Sorry i've taken so long to write had major things to do. Hope you like it and give it a review and some new ideas for me

I looked into Damon's icy blue eyes and saw really happiness for the first time in a long time. I was also happy to be with him I wanted to give him a chance to be happy with me to actually feel that he got what he has been wanting for a long time.

"Are you sure Elena that you want to be with me?" He asked me my sadness in his voice.

I looked at him and graved his hand and placed it to my neck. "Of course I want to be with you Damon trust me this is something new for me as well as for you." I said to him and hugged him. He placed his head on top of my head and kissed it softly.

"Do we have to tell anyone about us?" I asked him thinking of my friends and Jeremy. The would not like it that i gave Damon a chance after all that he has done in the past. He looked at me and kissed me lightly on the lips. "Only if you want to and when you think its the right time of course I wont push you I promise Elena." Damon said he went to his room and i just stayed in the living room. I only waited a few seconds and he came back with a small box.

"I have something for you my dear sweetheart."He said to me and open the small box. There inside was the most beautiful ring I've ever seen it was silver with a diamond in the center and 4 small crystals 2 on the right and 2 on the left. He took it out and placed it on my ring finger. "Elena I promise to love you till the day I die" He said kissing my hand. All I could do was look at it and look at him i felt tears coming down my check,. He brushed them away with his tumb.

"I don't know what to say Damon its beautiful."

"Yeah it belong to my mother, my father gave it to her when they got engaged, but this isn't an engagement ring its more like a promise ring." He said, graved me by the waits and pulled me towards him so i could be really close to him our face just inches away from each other. I could smell his scent and it made me kinda dizzy. He looked a little concern but he probably tough i was just overwhelmed with everything.

"I...I have to get back home Damon Ric and Jeremy must be worried about now." I said to him looking at his lips. He laughed to himself and led me to the front of the house. He opened it and we headed towards my car. He lifted his hands so i could give him my car keys I gave it to him and went to sit down on the passenger seat.

He drove me to my house and we didn't say a word on the car its was very quite and i was getting kinda worried. What was I going to say to Ric and Jeremy about Damon. I knew Jeremy wont be so happy I mean Damon killed him. Good thing he was wearing the ring if not he would have come back. We were at my house now and he got out and went to my side and opened the door for me. "Thank you" he was being so polite.

"Elena i hope you have a great night sleep I'll see you tomorrow." He said and stroked my hair he lean to me and kissed me tenderly on the lips. At that moment i heard the door open.

"I thought i heard someone outside" Ric said looking at both me and Damon. We were extremely closed and he eye balled Damon, I turn a little red.

"Hello Alaric I came to drop her off like I said and now I'm leaving Goodnight Elena, bye Alaric." he said as he walked to the street and started running at vampire speed. I stared after him knowing that i would see him again tomorrow. Alaric just keep his eyes on me and looked so strange at me.

"Do you mind telling me whats going on between you and Damon, Elena?" Alaric asked me. I saw Jeremy sitting in the couch playing his video game. I knew he would like me dating Damon and either will Alaric.

I sighed and sat down at the couch next to Jeremy. "I'm dating Damon" I said and Jeremy just looked surprised and Alaric just stayed quite.

"What no comment from either of you?" I asked them.

"Elena are you sure you want to be with Damon? I mean he is kinda of an ass." Jeremy said, I knew he was right but I knew Damon could change.

"Yes Jeremy I'm sure I love him really love him I think I've know for a while I just could admitted to myself because of Stefan. But Stefan wont be coming back to Mystic Falls ever again." I said sad remembering how I kicked him out of his hometown.

"How do you know this Elena?" Alaric asked me.

"I saw him today at the Boarding House and he cought me and Damon having dinner and being together and i told him to leave and never come back." I said to both of them.

"Stefan was at the Boarding House did he hurt you?" Jeremy asked me angry.

"No Jer Damon keep me away from him, but he did came back for me he wanted to take me away from here and you all but i told him no i would rather die then leave everyone I love." I said angry.

I was very tired and wanted to sleep I got up and went to my bedroom. I took my pj from my closet and took a hot shower. I warm water felt so good on my skin, it relaxed my muscles. I got out and dryied my body and sliped on my purple short short with my purple tank top. When i opened my bedroom door I saw Damon sitting on the edge of my bed. He looked at me and gave me a very sweet smile.

"Shit Damon you scared me. What are you doing here?" I whispered.

"Wanted to make sure you were ok and that Stefan wont be lurking around here." He said, he stood up and walked towards me his hand stroking my cheek. I smiled at him and kissed me on the cheek.

"Thank you but I should really go to bed now I have school tomorrow. And a test as well so goodnight Damon." I went to my bed and got into the covers and looked at him. He stood there and walked to the bed and layed down with me.

"Don't worry my love I'll be here watching you sleep and protecting you all night." he said.

I smiled and drifted to a deep sleep. With the best dream in the world. I was holding Damon's hand and we walked together down the forest.
