The pool was like nightmare. It was a shop of horrors. Owen was coughing violently. He curled up hugging his knees. "A-Abby..." He murmured quietly. She was covered in blood. He hadn't looked up at her fully yet. Owen was shell shocked. Had this really just happened. Had she just saved him. Had she just murdered four boys. Owen just layed there.

"Owen..." The voice came from above him. It was her. And, honestly it was beautiful. It was something he needed to hear her voice. It was like a dream. This couldn't be real. "We need to leave." Oh, fuck. Owen's mind snapped into it. This was happening. Owen felt a cold hand being placed on his bare shoulder. Abby was sitting beside him now. Owen was still out of it. Still, trying to process what had just happened. Owen sat up for the first time. He looked into Abby's icy blue eyes. He pulled her into a tight hug. To which Abby for once hugged back. "You came back."

"I never left..."

"W-What do you mean-"

"Owen." Abby cut Owen off. "We need to leave now." Owen nodded quickly. He turned to the mess. The blood. The limps. The destruction. He felt like he was going to pass out. Abby did this. They got what they deserved. But, why had she came back? Why would she risk everything just for him? Owen got to his feet and followed behind Abby who was already a great deal ahead of him. Owen gagged when he passed an arm. Then... Oh, god. A head. Kenny's head. Owen ran to a garbage can and started to puke. Abby hurried back to him. "Owen. Hurry we need to go, now..." Her tone was still calm. But, it was plain to see she was in more of a panic. Owen responded by puking more violently into the trash. "Owen... Please..." Abby was begging at this point. Owen lifted his head from the trash can nodding.

Abby started moving again. Her pace was quick. She was in a hurry. Owen was just slowing her down. Why would she want him with her. Owen was more of a pest than a help. Abby was already at Owen's locker. Owen was a good ten steps behind her. He quickly when into his locker grabbing his coat, his shirt, and some pants. Quickly he pulled his pants up over his swim wear. Owen wiggled into his shirt and slid his coat on. Abby placed the hat on Owen's head. Owen gave her a smile. She didn't even look at him. Abby turned and started walking again. Owen followed close behind. His mind just now beginning to grasp what was happening. Abby opened the back door letting the gust of cold air into the buliding. Owen shivered against the air. Abby didn't. She didn't feel a thing. Did she feel anything for Owen? Was he just a play thing? A game? Abby looked back at him. She extended a hand back for him to take. She was covered in blood, bone marrow, gore. Yet, she never looked so beautiful.

"Are you coming?" Her tone was gentle. Calm. The panic in her voice was gone. She expected him to leave everything? His mother, his father. His life. Owen had a bright future. His teachers said so. He had one friend. His name was Billy. Owen liked him. Billy was really nice. They played all the time before he moved away... Owen studied her face. She looked like she was pleading. Worried he wouldn't take her hand. Worried he wouldn't accept her. She did... Abby cared about Owen. She cared more than his Father... Even more than his mother. No one paid him any mind. No one cared. No one knew his pain. His existance was a sad one. Abby. She gave him purpose. He gave her warmth. Warmth she hasn't felt in hundreds of years. He loved her. He loved her more than she knew. He faced a fork in the road. Either, grow old, alone, go mad regreting not taking the girls hand. Or, find purpose... Commit. Commit to the only person who had ever cared about him. Owen had been rejected. Rejected his whole life. No... He wouldn't put Abby thourgh that. Owen laced his hand with Abby. Abby lips twitched almost forming a smile. He could she the relief in her face.

Note from the writer: I have way more. The next chapter will continue right where this one ends. Feedback would be great! Thanks,
