It was impossible. Surely I would have felt something, like a shot of pain or a jolt of depression because you can't know someone as long as I've known Ellie and not feel something when they died. I shuddered at the thought. It just couldn't happen! She had survived so much; it was laughable at the thought that she couldn't survive a bullet. She was…she was…well she's Ellie! There was always the chance that she didn't like me back too, or maybe loose interest in me as Fi had. That had hurt badly, too badly for my liking, and was just that little bit more hesitant with Ellie because that would hurt ten times more over. I really didn't want to experience that.

But then, maybe she does like me and is just as hesitant, or has lingering feeling towards Lee. The stab of jealously that came next was about as surprising as it was expecting. What was so special about Lee?
