You get there all of a minute late.

The alley were they'd be is burning, dust blowing in the air.

When night falls again the fire's gone but the ground remains charred and bloody.

Two bodies are pulled out from under the rubble, and after long searching the investigators find no more.

Winifred Burkle and Charles Gunn, they find Wesley's body the next morning.

You watch the news with unblinking eyes, tears you simply cannot cry.

The vampires you longed to see are nothing.

You're left with memories that can't even hold you until morning.
