Ciel Phantomhive was pondering.
Maybe just for once, he could pretend.
He could pretend to be happy, free boy...normal...
That not everything in his life was corrupted into Hell-almost litterally, considering Sebastian.
What he'd give, if only to be normal, to be even a common beggar. He would survive, he's learned the ways through his work.
If only...
Perhaps he should give up his work, his fortune? Simply...leave it all behind, find a nice girl that wasn't pampered, always trying to change him. One that would expect better of himself instead of foolishly, blindly loving him?
Balderdash! He could do no such thing; he had a responsibilty to not only the Queen, but to his parents!
But...Ciel would never admit the devious thought aloud, but he's wondered how it would have been if none of this had ever happened. If he was still the carefree, smiling child he would have been, had fate itself not destroyed that, with only a simple flick of the wrist.
He wondered...
Could he do it?
Considering all things, he did believe so.
He could write up a note, ordering Sebastian to oversee the mansion until he got back...
Shaking his head, he decided.
He would give it a try, if only for a week or so.
Unless he enjoyed it.
Then he wouldn't return.
He started scribbling a letter to the Queen.
After, he would start on the letter to Sebastian.
So, should it stay a one-shot If It extends...well, it will most likely go straight to Hell...
