I drove up to the concert hall and went backstage.
I had to find Chip.
I located his dressing room and walked in, his shirt was off.
He was surprised but made no movement.
"We gotta talk." I said sternly.
He slowly sat on his couch.
"It's about-"
"I know what it's about, Timmy. You don't want to date me."
I nodded yes, "Thanks for understanding."
He got up and hugged me, whispering.
"Is Pix on the market?" He murmured.
I giggled(yes, giggled), "She's in the 'forever alone til further notice' isle."
"Then, great." he kisses my forehead, "Thank you."
I hear a crash outside and see someone collapsed under stage equipment, I help them get it off.
"Jake?" I ask uncertainly.
He avoids my eyes, "Yeah."
"What's wrong?"
"Ever heard of shutting the goddamn door!" He says hoarsely.
"What do you-"
"I saw you with my cousin!"
His cousin...
Chip!
Oh, God, he thinks...
"Why did you come with me in the first place? To get close to Chip?" He says harshly.
"I distinctly remember running FROM him, and meeting you." I said with a snip as he stands.
He stops, then mulls this over.
"He wanted me but I said no!" I say angrily.
"Why?" He barked at me, "Why give up a famous idol of yours!"
My cheeks grew red with anger, "Because I wanted to get to know you better!"
He seems to stop, completely shocked.
I continue, "Being with you was the best time of my life, I want more times like that."
He smiled a bit, and I reached a hand up to his head and kissed him.
"I'm beginning to like you a lot, Jake."
He smiles, "Me too."
Chip pops his head out of the door, 'nonchalantly'.
"Jake, if you're done making kissy faces with your cute boyfriend, get back to work."
We blushed and laughed at ourselves for making such a spectacle.
He hefted the stuff on stage and as soon as he finished I watched the show with him.
I'm proud to say we held hands the entire time, not only that.
The article on Chip's concert gave me a huge raise.
Big enough to convince Jake to move in with me.
Pix and Chip have been dating since that night.
She moved in with him, seeing as I don't need her protection anymore.
They're getting married in June, and a set of twins are on the way.
I've been living together, with Jake, for a year.
I'm gonna propose tonight, wish me luck!
