I love him. I'll never let go. He runs, I chase. He falls, I'll fall with him. There is love after death. The "song" inside this story is a poem really, MINE. I wrote it, so it is not copyrighted. Just a warning I feel I apparently needed to say.

What did I do wrong?

To make you leave me for so long?

Naruto ran desperately through the forest, hunting for someone. A man. His best friend.

I loved you, so damn much.

You were my everything.

In my world, you were king.

He panted hard, his aching body fueling him further. This physical pain was nothing to what he had survived through. The years without his best friend, his love. His.

You were my best friend, no matter that they turned you as a foe.

I promise to you, I'll never let you go!

His feet pounding on the unyielding ground. Heart slamming against his chest, threatening to break through him. His growl echoed through the darkened cave, a warning to all. His elongated fangs protruding from his mouth and glinting in the dim light like small knives, snarling at the world.

I'm so sorry for what has happened to us.

I know there will be no more trust.

But understand my love for you.

Maybe we can start a-new.

The path never got shorter no matter how long he ran. The enemies never stopped attacking, no matter how hard he fought. Endless, hopeless. His love was in danger; his soul mate was giving up.

Don't leave me, oh no don't you dare.

I won't let you go, not to God, you are mine and I won't share.

You won't give in to death.

You won't take that last beautiful breath!

The rain drenched the enraged Jinchuuriki as he destroyed the cave wall, the debris reminding those who crossed it of his wrath. The stinging, icy chill of the rain seeped into his blood and pushed him far, to catch his love. He slid on the grass, halting his movement. Blue eyes shone through the blinding downpour like lanterns.

When I see you, all I see is perfection.

When my senses focus on you it's an electrifying sensation.

His glare sought out the figure standing on the edge, his raven colored hair plastered to his starlight skin. His dark, ever-seeing eyes stared into the beyond before he slowly turned to stare with those eyes of his, as deep as an ocean, revealing nothing yet everything, to the blonde boy- No. Man. He sighed with a soft smile. Something that said he was sorry it had to end this way.

You are the master of my soul.

The only person who can make me whole.

I swear without you I will die

And though I love you, I don't understand why.

He growled as his angel stepped once, twice,

Off the ledge.

With an animalistic cry he lunged forward after him, refusing to live without his other half. He reached out in midair, arms of steel encasing the fragile angel, the wind whipping their hair as the storm cradled them.

I made you a promise. One I shall never break.

For you are mine, from which I give and take.

The angel of ice curled into the fire of the demon. Perhaps it should have been the other way around. The blonde tilted his special one's face up, smirking as he blinked against the wind and rain. He pressed his lips against his softly. Heart finally at peace.

The time allowed them this before they hit the unforgiving ground.

But, there is still love, even in death.

AUTHORESS NOTE:

Hi… My friend read this over my shoulder once (this story is old as fuck I just finished it now) and said she was pissed I had tricked her into thinking it would happy, but then they die. It is happy. My belief sees death as a gift, a passing to be with peace. And their spirits are together! I thought of just killing Sasuke, but I was depressed when I started this. SO I gave mercy and now they are together.
