing Sakura ran towards the original and Kakashi and they met before turning and dodging the attacks of both Kakashi and Sakura before jumping into the trees. "Earth Style: Swamp of the Underworld" both Naruto's shouted. Two swamps appeared underneath Kakashi and Sakura trapping them and they slowly began sinking. "Sorry guys, but it looks like I win this round" Naruto grinned as his clone dispelled.

"I agree" Tsunade said as she, Shizune and Jiraiya walked out from behind some trees. "I'm quite impressed with how well your skills have grown Naruto."

"Thanks" Naruto said. He released the swamp jutsu and Kakashi and Sakura were freed from it.

"That was very impressive indeed Naruto" Kakashi said, "But I am curious about something. How did you locate us so quickly after we took off?"

Naruto merely pointed at Sakura "Look at her right wrist" he said. They did and found out that she had a seal placed on her arm "During our previous clash I grabbed her wrist and placed a seal on it so I could instantly teleport to your spot whenever I wanted to."

"Very clever" Shizune said impressed.

"Now Tsunade please tell me that after all you've seen you're still gonna keep Naruto at Genin Level" Jiraiya asked.

"And why shouldn't I" Tsunade asked.

This time both Naruto and Jiraiya groaned simultaneously "Well for one it would be a waste of his time when we could use Shinobi like him on the front lines."

"And what about the Akatsuki threat" Tsunade countered.

"He could take one or two out no problem, but if there are more than two then it's a problem" Jiraiya said. "Besides I could tell that he was barely fighting with ten percent of his power." Kakashi and Sakura looked at Jiraiya shocked as did Tsunade and Shizune. "Not that these two are weak, far from it. I could tell that they weren't even going all out. If Kakashi was then he would have been able to give Naruto a slightly decent challenge. Hell nowadays he only gets a challenge if I spar with him."

Tsunade sighed in exasperation "Fine I guess I'm out voted. Naruto Uzumaki-"

"Namikaze" Naruto interrupted surprising Kakashi and Tsunade. "It's Namikaze now ever since I learned of my father."

"… Fine" Tsunade relented. "Naruto Namikaze; due to your improved skill and increased intellect on the battlefield I hereby promote you to the rank of Jonin. Report to my office tomorrow for your vest." Tsunade sighed "Now that that's over I am announcing that Team Kakashi has now bee informed with Kakashi, Naruto and Sakura with Kakashi as acting Leader. Report for mission's tomorrow morning" Tsunade said before turning and leaving with Shizune.

"Well Naruto I've got to get back to my Spy network" Jiraiya said.

"Peaking you mean" Naruto dead panned.

"Ungrateful little…" Jiraiya muttered silently. "Anyway I'll let you know if more information on the other swords comes out."

"Thank you" Naruto said as Jiraiya shunshined away.

"It was great seeing you again Naruto" Kakashi said "But I have to go as well." Kakashi quickly shunshined away not going to do work, but to read the new book that Naruto gave him.

Now we find Naruto and Sakura wandering around the Leaf Village together. It was still early in the day "So Naruto I'm curious about something" Sakura said.

"What is it" Naruto asked.

"That sword you used in our fight" Sakura said "Did you infuse it with wind jutsu or something because no matter how much me and Kakashi-Sensei defended you still got us."

"Ah so you noticed" Naruto said. "Well you're almost right, but first let me explain something to you over a bite to eat. My treat" he grinned. They situated themselves at a Dango restaurant and began waiting for their order. "So first let me ask you this, have you heard of the Sacred Swords of the Five Elements?"

"No" Sakura shook her head.

"I can see why" Naruto said "They aren't well known. Let me explain; the Sacred Swords of the Five Elements are very ancient and very powerful weapons. No one knows how they were created or by whom, but Legend has it that they were created over ten thousand years ago in the ancient times before technology, before ninja and even before the Sage of the Six Paths himself. Each weapon was infused with the power of one of the five elements. It basically means that if you possess one of the swords then you can control whatever the element that the sword possesses to your will. Legend says that if you possess even one of the five swords then you will be almost invincible."

Sakura sat wide eyed "How can such objects exist?"

"Few people believe they do" Naruto said. "But you've seen an example of one of them; the sword I used to fight you and Kakashi-Sensei was the sword of the wind."

"So you have one of the swords" Sakura aid wide eyed.

Naruto shook his head "Not one, but two. I possess two of the five swords and I am currently searching for all five of them." Their food was then served "Oh lunch is here, let's chow down" Naruto grinned and began eating the Dango with haste while Sakura ate hers more slowly while still staring at Naruto slightly.
