"Do what?" Chad asked in shock.
"You know," Tawni simply said, "Sonny is going to take a fan as her prom date. You know how nice Sonny is."
"Why? That guy could be a creepy stalker!" Chad shouted.
"I know!" Tawni screeched. "But, Sonny doesn't think so. She thinks he's sweet. And you know she wants to give back to her fans."
"Wait, why are you telling me this?" Chad asked.
"Because I thought you might want to know." Tawni answered.
"Well, I'm going to talk to Sonny." He announced, standing up and walking out. Once he arrived at her dressing room, he knocked.
Sonny opened the door.
"Oh, hi Chad!" She greeted.
"Hey, can I talk to you?" He asked.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I heard that you were taking a fan to the dance." He questioned.
Sonny shrugged.
"Well, it's the nice thing to do, right?" Sonny asked.
"No, this guy could be some freak." Chad shouted.
"What do you care?" Sonny shrieked.
"I don't." He denied quickly. "I just... don't want him near me."
"Well, he won't be near you then." Sonny sneered. "You don't have to be near me at prom."
Chad's heart stung. "I don't want to." He said confidentially.
"Good" Sonny said, though her heart ached, as though a thousand bricks landed on it.
"Fine." He said shortly before turning around and leaving. He spotted Dakota and walked the opposite direction.
Sonny sighed, and began looking through more letters.
Chloe passed Chad.
"Hey, Chad!" She said, happily.
"Hey." He said in disgust.
"Gee, is that how you greet a friend." Chloe exclaimed taken aback.
"I said hey. What do you want me to say?" He asked annoyed.
"What's wrong, Chad?" Chloe gave him a concerned look.
"Nothing is wrong." Chad said curtly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to... go take a bath."
Chloe sighed.
"Whatever, Chad."
He walked off.
Chloe went to see if she could find Nico, who was sitting in the cafeteria with Grady.
She passed them, flipping her hair. She gave a look towards Nico, and continued to walk.
"What was that about?" Nico asked Grady, who just shrugged. "Chloe." He walked up to her.
"Nico." Chloe replied
"What was that about?" He asked.
"What was what about?" Chloe innocently asked.
"This." He walked prissily, acted like he flipped his "long" hair, and strutted back over to her.
Chloe giggled,
"Nice imitation." She said.
"Thank you, but why did you do that?" Nico asked again.
"Um, why?" Chloe asked. "Well, " She then regained her confidence. "Why else does a girl do it?"
"I'm not a girl. I don't know." Nico said.
"Well, do you have an idea?" She asked.
"I will if you tell me." Nico told her.
"Well, sometimes when a girl does it, she MAY be trying to get a boy's attention." She said.
Nico raised his eyebrows. "Oh, really?" He asked suavely.
"Usually."
"Is that the case here?" Nico asked.
"Maybe." Chloe said
"Why would you want my attention?" Nico asked.
"Who said it was yours I wanted?" Chloe asked.
"You looked at me." Nico stated.
"It could have been that guy." She pointed at some random guy.
"He wasn't near me." Nico stated.
"He was behind you.' Chloe argued.
"Ok, why were you trying to get that guy's attention?" Nico asked, not buying it.
Nico waited for her answer.
"Because, I like him." She nervously said.
"You like... Dave, the Tween Gladiator?" Nico asked.
Chloe smirked, "Maybe."
"Go tell him." Nico insisted.
"But, maybe I don't like him." She said quickly
"Why were you smiling and waving at him then?" He asked.
"Maybe, it was someone else." She answered.
"Who?" He asked.
"You'll just have to figure that out for yourself." She said winking at him and walking away.
"She winked at me." He announced. "She likes me." With that, he walked over to his table.
"Dude, you should ask her out!" Grady exclaimed.
"You're so right." He smirked. 'I am becoming Chad Dylan Cooper Junior' He thought.
"So, what are you waiting for, Christmas?" Grady insisted.
Nico scowled at him. "When are you going to get a date?"
Grady looked down, "I don't know, I don't think Mel likes me very much."
"Ask her out." He demanded.
"Fine, I will if you ask Chloe out." Grady demanded.
"Fine." Nico said.
"Fine." Grady retorted.
"Good." Nico said, trying to remember where he heard that.
"Why are we doing this? We're not Sonny and Chad?" Grady laughed.
"I don't know." Nico laughed along.
"Well, I'm going to the 'Patio', I'll see you." Grady said.
"Bye." He waved.
At the Patio, Grady was sitting on a yellow bench right by a coffee table. He had his feet on the table.
"Feet off the table!" Mel yelled. "Oh, hey Grady." She smiled.
Grady went to sit up but fell over off the bench.
"Oh, hey Mel." He said, on the floor.
Mel laughed. "Here." He set down her tray and put a hand down.
Grady reached for her hand.
She pulled him up and smiled at the touch.
Grady gratefully smiled at her. "Thanks," He said nervously, blushing
"What brought you here?" She asked, picking up her tray.
"Well," Grady hesitated. "Have you ever been to a prom before?"
"No." Mel said, dragging out the word. "Why?"
"Because," He shuffled his feet, "Condor Studios, the place where I work, is having a prom, and I was just wondering if you would like to go. I mean, I know we just met-"
"I'd like that." She smiled. "As long as you don't put your feet on the table anymore." She said slyly.
"It's a deal," Grady smiled.
Nico walked up to Chloe.
Chloe smiled at Nico.
"Hi." She quietly said.
"Hey, uh, I was wondering if you had a date for the prom." He stated awkwardly.
"Hmm, let me check." Chloe pulled out a little organizer and looked through it. "Nope, no date for the prom. Unless, you are asking. Are you asking, Nico?"
He panicked. "No!" He yelled before running away.
Chloe felt her heart sink as she watched the guy of her dreams run away. She sighed, and sat down at a table.
Tawni headed over to So Randoms table, but she saw Chloe there. "You're in my seat."
Chloe looked up, "Oh, sorry, Tawni." She apologized, and stood up.
"Yeah." She sneered.
"Sorry." Chloe said, backing away.
"Hey, did Nico ask you out yet?" She asked in a snooty tone.
"No." Chloe said, sadly.
Tawni's eyes widened. "Really? I overheard him and Grady talking about it. Grady told him to ask you so I just assumed..."
"He's going to ask me?" Chloe excitedly exclaimed.
"I think so. I don't know." Tawni shrugged.
"Well, I hope so." Chloe grinned. "Cause, then, I'd say yes."
"Great." Tawni said dully.
Chloe went over to Nico.
"So, Nico," She says.
"Yeah?" Nico asked, turning around.
"Do you have a date to prom?" She asked.
"No..." Nico said. "Why?"
"Oh, just wondering." Chloe said. "You planning on asking anyone?"
"Yeah, I plan on asking SOMEONE; I just don't know who." He said.
"Oh," Chloe lowered her head, but then, she lifted it back up. "Because, I know someone who, if you asked her, wouldn't say no."
"Who?" He asked.
"Oh, well, in my opinion she's kinda crazy, but she works on Mackenzie Falls." Chloe answered. "Unless, you already have someone on your mind."
"Penelope?" Nico asked.
Chloe sadly sighed, "No, not Penelope."
"Portlyn?" He asked, although he knew the answer.
"Nope, not Portlyn" Chloe grinned. "Hope your not too disappointed that it's neither of them."
"No, what other girls are on Mackenzie Falls though?" Nico asked, rubbing his chin.
"Well, there's Brianne, Julie, and Me." She answered.
"Ok, I'm guessing it's... you." Nico said boldly.
"And, you wouldn't be wrong." Chloe sang.
"So, you're asking me to prom?" He asked, pointing to him then her.
"No." Chloe answered, and leaned towards him.
"But, if YOU were to ask me, then I wouldn't say no."
Nico thought for a while. "Why won't you ask me?"
"Because, I'm the girl." Chloe said, "I want the guy to ask me."
"Why?" He asked with a shake of his head.
"Because, I believe the guy should be the pursuer not the pursuee."
He scrunched his eyebrows and repeated, "Why?"
Chloe shrugged, "Because that's how I feel."
"Ok." Nico said. He sat still for a while.
CHloe waited for him to ask her, but since he hadn't she sighed and said,
"Well, I guess I better go."
He breathed in and blurted, "Will you go with me?"
Chloe smiled, "And, I thought you'd never ask. Yes, Nico, I'd love to go with you."
"Good." He smiled.
"Good." Chloe blushed.
"Fine." He said, trying to remember where he heard it before.
"Fine."
"Who says that?" Nico asked.
"Sonny and Chad." Chloe giggled.
"Gross." He said in disgust.
Chloe giggled
The next day, Tawni sat in her dressing room, thinking.
Sonny came in and looked at her.
"Whatcha thinking about?" She asked.
"I don't know who should be my date." She admitted shamefully. "No one has asked me out yet."
"Oh, well who do you want to go out with?" Sonny asked.
"I don't know. I want to go with someone really famous so I'll get a lot of attention." She said, tapping her foot.
Sonny began to think, "Hmmm, who should that be?"
"The only person I can think of is Chad, but NO THANK YOU." She said.
Sonny sighed a breath of relief.
"Ooo. What about Christopher McCreery? The country singer?" Tawni asked.
"He could work." Sonny said, "Or what about Troy Conners, the Christain singer. No, wait he's dating someone."
"I think he's the one." Tawni squealed.
Sonny gave a little squeal. "Now, how do we get him to ask you?"
"I don't know." Tawni frowned.
"Hmm," Sonnny said.
"I could ask him on So Random!" Tawni announced, standing up.
"That's a great idea!" Sonny exclaimed.
"Yay!" Tawni yelped.
"Let's go talk to Marshall about it."
"K." Tawni said, and she skipped off.
Sonny followed.
"Marshall, we want to talk to you about something." Sonny said to Marshall, in his office.
Marshall leaned back in his chair, resting his head on his arms.
"Sure, what's up kiddos?"
"I want to ask Christopher McCreery to prom with me on So Random." Tawni said boldly.
Marshall scratched his head as he thought.
"Hmmm, well, sure why not." He said.
Tawni jumped and cheered.
Sonny cheered with her.
Marshall covered his ears.
Tawni suddenly stopped. Her eyes grew. "I hope he says yes,"
"I did say yes, didn't I?" Marshall replied.
"I'm talking about Christopher." She said rudely.
"Oh, sorry I got confused." Marshall said.
"Yeah." She said curtly. She skipped off.
Marshall just stood there confused.
Sonny apologized to Marshall, before backing up and following Tawni.
"Sonny!" Chad called. He ran up to her. "Hey, that fan person kinda guy of yours is here."
"Really? Already?" Sonny squealed, like a fan girl meeting Chad Dylan Cooper for the first time.
"Yes. Really." Chad said dully.
Sonny squealed. She did a little leap, clapping her hands, and ran in the direction of the guy.
He stopped her. "But let me warn you, he's not that good looking."
"Chad, I saw the pic, he's good looking." Sonny said.
"Pfft." Chad scoffed. "I'm hotter than him."
Sonny rolled her eyes, and headed over to the guy.
"Jacob?"
Jacob stood up from his seat. "Whoa. You're hotter in person."
Sonny blushed, "Awe! Thanks"
"No problem. You want to show me around?" He said, rubbing her right arm across from him.
Feeling slightly uncomfortable at the touch, she moved her arm away, and smiled.
"Sure, follow me."
Sonny began to walk towards the prop house.
He followed as close as he could. "You got a boyfriend?"
"No," Sonny shook her head.
He smiled. "Cool. I don't have a girl either."
"Oh, is that so?" Sonny asked, smiling cause she kinda liked this guy.
"Yeah, but who knows what could happen..." He trailed off with a smile.
"Yeah," Sonny agreed with a grin. "Who knows what could happen."
"So, what other shows film here?" He asked.
"There's Mackenzie Falls, Hoosier Girl, Pauly and Pals." Sonny grinned at that. "Teen Gladiators, Meal or no meal and tons of other shows."
"Cool, So Random's the best." He said.
"Awe, thank you." Sonny gushed, as they arrived at the Prop house.
"This is the Prop house." Sonny told Jacob. "Where we hang out before and after the show. This is also where we come up with the sketch ideas."
"Cool. I've heard about this place." He said with a smile.
"Here we have some of the items that we used in the sketches on So Random." Sonny said. She went over to an alien statue that had a black hat with bee antenna.
"This is the hat I used in my very first sketch." Sonny beamed.
"I remember that. You looked cute even as a bee." He smiled.
"Thanks." She said with a hint of pink on her cheeks.
"Thank you for being cute."
Sonny blushed redder than a tomato.
"So, wanna take me to the cafeteria? I'm hungry." He said with hope in his voice.
Sonny smiled, and said, "Sure."
She led him out of set three and across the way to the cafeteria. Once there, Sonny moved her arm as to show off the cafeteria.
"And, here is where we eat. Unfortunately, we at So Random, don't get good food."
"Why?" He asked.
"Because, only Mackenzie Falls gets the good food." Sonny groaned, aggravated.
"Why?" He repeated.
"I wish I knew." She said.
"So Random's soooooo much better than Mackenzie Stalls." He joked.
Sonny laughed. "Awe, well, thanks."
"I only speak the truth." He said with his arm up.
Sonny smiled at him, and sighed.
"Okay, let's get some food." She declared. Heading towards the food.
"What's for lunch?" He asked, grabbing a white paper plate.
"Chicken knuckles and decreamed corn." Said Brenda, the woman behind the lunch line.
"Decreamed corn, isn't that just corn?" Sonny asked.
"Don't start with me, Missie." Brenda said.
Jacob looked at Sonny in fear. "What's chicken knuckles?" He asked Brenda.
"It's food." Brenda answered as she piled on a pile of what looked like chicken mush onto his plate. "Now, move along."
Sonny sighed, "You know, I think I can get us better food." She handed Jacob her plate and headed over to Chad's table.
"Chaaad." She said in an uber sweet voice.
He looked up from his phone and mocked, "What?"
"Well, I was wondering since Jacob is visiting and it wouldn't be fair if Jacob eats bad food, if you wouldn't mind getting us some good food?" She asked.
"Hmmm. WIIFC?" He asked.
"How about a 'You're the greatest actor of our generation?'" Sonny tried.
"Oooo. Tempting, but no." He answered with a smirk.
"Well, then what would you want?" Sonny asked.
"I want you to be my butler." He said with satisfaction.
"You want me to be your butler?" Sonny asked/screeched.
He nodded with a toothy grin.
"Why?" Sonny asked, shaking her head. "How about I do one thing that you ask? But after the prom."
"Okay." He sighed. He got up and walked to the line. "Hi Brenda." he smiled as fake as ever but it looked genuine.
"Hi Chad," Brenda smiled sweetly. "What can I get you?"
He leaned near Sonny. "What do you guys want?"
"I'll take some taco's." Sonny smiled sweetly at Chad. Then, she looked at Jacob. "What would you like Jacob?"
"Shrimp cocktail." He smirked. Chad just stared at him blankly. "Ok. Brenda, shrimp cocktail and tacos."
Brenda nodded, bent down to a secret cabinet where she pulled out a silver platter of taco's and a silver platter of shrimp cocktail."
He grabbed it, winked at Brenda, and handed the platters to Sonny and Jacob, winking at Sonny.
Sonny felt her heart flutter as Chad winked at her, and she gladly took the platter. "Thanks, Chad." She smiled, looking into his eyes.
"No problem. You owe me a favor, remember." He deviously smiled.
Sonny shook her head, "Yes, I remember. Now scoot, so me and Jacob can eat." Sonny did not know what forced her to do this, maybe it was the fact that she wanted to get over Chad, or maybe she just wanted to see his reaction, but she leaned close to him, and whispered,
"I think I like Jacob."
