The two combatants faced each other. They had been taken from their worlds in order to fight for the amusements of unknown beings. Both had been given a choice: eternal imprisonment of their friends and family or a fight. They choose the latter. And now here they are: a young man with sandy hair, a cocksure strut, and a monkey tail and a woman with long, red-purple hair, an exposed midriff, and enough knives to kill an army. Zidane Tribal and Katarina Du Couteau. They both clutched their daggers as they stared the other, attempting to find a weakness. Zidane struck first, though it is unknown if he found an opening or he just got impatient.

He was extremely quick on his feet and reached Katarina before she could even blink. His dagger, however, met nothing but air. Katarina was no novice in the field of battle and she wasn't caught off guard for a second. Zidane suddenly, and wisely, choose to dive forward. Katarina's dagger slashed through the space that Zidane's neck had previously occupied. As Zidane looked up, Katarina vanished again. He kicked off the ground to avoid the thrust that nearly disemboweled him from behind. This time, he threw down a smoke bomb to get some distance and fled Katarina's reach. Before it even cleared, a dagger flew at Zidane. He was ready for such things, however, and caught it easily. "Nice try but you'll have to do better than… that?" Katarina answered his response with a hail of daggers. She narrowed her eyes when the smoke cleared. Zidane had caught every single dagger and let them drop to the ground. "Don't underestimate a thief!" Katarina smirked "Fine then, let's see you stop this."

Katarina breathed deeply and began to spin slowly but speeding up with every passing moment. Zidane watched her warily and kept his distance. He had no idea what she was about to do but- Katarina disappeared and appeared almost right next to him! He finally saw that she had combined her movement technique with her dagger throwing ability as the barrage began. He threw his own daggers to the ground as his hands got busy. The hail of daggers were deflected as he caught each knife and flung it away. However, the rain of blades seemed unending. Tiny cuts began to cover his hands as their dance continued. One mistake of Zidane's would end in his death but he didn't think of that. It took all he had just to keep up. Katarina responded by spinning faster and increasing the rate of daggers. It was a contest between Katarina's equipment and Zidane's endurance. The cuts became more present and soon Zidane's hands were covered in blood, making it harder to catch the weapons. Finally… the last dagger was thrown to the ground. Katarina fell to her knees. She had no more weapons. A light caught her eye and she looked up to see her opponent glowing. "This is the end. Grand Lethal." Lances of energy burst from Zidane to engulf Katarina in an orb of fire.

Winner: Zidane Tribal
