Songfic I had on storywrite a while ago...

The small cat shugo chara hid in the cherry tree, his eyes were narrowed as they scanned the area for what he was looking for.

He knew she would come. She came here very day to draw everything.

The tree was in the middle of the park so there was always something to see. Children playing and laughing. mothers chatting and wheeling babies in push chairs, familes having picnics and...lovers embracing.

He sighed

'When will she come nya?'

Suddenly he trembled as the girl flew past his tree, carrying her sketchbook and pencil. He purred as he saw her fly past. She was better then anything else! He suddenly felt uneasy. What was this feeling?

I never had this feeling before She gives me shakes and shivers I can't ignore.

Yoru had never thought he would need a girl. He had basicly everything he needed, but more sardines would be nice. He was an alley cat. He could follow the beat of his own drum, do as he pleased! All of that seemed like nothing now...

And I see that, there's more now then just, running free...

Miki was drawing the cherry tree in her sketchbook. She suddenly stopped as she heard a strange, yet familar noise come from inside 'N - ya...' she saw a pair of eyes peer at her from inside. Miki could hear her heart beat faster and her cheeks turning pink.

I never felt my heart beat so fast,

She set her stuff inside her bad and flew up to the tree

'Yoru! I know you're there!'

She flew inside the tree, scattering leaves around.

She saw Yoru sitting on a small branch, his face red 'M...Miki! Um...Hi.' Miki tilted her head slightly 'Why were you spying on me?'

Yoru's head shot up, face still red he said a little too quickly 'I wasn't spying nya! I was just...watching everyone...yeah...nya.'

Miki smiled. 'You're just like Ikuto! Always hanging around, and watching people.'

She sighed and got out her sketchbook. She was about to fly out of the tree when she felt a hand...no a paw...touch her shoulder.

She turned her head to see Yoru looking into her eyes.

Her cheeks burned right red as they stared into each others eyes. 'Why are you going Miki nya?' he asked after the long, akward pause.

Miki sighed. 'I am trying to find something new to draw!' Yoru laughed and grabbed her hand. Miki held her breath as he held onto her hand. 'C'mon! I'll show you something new you can draw!'

Miki suddenly noticed a small cut on one of his back paws. 'Yoru! You're hurt!' she gasped. He blinked and turned his head away and tried to drag her 'Come on Miki! You wanted to draw and you're gonna draw!'

She waited until he had pulled far enough until she let go, 'Nya!' he screeched as he banged into a branch. Miki cried out 'I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you!' she flew over to him and lifted up his head.

I'm thinking of him first and of myself last,

And how happy, I want him, to be...

Yoru felt her arms lift him up, her hand supporting his head as if he was a baby. 'Nya...' he whisperd as he opend his eyes.

He could see worry and relief mixed up in them...and another emotion...Yoru recognised it but didn't dare get his hopes up. Yoru was very suprised, he never realised that Guardian Characters could feel like this too...

Its amazing, someone in my life, just might be loving me...

A few minutes later they flew out of the tree together, his paw around her hand.

She silently prayed that her hands wern't sweaty. She could see the sun begin to set, she knew that Amu chan and the others would worry...but she didn't want to leave. It was like her dream had come true.

She was suprised too, she had never thought that Guardian Characters could feel this strongly about another. 'This is crazy...but I don't care...' she thought as she tightend her grip on Yoru's paw.

Is better then a dream...

I didn't know that I could feel this way...

As they flew together, hand in hand...well hand in paw...Yoru felt a strange warmness inside him. He could feel it spread from his head to his toes and even to his tail tip. His heart felt warm too.

Suddenly he felt stiff. He looked at their hand...and paw.

For the first time he actully noticed he was holding her hand. He felt a strange happiness rush through him.

She makes me warm and happy inside...

He smiled at her, his catlike teeth gleaming. Miki almost swooned but rememberd that she was cool. Besides, she couldn't let him know how she felt! But she felt dizzy when she looked at his smile again.

He smiles and I get dizzy and starry - eyed.

They flew over a field of beautiful flowers. Everywhere they could see small children and families admiring them but neither of them noticed. They both had a huge question.

All these feelings, I have, have me asking...

The thought haunted Miki as she looked up shyly at Yoru.

Can this be love...?

As Yoru looked at her to see her staring at him the same thought was imprented on his mind

They both felt to shy to speak to one another. Yoru was scared that he might say something that would offend her, Miki was worried she would say something stupid.

It's crazy,

I can hardly speak,

Whenever he/she says hi.

'Oh Yoru!' Miki gasped as Yoru led her down to the supposedly great place to draw 'It's...it's amazing!' Yoru had led her up on top of an old, dilapatated building.

Miki had been worried, as the moon had come out and stars were twinkling but had forgotton all about that when she saw the view. The full moon shone in front of them, making them glow in the moonlight.

On a fence down below them, a few of the cats from Yoru's stray cat group had gatherd, each with a companion. They looked up at the moon and yowled into the night sky.

Miki looked up at Yoru, with a questioning gaze. He looked at her and laughed 'To them, the yowling is sort of...a love song. Or lament. The louder you 'sing' the greater your love.

Miki sighed. 'That sounds soooo romantic. She moved closer to him.

He stood up and yowled up at the moon too. He did so for another few minutes. Finally when he stopped, Miki looked at her feel shyly. 'Um...Yoru?'

He looked at her and nodded. 'Um...well you 'sang' so which girl do you like...?'

Yoru looked in her eyes for a minute. He could see pain.

With a gasp he realised that she felt the same way. He put an arm around one shoulder and whisperd in her ear 'Well, I'll give you a clue. She's sitting right next to me nya.'

The pain in Miki's eyes vanished as she jumped at Yoru and hugged him tightly. They held each other close for a few more minutes. Suddenly Miki looked at the moon and sang out louder then any of the others so far, yet her voice was so sweet it didn't matter.

'I didn't know that I could feel'

Yoru smiled and stood up beside her and sang out with her

'I never dreamed that I could feel...'

Holding hands they finished the song together.

'I didn't know that I could feel this...

As they looked up at the moon Yoru turned towards Miki and kissed her softly 'I love you Miki.' Miki kissed him back 'And I love you too Yoru. They kissed again, the full moon shining down on them.

'Ahhhhhhhhhhh' all the cats meowed in unsion as they watched their embrace.
