Hey guys this is my first Spring Awakening fiction. I never have writen one before other then glee fanfiction. But I have currently become obbsesed with Spring Awakening. Watching the show a billion times on youtube, listening to the music, and reading and hoping for the move ( It has to have Jon and Lea in it and also maybe the guy who played Moritz whoes name I think is Jon Gallagher Jr.) This is if Wendla had gotten away from the doctor and Melchior had read the letter before the other boys at the reformatory had attacked him.
"Mama!" Wendla screamed.
She had no clue what was going on?
What would happen to her?
Her child?
Wendla looked around the office and saw everything.
All the instruments he had and suddenly realized it.
She was getting a surgery.
A surgery that could put both her and her child in danger.
Wendla then knew what she had to do.
It was a rebelliouse unladylike idea but accordign to her mama she had been doing many rebelliouse things lately.
And this one was her only option of this point.
Wendla waited for the doctors back to her turned and she kicked him in his leg.
The doctor screamed out in pain and in those few seconds he was down Wendla had managed to run off and escape the doctor.
Melchior had managed to escape the reformatory after he saw the note from Wnedla.
He felt horrrible.
It was his child and he should have thought about the risk more and the consequences that could come with there time in the hayloft.
Melchior ran towards the town and was almost to the home of Frau Bergmann and Wendla when he heard a crying sound near the graveyard.
Melchior looks over nad gasp as he sees that it is his beautfiul Wencla crying over Moritz grave.
Moritz then rushes over to her quickly and quielty as he can
"Wendla?" Melchior whispers.
Wendla looks up wiping her soaking eyes and face stained with tears.
"Oh Melchi! I escaped from the doctor mama took me to. I know it was wrong but at the last second I figured out he would be doing an operation that could hurt me and my child and I could not do that."
Melchior looked at her and agreed he then pulled out piece of paper.
"I was able to gather up some money I had to buy these on my way here. They are not the best way of transportation but they will do."
Wendla looked confused as she read then
"Tickets to America? I have heard it is very grand there but are you sure we can survive?"
Melchior nooded
"We have to. I can get a job threre or something. The tickets will take us to a place called Ellis Island and we will be in New York City. We can raise our child there without anyone to tell us we can not." Melchior said hopefully.
Wendla thought for a minute and then nooded.
This had to work
"When does our boat leave?" Wendla asked.
Melchior took out a small ocket watch he had from him father for years.
"About an hour. We have to hurry. I think i will be able to sell this watch and get some money to live off of if we hurry out of town. I think there is a man who can give us a deal on this." Melchior said.
Wendla and Melchior then each got up looked at the grave and sighed.
As they where leaving Melchior smiled and looked back and thought
"Finally going to American Moritz. I know it was your dream and I hope you don't mind us fufilling it. Please Watch over Wendla, our child, and I in the strange new world we will soon be living in."
The two teens then rushed off together.
8 and 1/2 months later.
Wendla sat at home worried.
They where living in a very small apartment building that Melchior had finally been able to get for them.
Most immagrants lived in dirty places where there where rooms close together and It was filled with disease sadly.
Melchior had been able to luckily make friends fast on the boat and one of the people he had been able to make friends with was a man who had a rich uncle in Amercia he was going to live with.
The friend had offered Melchior a job workign at his uncles construction bussiness and also had given then a very genorouse offer to stay with his uncle and him.
Wendla and Melchior needed moeny but did not want to be a burden in a strangers home so they asked instead if they knew any place where they could live that was small, safe, and secluded.
The man had offered a small apartment in one of the building s his uncle owned and said they could live there if they could pay rent.
Wendla felt bad that she could not finish her studies, but she quickly learned to cook and had also been able to be taught by one of her new friends in America a older woman who was the husband of a doctor and there neighbors.
The woman, Mrs. Morrison was the only person who knew of Wendla's pregnancy.
Wendla had explained all that had happened and how she had came here.
Wendla last name was now James ( AN: a billion awesome points to who ever gets the refrence to a the name hint hint think Jonathan Groff ) and Mrs. Morrision had promised that if Wendla or Melchior ever needed anything that they coem to her or her husband.
It was a day in June when Wendla suddenly flet pain in her stomach.
She gasped as held her stomach and breathed.
Could it be time?
She yelled for Melchior and he came running in from on of the rooms.
"Wendla? Whats the matter?" he said hurrying to her side.
"Wendla took some breathes before she said "It's the baby. I think it's comign now." she said now trying to breathe through the pain.
Melchior then rushed and hurried to get Mr. and Mrs. Morrison.
Mrs. Morrision quickly gotten Wendla onto the bed as her husband quickly got everything ready.
Melchior had been allowed in the room, even though ussually fathers would wait outside.
He wiped Wendla sweated drenched forehead with a a small cold towel.
Dr. Morrision looked up at Wendla from the end up the bed and told her it was time to push.
Wendla squeezed both Melchiors hand and Mr.s Morrrisions as she screamed and push.
"Ugh I can't..please don't make me do it again...It hurts." she says.
Melchior sighed and looked at the woman he loved who was now in extremem pain.
He wished he could do something, anything to take this away from her but he could not.
"Come on Wendla, one more just one then you can rest." Melchior told him as the docotor nooded to the both of them.
Wendla then gripped Melchior's hand tighter this time as she pushed with all her might.
All of a sudden a single cry was heard.
"It's a girl." said the doctor as he cut the cord and cleaned her off.
He then handed the mother her baby and smiled.
Melchior kissed both her head and his daughters.
"I'd like to name her Anna after one of my friend's back home and her middle name shlall be after your mother Melchior Fanny. Yes... Anna Fanny Gabor. I knwo that your Americna last name is Smith but I like Anna Fanny Gabor much better." Wendla says to Melchior.
Melchior just smiles and nods
"I think is a wonderful name for a beautiful little girl."
It was three months later when they got a letter from Wendla's mother asking them to at least visit home.
She had apologized and beggged to at least see her daughter.
Wendla & Melchior decided that it would be nic to see ther old friends and they should at least give there parents a chance. Melchior's for sending him to a reformatory and Wendla's for almost gettign away with letting Wendla have a dangerouse operation.
So they found a way to visit them with money that Melchior now was gettign more of after he had worked harder and had less days off to support both Wendla and Anna.
They got on the boat and rode back to Germany.
When they go there the first people that 16 year old Wendla ran into were her old Friends Anna, Martha, Thea, Anna, and Isle who had come back to live with a a cousin of hers after she relized as much as she loved the bohemian life she missed her friends to much.
"Oh Wendla? We had thought you had died of anemia. Atleast that is what we had all been told by our parents, until your mama had found out somehow that you had purchased those tickets...Oh Wendla you and Melchior are great together and we are all so happy for you." said Martha.
The others nooded
"What is her name?" asked Anna gesturing toward the little sleeping child in the pram that Wendla had.
"Anna Fanny Gabor." Melchior said proudly.
Anna smiled at the gesture and the girls all took some time to play with baby Anna until Melchior and Wendla had to leave.
The two teens with their chidl approched the home of Frau Bergmann and knocked on the door.
They had planned to meet at the home where the Gabor's also were visting at the same time waiting for their son as planned.
Frau Bergmann opened up the door and gasped as she looked at her daughter, Melchior, and their child.
She had expected Wendla to be frial and weak and dirty from not having any money but actualy it seemed just the opposite and that she had been doing fine with out her mother.
This broke Frau Bergmann's heart a bit to see that she did not need her mother just like Wenda's sister nw did not with 3 children of her own.
"Oh Wendla!" Frau Bergmann gasped as she huged her daughter.
"I am so sorry for what I did. I see now what I was going to do was wrong and selfish. I should have warned you about the consequences of actionsthat lead to you having a child. I do hope you forgive me and allow me to spend time with my grandchild." she said apologeticaly.
"We also would like to apologize and spend time with our granddaughter." Said Melchior's mother.
"We now see the errors of our ways and do hope you forgive us." spoke up Melchior's father.
They spent the rest of the day cathcing up and tellign one another what life was like in America and in Germany now.
After a week back in their home country, Melchior and Wendla decided that before they would leave they would like to do something.
They wanted to be married.
It took some prepration and only a few of there closest friends and family had been able to coem but It was a beutiful creremony held in the shade of the tree that he and Wendla had spent time together talking under.
Wendla wore her mothers old dress which had been altered to fit Wendla and Melchior wore a tuxedo.
They kissed under the tree and smiled as they looked at each other with satisfaction and happiness.
Now Melchior, Wendla, and Anna had to leave the next day to go back to America. They did though say they would come back and visit on holidays and maybe someday the others could come to America too.
Melchior smiled at his sleeping child and wife.
Fianlly they where a family.
Hope you enjoyed it. I'm sorry if there are any typos. My spell check is not working for some reason so I may have missed something. I also apologize for any historic information that I may have gotten wrong and/ or Wendla's character ebing a little OC at the beginnign when she figured out about the doctor. I do hope you enjoyed it though. It is my frst fanficiotn I ever have written besides glee. Reviews are always loved and appreciated.
