And here, yet again, is another Max is kicked out of the Flock story! How many have I created so far? There was the normal one, the PJ one (which I deleted), the twilight one… I'm going to do another Twilight one!

I put my hands on my hips, "No, Nudge. We cannot go to the mall. What if we're spotted?"
"It's always about being spotted with you! Well, we're going to be spotted anyway! We always are! And even if we weren't, we'd have to go anyway because you're so paranoid!" Nudge exploded at me. Almost all of the flock had been irritated at me for some time or another. I guessed that it was because I wasn't satisfying their needs as a leader, so I was going to make up for it.
"Flock meeting," I called. All of the Flock gathered to where I was and I took a deep breath, preparing to speak.
Fang cut me off, "Don't bother speaking. We have something to say first.
"You're being a horrible leader. It's always about what you feel. What you think. What you want. We don't want to save the world. We don't want to risk our necks because someone wants to play world domination. So we've decided to run away. Hide. But we know that you won't let us."
Angel looked at me with a bone chilling glare, "We've decided to kick you out. Without you, we can have a fighting chance at surviving. At living. But to do that, all of us must be fit to do it."
Fang pushed Iggy over to me. I caught and steadied him as he stumbled my way.
"He's too weak to keep up with us," Fang sneered.
Angel crept close to us, "Now, stay still. We just have to knock you out so that you don't see which way we go."
I snorted, "As if! We're the ones that'll be leaving you."
I took Iggy's hand and we fled away from the flock. Iggy was starting to have difficulty not tripping over rocks, so we took to the sky.
"Why are you keeping me around?" Iggy asked, "They're right. I'm weak."
"One, you're not weak. And two, even if you were, I wouldn't kick you out. You're family." I growled. How could they do this? They kicked me out, but Iggy too?
Then, just to make my day better, I had a brain attack. Iggy caught me before I went splat.
Hello Max, Jeb greeted, and don't argue with me. I don't think that you're in any position to.
Why's that? I thought.
Because Flyboys are coming to your destination as we speak. I can see you two. I'm at the McDonalds closest to you. Come in and don't make a scene. We don't want to attract attention. I'll explain later.
The pressure on my head went away and I gasped, "Get down and hide!"
I pushed myself out of Iggy's grip and took his hand. We landed and I led him to the shadowed side of an old brick building. We crept towards the familiar golden arches.
"We're meeting Jeb. Act like you're not a mutant on the run from the government." I informed him. Iggy nodded and we entered the restaurant. I located Jeb in the center with many burgers beside him. We sat down at his table.
"Eat and I'll talk," Jeb said (A/N that Twilight quote just slipped out). Iggy and I started shoveling down burgers.
"I suspected that this might happen, given the time when the Flock kicked Fang and Max out. In the case that it did happen again, I've made an alias in a rainy town in Washington. If you come with me, you'll go to school. You'll blend in. And I can give you shelter, food, and clothes." Jeb bargained. I looked at Iggy.
Iggy nodded, "As long as Max agrees."
I nodded, "I do. What are our names?"
Jeb smiled, "My name is Charlie Swan. As to keep our identities a secret, I suggest you create pseudonyms as well."
I looked at Iggy, "You choose one for me, I choose one for you?"
Iggy smiled, "Bella."
Ugh. It sounded so feminine. Then again, who'd expect me to be a Bella? It was perfect.
"Should you stay James?" I asked. Iggy shrugged. James fit him.
"James and Bella Swan, residents of Forks, Washington. Coming to visit our father Charlie after our mother…um…" I trailed off. I had gotten a great start though.
Iggy kept the ball rolling, "After our mother got remarried. We have no other family."
Jeb nodded, "Well, kids, let's go home. I've gotten you two beds and clothes. Bella, is purple okay for a bedspread?"
I nodded.
"Iggy, is white okay?" Jeb asked.
Iggy hesitated, "Could the furniture be white and the walls and carpet black? Then I'd be able to see everything."
Jeb nodded, "Actually, that's how I had done it. I figured that since you could see white, we could take advantage of that."
Iggy's mouth twitched. Could it have been a smile? I hope that Iggy hadn't taken the Flock's comments too hard.
"Wait," I interrupted our happy moment, "How do we explain the fact that Iggy and I look nothing alike?"
Iggy cracked a smile, "I'm part albino and blind."
I shrugged, "I was going to go with adopted, but that's good too."
I guess Iggy had moved to be my second in command. That's fine with me. Hey, my old second in command was all black. Now, he's all white. White skin, pale eyes, pale hair.
"What about flying?" I asked. I could not give that up. Ever.
"I bought you a truck. Drive out very late at night to a bit of forest. Everyone there –if there is anybody- will think that you're just birds." Jeb explained. Had he thought of everything?
"Let's go," Jeb said, "Before they start searching on land."
We stood up (all of our cheeseburgers and fries were finished) and walked out of the restaurant to face our new lives.
