Just a short poem I had to write for an English assignment. It's written from Miss Havisham's point of view. I rushed through this, but I hope it isn't too bad. We weren't finished with the book when I wrote this, so it's not as deep as it could have been (but me being me, I'm too lazy to go back to rewrite it) ^_^.

"Frozen in Time"

Time for me has halted
Forever frozen at twenty to nine
Out of my life you easily waltzed
My broken heart will never be fine
I've grown gray with a single shoe
And this faded wedding dress
Everything has turned old from new
But my heart has made no progress
I trained her with just one simple goal –
To break them down to their very soul
