Bubba got up and walked into the kitchen. Vint and Mama were already up.
"Hi Grandma." Bubba said.
"Oh be quiet!" Mama hollered.
"I'm sorry Grandma. That was out of line." Bubba said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and looked at Vint. Vint stood up.
"I'm going to go look and see if Naomi is ready." Vint said. Mama slammed her hands on the counter.
"Vinton, tell her to hurry it up! She doesn't need the hooker makeup anyway!" Mama exclaimed. Naomi walked up from the basement.
"I heard that old lady and I do need my makeup so I can be presentable for my husband." Naomi said in a mushy way and then kissed him. Mama faked a gag.
"Don't make me get sick you two. Now get out to your job check-out girl. I have a hair appointment." Mama touched her head.
"Grandma, I have a date tonight." Bubba said taking a bite of toast. Mama turned to him distracted.
"What? Speak up." Mama said.
"I have a date tonight. Remember, you told me I could go. I am an adult after all." Bubba stated.
"Oh don't start with me Bubba Higgins!" She exclaimed. He stood up and Iola Boylen walked in.
"Don't holler at me! You never treat me like an adult!" Bubba slammed his chair down and smacked into Iola. "Oh I'm sorry Miss Boylen." Iola took off her glasses.
"Oh it's okay Bubba." Iola said in her sweet way. Bubba looked at Mama.
"I wish I didn't have to live here anymore!" Bubba exclaimed.
"Then that makes two of us Bubba!" Mama yelled. She threw two pieces of French toast at Bubba. He caught one and took a bit.
"Where could I go?" Bubba asked.
"I don't care Bubba! Just get out of my house. Now." Mama exclaimed.
"I can't wait!" Bubba stormed out of the room. Mama looked at Iola.
"What do you want?" She asked. Iola looked at her with the usual puzzled Iola look.
"Thelma, he doesn't have anywhere to go. What are you going to do?" Iola asked.
"I let him stay with me for free. If he wants out so bad, he will have to figure it out."

Bubba was packing his bedroom.
"She doesn't want me here, I'll get out. I don't need her charity anymore." Bubba paused. "If only I know where I was going." Bubba picked up his suitcase and stormed out of the bedroom, down the stairs and into the living room. He looked around the house one more time before storming out of the house for good.
