Chap 6-Comparison leading to disaster

Lisa slightly moved in her seat. Slowly opening her eyes, she looked to her right, outside the window-the lush greenery, the beautiful morning sky, birds chirping on the trees- 'this is so beautiful'. Rubbing her eyes, she turned the other side only to find Jackson looking at her. Looking at his face, she groaned and turned away. Seeing this Jackson was amused.

"UNBELIEVABLE. Don't tell me I look so bad that you don't even want to look at my face? "

"I never said anything. You are telling it yourself."

"Whatever. Sleep well?"

"With you right beside? Not really, NO."

"Well too bad I don't give a crap about it."

"I dint expect you to either."

"It was so much more fun when you were asleep."

"You kidnapped me Jack, so deal with it."

Jackson knew that their conversation could go on and on like that. As much as he loved to aggravate her, he very well knew that that wasn't the time. They were going to reach the company bases in 15 minutes and she looked like a mess. His main problem was his boss, her beloved father who had warned him not to get violent with her. Even though it wasn't exactly what he did, but he was glad that Joe wasn't aware of anything which had happened between them during their road trip. He had to make her look during presentable.

"Okay Leese, here is the thing- we are going to reach there in 10 minutes and I certainly don't want you to look like someone had pushed you off a cliff, so I guess doll-up a bit."

"Someone pushing me off a cliff is way better than being here with you. If there was an option I would have definitely considered falling off that cliff."

"Ouch. Such a beautiful morning and Lisa acting grumpy, that doesn't sound quite good. Well whatever the reason is, I don't have time to hear it out. There is a small purse in the backseat. Everything you need is there. I want you to look presentable as we are going to have a meeting with my boss right after we get there." Not exactly my boss, but someone else as your dad doesn't want you to know about him.

Before Lisa could even utter a word, he continued, "Listen carefully Leese, my boss isn't as sympathetic as I am so I suggest you will have to quit with your snappy remarks and your violent behavior unless you want to witness the worst of me or my boss, because if you don't I won't be on your side and there will be zero possibility of me helping you. And if that happens, you have no idea how aggressive and belligerent people can transform into. Trust me, you don't want that happening. Did you understand because I won't be repeating this again?"

Lisa just stared at him blankly. Was he warning her or freaking the hell out of her? Looking at his expression, she was sure he was trying to do the latter and hell yeah, he even succeeded in it.

"First off Jack, why would you want to help me anyway? You are the one who wants to kill me remember? Besides I think I would take my chances with your boss than you because I don't think anyone can be as unscrupulous, arrogant and abusive like you are, Jack. You are nothing but a waste of space on this earth."

His knuckles turned white on the steering wheel; rage coursed through his veins and her words kept repeating in his mind again and again. 'You are nothing but a waste of space on this earth'
In a flash, he stopped the car and unstrapped his seatbelt. His pernicious nature once again took control as he clamped down one of his hands on her mouth. Before Lisa could even have the time to react, he grabbed her by her neck and smashed her head to the window behind her.

Looking straight into her eyes he bellowed with anger, "How dare you Lisa? Do you seriously think that I am a waste of space on this earth, hmm? Well, if memory serves me you were raped and assaulted by a man in the parking lot? Do you think I am more monstrous than him? "

Her breaths were coming in gasps, she couldn't talk, hell she couldn't breathe. Her eyes were terrified and tears were streaming down her face. The memories of the parking lot were racing through her mind in short intervals. She couldn't concentrate on Jackson. She was just lost in those barbaric memories which she had painfully tried to forget. Seeing Lisa quiet, angered him even more. Squeezing her neck again he screamed, "ANSWER ME, LEESE."

Her words couldn't form, she was silent. After a second she tried to shake herself out of it and snapped. "How can you be so outrageously wicked? I never thought you were so devoid of emotions, JACK. I don't need to answer your Jackson. You yourself answered it by asking me about that incident. So I am sorry, by now I think you already know your place."

"I am nothing like him, Leese. That man is a ruthless, sinful bastard. Do not EVER compare me with him."

"You are calling him ruthless Jack? Then what are you? You are just as abusive as he is. He hurts people for pleasure and you hurt people for money. That doesn't change any opinion of mine about you being a waste of space. He is pathetic and so are you."

"Don't make me a person who I am reframing myself to be when I am around you Leese. You have no idea what I am capable of and what I can do, so don't try my patience."

"What can you possibly do Jack? Threaten me? Hurt one of my family members again? Well, let me tell you one thing – all of those are just too old for me and I am not scared of you anymore."

Lisa dint know what she was saying. Jackson would not back away from Cynthia if she pissed him off any more. She was frightened of him, his sudden change of behavior but she never showed it once. Although Jackson found traces of fear in her eyes, he wanted her to take back her words. He quietly stared at her for minutes which seemed like hours for Lisa. She was waiting for him to say something, anything, because his silence scared her even more. For all she knew he was devising a plan to kill her.

Seeing no chance of Lisa backing down from this conversation, he let his emotionally hardened nature dominate his actions. He slowly removed his hand from her neck. Just as she sighed in relief, he placed that hand of her shoulder, then again up her neck and finally caressed her cheek. Lisa turned her head to her right afraid of what he might do. Taking this opportunity, he quickly bent down to kiss her neck. Realization dawned upon her, and immediately she started thrashing her hands violently on his chest trying to make some space between them. However he was just too strong for her. She tried to hit him on his face but he tactfully deflected her attempt and caught hold of her hands and pinned them above her head with one his. She started screaming until he smashed his lips on hers. His chest collided with hers and he could feel her moaning in his mouth out of fear. She started squirming beneath him, trying to desperately get away. He finally let go of her and backed away, his hands still holding hers above her head. Her eyes were filled with tears and her screams turned into sobs.

Looking at her he said."Do you still think I am as pathetic as him, hmm? Right now you are completely at my mercy and I can do whatever the hell I want with you. But NO Lisa, I am not that person and I will never be unless someone pisses me off very badly. Even though I am not exactly the person who can talk about morals, whether you accept it or not, I do have some and I wont bend down in front of them unless there is a desperate need to. I know my limits Leese, I hope you have learnt yours today."

He released her hand and sat back in his seat. Her hands dropped limply in front of her and she slowly turned to face the road in the front. She still hadn't stopped crying. Her eyes were tear-stained and her shirt was torn near her shoulder. She looked even worse than before. Looking at her, Jackson could not help but feel sorry for her. He knew he had lost control over his emotions and had gone a little too far that time but he wasn't going to apologize. 'She deserved it for keeping me in the same level as him.'

He looked at his watch; they were supposed to be there by then. 'Damn it, Leese. Thanks to you, we are late. If you would just keep your mouth shut, none of this would have happened.'

He finally broke the silence," Alright Lisa, we are already late so right now, please make yourself look...Umm... I don't know... Good. There is also a jacket in the backseat, judging by your shirt I guess you'll be needing it."

Without even looking at him, she turned back and reached for the purse. Opening it, she looked at all those things by which she could not help but be surprised. All of her things were right there, he favorite perfume, the mascara, the gloss, everything. 'Okay that's it. I won't cry anymore. He can't do anything to me, just listen to him this once and we'll see what to do later.' She silently combed her hair which was in a tangled mess and put on some mascara. After 5 minutes, she was done. Looking into the mirror one last time she put away the purse and in turn grabbed the jacket from the backseat.

Both of them stared at the road in silence. Not one word was spoken until they reached the company base. She silently put on her jacket and looked outside again. She made up her mind that she wasn't going to converse with him till he apologized. After a few minutes, Jackson turned down a corner and they finally entered into a long, narrow road.

Lisa was almost awestruck looking at the huge compound they were entering into. The gate was almost 10 feet high. The surrounding was unnaturally still and quiet. There was something unsettling about the place and huge gate gave off vibes of pain and torture. When they entered, it seemed like it had been abandoned for years and years. Not a sound of another car, no sound of people, in fact there wasn't any sign of human existence. Only when they a reached a building, did she see someone glance from a window.

Apparently Jackson was pretty used to that sort of an environment and it did not bother him at all. He stopped the car abruptly and walked on the other side. Opening the door for her, he stood there waiting for her to step outside. She was still shocked at what she had seen. She slowly stepped out of the car and was brought back into reality when he slammed the door shut.

Lisa dint even notice that there were people standing on the either side of his car waiting for them to make a move. The high buildings were giving her hints of the forthcoming sinister events. She knew that if she did not escape now, she would never be able to get away from him.

Unfortunately for her, Jackson knew exactly what she was thinking. The panic in her eyes gave away her thought of trying to escape. He instantly seized her wrists, grabbing her by her waist he pulled her closer to him in order to keep her from running away and pulling any kind of nasty stunts.

"Do not try to do anything stupid here Leese, because by the end of everything what you do, you are the only one who will get hurt", he whispered harshly into her ear.

Immediately, she tried to run but it was all useless. He pulled her in more closer and held her hands behind her back. Trying desperately to break free from his grip, she managed to hit him with her elbow on his jaw. Even though she knew that his reaction to this would not be so welcoming, she just wanted the satisfaction of hurting him. Just as she had expected, he caught hold of her elbow and twisted it until tears started forming in her eyes and she begged for him to stop.

He let go of her elbow only to grab both her wrists. Pulling her inches from his face, he said warningly, "I never expected you to be so foolish Lisa. Trust me Leese if you continue to act on impulse rather than logic, you will regret this here. I already warned you back in the car and I won't warn you again. DO not get out of your limits or bear the consequences. This is completely your choice Leese. You can either choose to continue to be arrogant and foolish or you can think wisely and help us get the security pass code of Keefe, because right now everyone in the company knows that you are the only one who can be helpful to this mission and you are way too valuable to let go."

"I do not care about whatever you say Jack. No way in hell I will tell you the security pass code of Keefe. You must be out of your mind if you actually think that I am going to help you and your god damned company on attacking him again."

"C'mon Leese, I thought you knew me better than that. I never pegged you as a thickheaded person. You, for one should know that I can go to any limit to get what I want and when I do it won't be so pleasant."

"Well then I guess that even you should be well aware that I won't give up any secrets to kill an innocent man just for the sake of my life."

"You should know that there are something's my company excels at- which includes in making people give in to their demands. And let me tell you one thing Leese, as far as I know you, something else matters most to you than your life and that is one weapon I will have to use against you if circumstances arise. I don't want to do that and I won't, until and unless you yourself force me to. So think about what I said again and think calmly as if your life depends on it because Lisa, it really does."

Before she could even answer, another man came up to Jackson and informed him about some meeting which Lisa figured it might be with his boss. However she chose to remain quiet and not ask any questions. Jackson answered him with a slight nod and looked back at Lisa again who seemed unnaturally quiet.

"C'mon Leese, we got to go inside. I will have someone to lead you to your room as I have some work."

"No Jack, do whatever you want but I am not going inside there, not with you, NEVER."

Jackson sighed in frustration. Somehow her defiance angered him. He was actually surprised that after all he had told her just few minutes back, she was just acting downright obdurate. Either she wasn't scared of him or she was trying to pretend she wasn't. 'I will change that attitude of yours in no time Leese. Let me just get you to spend some time with me and you WILL have to think twice every time before you say something to me and that's a promise.' He knew he dint have any time to deal with her right now so there was just one option left.

Reaching behind her head, he placed both his thumbs at a point at the base of her skull. Before Lisa could try and remove his hands from there, he gently applied pressure and within a matter of 2 seconds, her eye lids fluttered and the whole world went black. She fell limply into his arms and he gently picked her up and carried her inside the building. Walking up to the 2nd floor, he entered a dim lit room. It wasn't properly furnished but there was a bed right next to a huge window on the opposite side of the main wall. He lowered her down to the bed and looking at her calm and peaceful face one again, he left the room.
